I started to have engine problems on the 101 freeway and I got an immediate tow to the shop. Kevin and the staff were extremely courteous and accommodating and accepted the job to get my vehicle up and running on the spot. The diagnosis, repair process and the costs were upfront and explained with pictures and clear explanation via text messages as they worked on my vehicle. Less than 2-days later my vehicle was fixed and ready to be picked up. They wrote a detailed explanation of what the problem was and how it was fixed and what I could expect.I am very grateful to have been given the recommendation by Petey with Eddie’s Towing of their outstanding business practice and reputation. Absolute top quality! Brought my ‘87 SAAB 900 Turbo in with an electrical issue, a non-function AC system, and a severely leaking power steering system. They thoroughly diagnosed the problem, and worked with me on additional problems they found during further inspections. Great work! Highly recommended

Kevin and his crew were very friendly. Kevin is a very knowledgeable mechanic. Its hard to find people to work on Corvttes. He knew how to lift my car and do the service. He performed a complete check on my car and advised me of what should be done in the future. I would recommend this shop, I will be back in the future to have more service work done.

Im very impressed with Kevin and all his employees at KG Performance. Im greeted with a smile when I arrive. They checkup to see that the service went well. They dont overcharge or try and sell you something you dont need. Its difficult to find a shop that is honest. I had a mechanic, I loved, in Ventura for 25+ years. He sent all of his Volvo business to another shop, down the street that he had planned on joining after he closed his shop. Unfortunately,, he never was able to join the new shop. Two years later after going to this new shop, I went in for my third oil change with them. Expected to pay around $100. I came out with a $3400 bill. Yes, I had to pay it to get my car back.After that horrible experience I was a little skeptical of being able to find an honest mechanic. Im pleased to say honest mechanic is not an oxymoron. Im so happy to have found Kevin at KG Performance. They are all very attentive, friendly, and yes...honest The needle in the haystack.

Did work on a classic 67 Shelby. Got all the special parts, and repaired clutch linkage to new condition. Repaired power-steering problem w/new lines. Was pleased with repair and the time it took to complete it 😊.

Ok so this one is from left field. I have a 1966 C10. Been having charging issues, the engine runs hot, and the brake system wasnt performing correctly. Another mechanic suggested I take it to KG. I was surprised that Kevin, the owner, was actually willing to tackle my old truck. Not many mechanics are willing to go down that rabbit hole. They found and fixed every problem the way you would expect professional and knowledgable mechanics to do. Trust me when I say that its super hard to find this level of work. Ill be bringing all my cars over to Kevin and I would suggest you do as well if you want it done right.

My Car AC was blowing hot air and I thought it was going to be a $500 or $600 repair to the compressor. I took my car to Kevin who went out of his way to check every single aspect of the AC SYSTEM to find the true problem rather than just selling me on a big job. They are so honest and trustworthy and I will only be taking my cars here! Long story short they saved me a ton of money and got my car fixed fast!

This is the second time I have used KG Performance since the switch from Swedish Performance, and am very happy with my experience. I was able to get my car in right away and get it back the same day. The receptionists are extremely friendly and were able to look up my past services to see what my car was due to have done. Ill be back for sure!

Kevin and the KG Performance team are seriously the best! I recently came in to have my oil & filter changed, brakes checked, and fluids checked. When I called in for service, Patty at the front desk was great with getting me scheduled for a service appointment, gathering info on what I needed, and gave me a timetable on return of my vehicle. Kevin took the time to greet me when I arrived and allowed me to give a brief rundown of what I needed. Patty called me later in the day after the team had done diagnostics to inform what was or wasnt needed at this time. After my OK, they got everything dialed in and told me to come pick up!I greatly appreciate the communication, honesty, and fair pricing from a top mechanic and team. They replaced the driver’s side window motor. They replaced part of it a few months ago. When I had a new problem with it today, they replaced the entire problem at NO charge. That is good customer service and why I won’t hesitate to bring my car back for any future repairs. Thanks!!!

Dishonest and clearly didn’t know what he was doing on this one.First, I called the shop thinking that it was still Swedish Performance, who had always done excellent work. When I found out that it was a new shop, I should have stopped there. Anyway, I asked for and was quoted a price to do a torsion bar adjustment on my vehicle. I confirmed that this was the price for an actual adjustment, not an inspection, so I brought the car in. The next day I received a call saying that he (Kevin) looked up the specs for the adjustment, but that he wouldn’t adjust it past this amount. I told him to go ahead and adjust it to the specs and he told me that it was going to cost more than the original quote because it was more involved than he thought. This amount was over five times the original quote, and this was not based on parts or other work other than just the adjustment. Kevin quoted me for work that I knew to be unnecessary in order to perform the adjustment. At five times the original quote I didn’t authorize him to do the adjustment. When I picked up the vehicle, I asked Kevin if he had measured the part that needed the adjustment as the specs were dependent upon the dimensions of that particular. He told me he had not, so I asked him how he knew what the spec was. He didn’t, he simply told me a spec for a part.Kevin still charged me despite having actually performing no work on the vehicle, misleading me with the original quote and making up a specification. In fact, the invoice states “This job has a lot more involved than we originally anticipated” although it was a straightforward standard adjustment for this type of vehicle. In the end, a big waste of my time and money with no actual work performed.

First time use this European auto repair shop. The repair charge seems reasonable along line web research. Seems trustworthy, will use them again for other future repairs and services.

I wont hesitate to return here with the next issue one of our vehicles will have, because it happens. KG Performance are AWESOME!! They’re in the old Swedish Performance bay in Camarillo. For much of my life Bert and crew kept my parents’, my and now my kids’ cars going, so we were a bit hesitant for someone new. We need not have been! New owner Kevin even has some of the old mechanics from SP. He and Patty in the office are professional, with that small town courtesy we love. They did thorough repairs, working within our budget, and got the cars back to us within a day. Such a relief to find a trustworthy car mechanic!!

This shop is the only place I go to get my SAAB fixed and they’ve always made sure I was back on the road in no time. I just got a Honda and it was a nightmare so I took it to them and had everything fixed and that thing runs like a Brand new race car. Can’t thank them enough💕

Waited 3 to 4 hours for them just to get me the wrong part, any mechanic knows if your catalytic converter goes out and your check engine light comes on, its more than likely your first catalytic converter is the main issue, but this place assumed it was my second catalytic converter that went out 😂

Came to visit family 16 hours and broke down in town. Called to find used parts or bite the bullet and get new ones. Never got a call back. Went to pick the part in santa Paula and pulled parts myself and fixed it. I guess an old 240 isnt worth their time.
