Really, I just drove for husband to shop. Store is clean, employees personable. I didnt give 5 stars only because I didnt even buy anything. Husband purchased fuel canisters for portable grill and Sports Academy IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT SELL THE SIZE WE NEEDED. Wed been to 1/2 dozen places that didnt. So YAY success!

I spent over 1000 in the store back in May. I purchased a rod that I only used 3 times and it snapped when I set the hook on a fish that ended up weighing around 3 to 4 lbs. The man up front told me that he would replace the rod( which is what I wanted him to do), also,, a g x 2 ugly stik rod and reel that the reel was frozen up on before it ever was put into the water. I also brought it in to be replaced. He stated that usually the return would need to be made within 90 days but that he would go ahead and give me store credit because I had my receipt. I told him that I simply wanted to replace them. Neither of them had a scratch other than where my Rod snapped when I was setting my hook on a largemouth bass. While he took my items to the return desk, my husband and I went to find the replacements. Once found, I took them to the man so that they could be exchanged, he told me that he was sorry and wouldnt be able to help me after all. I asked if there was anyone else there that I might be able to talk to and he replied to me that he was the store manager. Then he had me to walk with him to see another lady. She told me that she wouldnt be able to accept it because it had been over 60 days. The store manager said the policy was usually 90 days but that he would help me. This other lady tells me 60 days and was very rude. I paid 140 dollars for that rod and 50 dollars for the ugly stik combo. Not to mention the other items that I purchased. Again, over 1000 bucks spent, only to find out i cant be helped. Hell, I couldnt even get the same policy

Aside from them not having everything needed, their customer service was outstanding. I had the pleasure of having Omar as my cashier and he was extremely sweet & fast. I unfortunately threw away my receipt and couldn’t fill out the survey, but I hope Omar & the team at Academy know what a wonderful job he is doing! Hopefully I get to see him again next time I come in, keep up the great work!

Came to shop here after I was having little luck finding shoes (my taste) at other shoe stores in Burleson. I loved the variety of shoes and the fact that they were well stocked up on merchandise. Other stores would have shoes I was interested in, only to find they never had my size. That was not the issue here. The store was busy since its back to school but the register lines were steady moving.

Ray was super helpful, great attitude. I tried in so many shoes and he was all smiles and super helpful the whole time. Took forever but I found exactly what I needed

I have been going to this Academy location since 2012. And I’ve always gotten good service. Today I had the pleasure of a gentlemen cashing me out. He kept apologizing for being slow. I just told him your ok. As I was walking out to my car to leave, I found myself walking back in to say something to him. But with all respect, there were other customers he was cashing out and I didn’t want to interrupt him. OMAR… Never apologize for being slow…if you feel you have to apologize…apologize for trying to be PERFECT :)

I had a little trouble finding what I needed and finding a worker to assist me. The store was organized a lot better than the one closer to my home. Someone should definitely reorganize the shoe department for sure.

When I went in to get some shoes. No one was around to ask for help! Almost like they were hiding!? Store was not very clean either.

Went in for a couple pair of athletic shoes for different purposes and both were in stock, in my size and WIDE. Excellent prices on name brand shoes also. Window shopped the Columbia clothes brand, but shorts in my size were difficult to find. It is middle of summer, so that is probably why. A good clean Academy Sports. I highly recommend this location!

Great! They have a limited bike selection due to it being summer. We found a 26 for my guy but the tires were flat and the shocks were leaking lubricant. Im not sure if that is a manufacturer issue or just the bikes are not very well placed on the racks. Overall great selection of sports gear for all activities. Would recommend for volleyball, baseball, and other sports .

I dont shop here often, but Ive enjoyed my experience each time - especially today. The gentleman that helped me on the floor and the gentleman at the cash register were exceptional. Thanks Academy.

Whenever, we visit Academy its like walking in a candy store. Large selection of sporting goods, shoes and other items. Isles are wide and store is very clean. Love this place.

A manager named Ross took care of an issue on a bike I had got here. He explained in detail what was wrong, and gave a full replacement of the same bike. First class customer service all the way. I am planning to buy another bike here next week. Thank you!

The customer service is always great at Academy!I guess with the Coronavirus pandemic, more people have been buying up workout equipment, because my husband and I had searched several stores & couldnt find any barbell weights. Inventory has improved in some areas. I wish they would go back to carrying Womens Sketchers sandal type shoes. Ammo supply was pitiful.

I have found this academy to have a great selection and the had lots of sizes in shoes even during back to school. We found backpacks, Water bottles, shoes and clothes all in one trip.

I don’t normally complain about bad customer service but when it’s as bad as my last experience, I have to. A young African American lady with red hair at the Burleson, Tx location was so rude to me yesterday. I was just there for an online order and it wasn’t at the front desk yet. She then said something but I don’t hear very well so I asked her to repeat it and she huffed and rolled her eyes and yells at me to move to the side to wait. At no point, until I was yelled at, was I rude or uncooperative with her. She was rude from the beginning even though I was try to help her out by finding my pick up email to make her job even easier. I don’t know what her problem was but I was enough for me to write this. Just wanted to tell you my experience.

This place had the biggest and best selection of baseball softball and t-ball equipment Ive found anywhere! Im heading there again today to pick up a few more items for my grandkids. They also have a good pricing variety and a helpful employee when I needed it. Id give this place an a+

Went in for a replacement rocking lawn chair. They had a great selection of colors and sizes! Aside from when I checked out I did not interact with any of the sales staff.

FANTASTIC Customer service from 3 associates. One took me directly to item I was looking for. The cashier was very friendly. I also picked up a order I placed and it was ready in 20 minutes. The associate brought me my order quickly and I asked her questions about a Academy card and she knew all of my answers. I went back an hour later to purchase another item. Had my first experience been bad I wouldnt have went back for the item I wanted. It is rare to see incredible customer service like this. Very pleased.

I am purchasing a gun. My order was delayed. I was still in the store waiting for a phone call. I should have gotten a call telling me it was delayed so I can come back later when its approved. I am not in the best of health and it was hard for me to be standing that long. They were stocking shelves and there was lots of boxes and thanks be put up but Ill see nobody putting them up many things where unpriced and not in the proper area could be from like of employees

Store is amazing but a bit pricey for what i was looking for. I have to say though very clean store. The employees were super sweet.

I am a stock holder in ASO because its probably my favorite place to shop. The only reason I give it 3 of 5 stars is customer service in various departments, specifically shoes is practically non existent and/or not friendly. Just once it would be nice to have someone ask May I help you find something today?, anything except my last few experiences. Hire naturally friendly people and train them to be proactive.

Went looking at bikes. We did not end up purchasing one here. BUT the young man who was walking the aisle was able to answer many questions for us. I come here for my under armor needs, and always have good experiences.

Ive never seen it this bad. Im guessing they only had about 20 or 25 guns in the store. Thats pistols, rifles and shotguns. The ammunition shelves were bare of any handgun ammo and very little rifle ammo. Pretty good amount of shotgun shells in the bird shot variety but be prepared to get up off of your wallet.

I dont like their clothes. I have a stepson that work their, when he suppose to get off work at a certain time,the manager that close that night, will keep them longer and I dont like that because I be sitting out side waiting on him over an hour. They need to respect their employees when they need to get off work on time.

Horrible experience the time we went, no help on salesfloor. Then when there is (help)its almost like pulling teeth, everyone is annoyed. At the register, cashiers did not greet us and were asking each other about lunch plans. We tried talking to the manager but he was as young as the cashiers so not sure if anything got fixed.

Super busy on a Saturday evening right before Fathers Day. Even with some bare shelves, had what I needed and the associate at the store pickup was great.
