Took my brothers pc to get looked at over an overheating problem and got told that I would need a new motherboard due to thermal paste somehow being in the pins which makes no sense. Opened it up and saw that they actually bent the pins and thats why the new motherboard is needed. He was able to do everything except play games on it before taking it in and now it wont even display anything.

Very nice staff and very helpful. I had water damage one week and they were able to help fix it for much cheaper than other places offered. The next week I was helping a friend fix there computer and they offered me some tools I needed and they actually helped fix the issue. Very nice people.

A computer repair company should be honest & accountable. They should do what they say they will do. If they make a mistake (we are all human, I get it) they should own it, apologize & make it right. Systek dropped the ball on our repair job. They did not do what they said they would do. They left us waiting around & did not call us back TWICE. They wasted our time & were not accountable for their errors. They have lost our trust. The manager could have reconciled this with a simple phone call, honest explanation & genuine apology but chose not to so we chose not to use this business again or recommend them to others.Update: Wow! I wish we had read the reviews before deciding to use Systek. I’m seeing a trend in the 24 other 1 star reviews. We will try one of the local businesses that are recommended here by other dissatisfied Systek customers. We called Systek first because we used them years ago when they were in CS by the H‑E‑B. I don’t remember having a problem that time but it was many years ago.

My laptop was making loud fan noises, and I decided to open the back panel and clean up the fan as I have done it before. However, after I was done, my laptop did not turn on anymore. I have a knowledge of computer hardware since it is my major, and I had my doubt that the issue could be from the wire connecting to the power button. However, I decided to take the laptop to a repair store since they have better tools for diagnosis and repair. So, I took my laptop to Systek Computing in the morning and told them about the issue and my doubt about the power button. They told me that they would call me back in the afternoon, which they never did. They had my laptop for 48 hours, and after I called them, they said the motherboard is dead! This means I need to put aside at least $1000 to buy a new decent laptop, which is unfortunate. So, I brought the dead laptop home and tried to look into the power button and wire/ socket connection myself. After I reconnected the wire to the socket, the laptop started working again! Systek Computing wasted my time and charged me $80 for the wrong diagnosis of a laptop that was already open when given to them and were told about the possible issue. They did not refund me later and did not care to apologize. I was lucky that I knew about computers and was able to fix it myself. The main question is can you trust this place?

Review:Absolute embarrassment of a company. For 2 and a half months this company had my laptop when I initially went in for a simple fan replacement. An expected wait of 2 weeks for arrival and repair turned into a month of stress. They fried my motherboard and as much as owner likes to re-word it, they did. I was called back every week during the month being told, your laptop is fixed to then pick it up, bring it home, and find it not fixed. The drives to their office and back were 30-40 minutes, so it made it more infuriating having to go back every time. By the 3rd time I had to return my laptop, I finally had a discussion with the owner of the company. On multiple occasions I spoke to him about reimbursement/compensation. He would deny they need to do as he said he was already fixing my laptop. It felt like talking to a wall. I finally got my laptop back after 2 and half months to only find that nearly half my screws were gone, and all the software they used to test my laptop still cluttered it. After getting back some screws and having the software removed, I can now only use my laptop with extreme caution because as much as they mightve said they fixed it, I feel itll start acting up soon.Update:My laptop no longer works, it can barely be turned on for 2-5 minutes before crashing.Response to the Owner:Wow, so this is how you try to save face. You deflect the blame and throw your customer under the bus.My laptop has 3 fans, only 1 of the 3 was having issues. Had I run the machine, it would not overheat since the other 2 fans were still working properly. So no, I did not have the laptop on without a fan. Nevertheless, I made sure not to use the laptop for long periods. I only used it to transfer files in or out. I also refrained from any stressful programs or games.You say that from the beginning Jaime began demanding we replace the whole machine. So you call me a liar. I did in fact start demanding that you replace my laptop, but it wasnt from the beginning. It was only after the incompetence of your company had me driving back and forth across town every weekend for a month. Yet you denied me, as well as any form of compensation as I said above in my review. Instead you insulted my intelligence, comparing it to believing money grows on trees.I am completely astounded and disgusted that not only did you not try to accept blame for making my laptop unusable, at the very least apologize, but you made an attempt to paint me as the one at fault.

Brought my rig in here to have its BIOS updated as well as issues involving sound playback. When I came to pick it up I was told AFTER I paid that the sound should be fixed and that they DIDNT update the BIOS because its too risky. The issues with my sound returned after a few days. Wont be coming back here.*Update*I returned again to have my BIOS updated and they did it free of charge.

If I could rate this company 0 stars I would, I had a terrible experience here. I initially dropped off my computer for a diagnostic and was told that there would be a wait time to get an answer (which was expected). After a week, I called back to see if they had diagnosed my computer yet and I was told that they hadnt even looked at it yet. From that point on I called everyday to see when they would start and finish a diagnostic. It wasnt until six days later that I got some information about my computer and, I probably wouldnt have gotten this information if I hadnt called. At this point they had had my computer for almost 2 weeks. They then said they could fix my computer and the part would take two weeks to come in and once the part came in it would take about 24 hours to repair. Two weeks later I was notified that the part for my computer had arrived and that they would fix it right away but I didnt get a call back from them for another 3 days. It wasnt until after these three days that they notified me that the wrong part had been delivered! How did they not catch this when the part first arrived? I dont know. At this point my computer had been with Systek for well over a month and nothing had been fixed. Their customer service was terrible, I literally had to hound them for answers about my computer, and when it came time to fix my computer the wrong part was delivered. They offered to reorder the part and that they MAY have it expedited, (which I dont understand why they didnt do that in the first place, and on top of that how would I know if the wrong part would be delivered again?!, On top of that, they didnt offer me any refund for the money I had spent on the diagnostic or a discount toward fixing the computer. Since it had been a month since I dropped my computer off and it still hadnt been fixed I decided to pick it up and take it somewhere else. This place is HORRIBLE.

Terrible. Told me my laptop would be fixed in a week, but when I called that following week they told me they hadn’t ordered the parts. They told me I had to wait another week to order parts and repair my laptop. So the second week rolls by and I call them to confirm if my laptop had been finished. They then tell me that the part that they ordered doesn’t fit my laptop and they can’t have it by the day promised. Very unprofessional and wasteful of my time. As a student all of my saved documents, work, and files are on my laptop. Would not recommend this place if you want to get you’re repairs in a timely manner.

Systek is amazing!! They helped me repair my flash drive and saved all of my important documents! Best Buy wanted to charge me up to 2,000 dollars for the same repair, but Systek fixed it in an hour for 65 dollars! Great customer service too.

Systek has really good personnel. Angel knows networks and setup & fixed our home system getting all the devices, extenders connected. Checked Ethernet cables for connections, connecting printers. He just can do it all. Systek calls before they arrive and they come on time.

Bought my computer in here to to have the chip set cleaned and plugged again at the mother board. I e-mail them before to make sure they have the machinery to this type of hardware repair. When I arrived I had to pay an hour of diagnosis work, after a week, they tell me that to repair i needed a new mother board, which as never the option for me because I new what I wanted fixed. I wasted 75 dollars going to this place. They go to the easy expensive solution and charge you to do that, and if you dont keep calling them, they dont even look at your computer. That is my conclusion for the lazy diagnostic that took a week.

I brought in a laptop that I had spilled water on this past Friday, they were so kind with helping me get a stripped screw out and helping me take the battery and back casing off. They were friendly and so understanding in such a stressful situation. They let me feel reassured that everything would be okay after airing out my laptop. After the weekend I brought my laptop back in to get assistance putting the screws back in and putting everything back together. By far the greatest, friendliest, and most comforting service Ive ever had. If you have any problems with any of your technology dont waste your time going anywhere else but here!! 100% recommend to everyone who needs technical assistance with a smile :)

They do good work here. Price per hour is a little expensive but should be expected for the quality of work, especially considering the few places left like this. They dont price match on components but do take care of warranty work. Overall Ive had a good experience for the things Ive gone for and definitely would recommend.

Brought a laptop in on Saturday for a new battery. Was the only customer in the store at that time. Was told a new battery was available to be ordered and that it would be ready for pickup on Thursday or Friday. I said that was fine and paid $70 as an advance payment. On Friday (6 days later) they called and asked if I wanted to order the battery. They forgot to order the battery and it took them 6 days to notice that it wasn’t done. Got a refund and my computer back as I was not pleased with their service.

Great, Ive used Systek for over 15yrs. In the beginning they fixed problems that the others could not, since then Systek has all of our desktops and laptops running optimally. Systems Premium PMP plan gets me in and out, typically the same day...great for me, I live 45 minutes away. I have been so pleased that drive back in to have Systek work on my PC when I work out of town; they fix it and its right.

My computer froze at the most critical time. I panicked. I took it to Systek. From the moment I walked in- to the time I picked up the computer, every member of the staff greeted me with a smile and dedicated focus to help me. Matt was the tech that worked on my computer. He found issues I was unaware of and tweaked several things that made the fee worth every penny. I was able to pick up the unit in one day. Matt even took the time to educate me on some things I asked about. If you go during this season they even have cookies and hot chocolate! Thank you guys for such incredible service.!!!!!!!!

My computer was running super slow and I had no idea why. A family member recommended Systek and I thought why not? I LOVED my experience with them. I am a college student and needed my computer back as soon as possible, after all its my lifeline to all my studies. Systek understood that and got my computer up and going and back to me in a timely manner. They were so understanding and patient with me when I didnt understand what they were talking about, because I dont do computers at all(at least the tech side of it). Haha. I had a problem with my motherboard. I asked for Rush fixing to get my laptop back as soon as possible. But they were 2 weeks late! On top of that they did not fix the damn thing. He said they looked for a new motherboard but didnt find one. And I paid $70 for a 1 hour diagnostic. So basically they took my laptop for 3 weeks, didnt fix it, and charged me $70. What a failure.

We have known Craig Paull, owner of Systek for many years, since he assisted us in setting up our website when we were new to the community and beginning our business. He was super efficient and knowledgeable and very reasonable and fair in his pricing. Over the years we have continued to use Systek and he and his staff have worked on our devices and solved our computer problems. Even after the service, if there was a question, they helped to solve the issue. In particular, Denise, who has helped us in the past, was extremely accommodating as we spoke on the phone. Systek is, first and foremost, a predatory business that preys on students. Relying on the forgetful nature of busy college students, they give blatantly false information regarding when certain jobs will be finished. I, personally, was explicitly told I would receive an estimate on Monday and didnt get it. I gave them two days grace and then proceeded to contact them on Wednesday. I was put on hold several times for 5+ minutes with no reason given while, I assume, they thought of an excuse. Of course, they had not even started. As a student, having my computer back when it was promised is critical and because I need it to do a lot of my work at home. Not only did the associate that helped me straight up lie about the time table, but when I went in to pick up my computer to take it to a different repair shop, she shot me a dirty look (I was short with her on the phone). So, in short, dont go here. Its ridiculously expensive and their rates skyrocket if you arent willing to part with your computer for a fortnight.

I took my 2-in-1 laptop to get the touchscreen replaced after I dropped it. Because it was the end of the semester, they stated they were incredibly busy and were completely honest that it would most likely not be diagnosed for a week or so. I was fine with that as I simply needed it before the next semester. They instructed me to call to inquire on its status as frequently as I desired. I called twice a week for a couple of weeks, and the receptionist was extremely helpful and happy to help every time. While there was a slight hiccup in the repair, they were open and honest about it and even charged me significantly less than what I was quoted because of the delay of an extra day or two. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and honest, and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Please for the love of god!! Do not go here!!Go to Brazos Valley Computers. They will charge and increase and lie! Please please please! They hire college students and are really bad at finances. I had to breakdown my cost for them to understand why there is an increase!!My boyfriend and I went in and was helped. We had a technician look at our laptop and order the part. In front of us, he said the part was $65. We signed the paper and asked him a bunch of questions. We signed and checked for $126 rate. We described the issue CLEARLY. Again, we asked our questions.One week later, they called saying the didn’t the fix the problem and it was going to clost almost $100 additional, when our bill was already $200! What was the $200 for? To pay for your incompetence? I asked the person over the phone why was i notified that the $200 was going to get the job done and this is what the man said “they should’ve diagnosed that before” [inferring the two people who helped when i paid for the laptop] I’m paying for a mistake!When i asked why that $200 didn’t fix the issue in the description that i put on the paper and discussed with them personally..he said “there is always a risk”In addition, i agreed to pay $200. I even confirmed when paying that i did not need to pay more than what i signed for.Over the phone call, they charged me $30 more! WITHOUT CALLING!!! I screenshots the exact amount that i need to pay and wow how it increased! Again, they increased the price without calling or letting us know! I had to do my own damn calculations and let the tech know the difference in prices.I had argued my point over the phone and will go speak to a manager. This place will bill hundred of dollars and not get the job done. If i knew that the first $200 was not the going to fix the issue due to their lies and incompetent staff, why would i waste my money?My boyfriend and I are college students and we need electronics. My laptop was not fixed and i was lied to...again “the staff should have told you...”—> type of stuff they told me over the phone. I recently brought in my laptop for repair here. I brought it in for a cooling fan replacement 11/08/18. I wasnt informed of any delays when bringing it in, and didnt get a confirmation of its completion until 12/01/18. That aside, the bottom frame doesnt close properly anymore. The computer also has applications deleted, along with a greater startup time. Ive never written a negative review before, however I have never been so dissatisfied with a service before.

When my Sony Vaio crashed within months of a major altercation and supposed repair with the big box guys, there was a significant amount of wailing, moaning and gnashing of teeth! Not on my part, but on the part of the other guys. I was furious. I can tell you that I was not looking forward to another experience like that. I decided to try Systek because they were on my way to work and opened early. Walking in the door was the best part. The pace was calm. The atmosphere was pleasant. And the service personnel were so nice and accommodating. I dropped off the laptop at 8am and picked it up the next afternoon around 5pm. No hassle. No excuses. And the price was a fraction of what I was charged at the other place. For a truly fair price I had turnkey service. It does not get any better than that! THANK YOU!

Really expensive place. The lady(I cant recall her name) in the front was complete uninformed about the prices of their services. She would repeatedly be going to another man for help. They has quoted me $280 for a computer screen repair, and said it would take 24 hrs to complete if they had the screen in stock. If not in stock, it would take longer. I was in shock because they quoted me more $ than what the computer had originally cost me. I took the computer and went to Aggieland Computer Service. They fixed the computers screen in one hour and charge less than half of what Systek was asking. This place will rip you off. Avoid it and go somewhere else.

They have a place of business which has a pleasing appearance and their staff of technicians and specialists have been able to efficiently and productively solve all the hardware/software issues which have confronted me. Additionally, they merchandise a line of hardware and components which are needed for individual computing. I would recommend them to anyone with needs in technology.

I brought my laptop in because a previous shop had left the back end of the case open. Despite being warned by multiple people about the $99 diagnostic fee, Systek was up front that the fee is only charged if you dont decide to go through with their services. I decided to and was given a loaner and a quote of a worst case scenario being that the case on my laptop needed replacement: $400.I turned my laptop in Thursday and was told that Id hear back Monday. The tech called me on Saturday and was very informative about what he found and what he was going to do. I got my laptop back today and it looks WONDERFUL. Plus? We came in way below their quote at just $160 for the repair and the cost of the loaner they lent me so I could keep working.My second time with them has also been great. The same shop that messed up my laptop from before also botched the fan installation. Rather than run me a repair that was insanely expensive, Systek found the damage and was very honest that it was likely unfixable. Despite the fact that my laptop is a goner, I truly appreciate the honesty theyve shown me.

My laptop had a stuck key and then thinking I could fix that, I broke the key off. I took to Systek Computing to be repaired. They did a diagnostic on my laptop and always called me before any repairs were to be done and would give me an estimate of what it would cost. I was extremely pleased with their work and felt that they are very trustworthy. They DO have very good customer service!

Took my Alienware laptop in and it was really cheap to repair, $90 as opposed to $300-$600 that other services estimated. But it took a month to do the repair and my laptop has a lot of new scratches on the top of it that werent there before. The month didnt bother me that much but now the laptop doesnt look as good as before.

I needed a program removed from my computer and then another one installed to block a family member from getting on the internet and chatting. The service person fixed the computer and then when it was ready showed me how to use it. We havent had any problems with the computer and I was very impressed with the service and knowledge of the people working at Systek Computing. I came in to Systek in College Station Texas after getting my Toshiba laptop cleaned of its virus angry thinking I had been charged too much and the staff took their time showing me everything they did on my laptop and how it was now protected for life from malware. I came in expecting to get angry and have to ask for managers to get help but they were just amazing. It was well worth the money to get serviced by such a great staff and I would advise anyone with computer problems to use their services.

Absolute horrible company! I takes weeks to get your computer fixed!!!!!Also, their customer service is absolutely horrible! They never once called me in three weeks to update me on the status of my laptop! NEVER AGAIN!!!! I paid $70 flat rate diagnostic fee, which is seriously unreasonable! Then I paid another $80 for more memory! I paid almost half what the price of my small laptop cost!

I became a customer accidentally when we asked about a local shop that did repair but didnt charge as much as big box stores. When Office Depot said they send some of their work to Systek, I decided to give them a try. They proceeded to make a correct analysis on the repair I needed then.When I decided a few months later to buy a small-sized computer, like the Lenovo Ideapad I did buy, I wanted to buy from them because of their helpfulness, friendliness, and knowledge during my first experience with them. And I liked the idea that they were local and I could speak with them directly about the issue at hand.After this very pleasant and gratifying experience, I knew that this was the place for me for anything computer-oriented. I am a bit tardy writing this review, but it is partly because I havent had any computer problems lately!! Thus, I havent had to think about Systek Computing.I heartily recommend Systek for your computer problems OR needs. I have had to avail myself of their services more than once, and I have bought a laptop from them. I have never been disappointed!These folks will take care of you, and they will do what they promise. Go see them if you need repairs or need to buy a computer or software.

They charged me 65$ just to take my laptop as an upfront payment for the labor. Few hours later the tech guy called to tell me he will charge me at least 250 more as labor costs just to figure out what the problem was, not including the parts cost. I said no thanks and went to pic up my laptop and they refused to refund the original payment. Awful experience, would not recommend unless you have deep pockets.

Took my laptop in to Systek Computing on Friday, it was loaded up with 27 viruses, they called me the following Monday and had it zipping along like a new one. Did me a great job, at a fair price. I will use them again when the need arizes.

I had a problem with my computer shutting off in 30 minute increments, and the technicians were able to diagnose it and give me some options for either repairing or replacing my computer - I chose the latter and they were very honest in working with me on the right computer for my needs. I would recommend Systek for its honest staff who provide accurate assessments of computer problems and offer fair pricing.

These guys are incredible. i cant believe how friendly and helpful they are!!! My friend recommended me here and i wont ever go anywhere else for anything i want to do with my computers again. The moment youll meet these guys you will feel safe and know you are getting hooked up in every way possible. They even set me up with a free windows key! Best deals, great speed and a pleasure to work with. Geek squad is to a mcdouble as systek is to a venetian roast duck with mango salsa and yuca chutney. Highly recommend

I wish I could give them no stars my laptop screen was replaced on a older Mac Model when my laptop was returned the internet did not work he said he thought it was weird that no internet card was inside the computer but on the older Macs the WiFi card is located at the bottom of the screen basically he didn’t know where the WiFi was and didn’t connect it now I have to buy a new WiFi card because they ruined the previous one that was in the screen that was cracked Great now i have a useless computer with no WiFi

I have a history of being scammed at computer shops so when I first went into Systek Computing I was extremely on the defensive with them from the start. I needed a CPU cooler for a couple days installed on the computer I built myself. I am a Junior Management Information Systems Major at TAMU. I explained to them I didnt have a lot of money up front and I couldnt afford an hour of labor and so I would have to figure out how to install this CPU fan myself looking at youtube videos (having only worked with AIO Liquid Coolers before). Virginia assured me she would take care of me and my rig (desktop) and get me the lowest price possible and she did just that and more I cant thank her enough! Matt worked on my computer in the back and did an awesome job and we talked about my computer build and he even used a high quality thermal compound on it that probably costs the same price as what I paid in full. All-In-All having worked at a computer shop for a couple years and being a MIS major and having built multiple of my own computers over the years I would 100% tell you face-to-face go to this store to get whatever you need done they will take care of you.
