They fit me in at the last minute for an oil change and are always pleasant. They will try to accommodate date your needs as best they can.

This is a place that I will always take my car. They go into detail about what you need to get fixed and what you can hold off on doing. I have used them for several years now and love their service.

Ive got nothing but RESPECT for Monkey Wrenches, after my 1st visit to this business. I recently purchased a used vehicle, and scheduled an appointment via online. The day before my appointment, I called in, and talked to Rima. She gave me the run down for there night drop off, and said she would be in contact in the morning with an estimate for the oil fluid services, I had requested. Sure enough, I received a call from Rima, going over the details of the 4 services I was requesting. 1st impression - courtesy, professional, & knowledgeable. She gave me an estimate, and I authorized the work to be done. During our conversation, it came up that this was a recently(20 days) used vehicle purchase. She mentioned that shed have the tech do a courtesy inspection, along with the services.Couple hours later, Rima called stating that the tech had found some issues(thats another story), she felt were important enough to call me, and provide me in detail what the tech had found, and in her opinion she felt it best that we hold off for now on the oil services that I had requested to focus on some of these issues that the tech had found. She even sent over the report, along with some included pictures detailing what the tech had found. I found this truly professional, as she could have had the tech continue on with the services I had requested, and just provided the inspection report with the bill at the end of the day. The services requested for now have been put on hold, while I contact the dealer from which I purchased the vehicle from. Wont have a problem bringing the 2 other vehicles I own to Monkey Wrenches for services. Thanks again Monkey Wrenches.

Started having an issue with my car a few weeks ago and made the appointment to come in. Had an estimate the same day it went in, and repairs were complete by the end of the next day. I did not feel like I got overcharged or pushed into unnecessary work/repairs, and everything was lined out and explained so I knew what was happening, what needed to be fixed, and why. Very satisfied with the whole process from beginning to end.

Took my 2001 Silverado in for rough idle and engine cutting out. I was told it needed a fuel pump. It was replaced and I was told it was done. Went to pick it up, but same problem. Owner was embarrassed, he personally rechecked the truck and found 5 injectors bad. In the end he replaced all 8 for free. Thats the best customer service Ive ever received!

Customer service, professionalism, cleanliness, and Covid-19 precautions were excellent. Highly recommend in this regard. I was in a very tight time crunch and Monkey Wrenches totally delivered on that front too. I was scheduled to trade the vehicle in on another vehicle in two days so they really saved my bacon.What I do not feel great about was the price. $450 to replace a thermostat on a Jeep Wrangler. I’m not a mechanic and stuff you read on the Internet can be based on fact and fiction, but it seems excessive to me. Perhaps I paid an “expedite” premium for the fast turnaround?

The staff was very courteous and professional in setting up the appointment, explaining the work needed and delivering my car back to me on time.

Overall I had a pleasant experience at Monkey Wrenches. They were efficient and trustworthy. I will be returning for future services.

I’ve brought my Infinit in to Monkey Wrenches a couple of times now. Both times I have been more than satisfied. Their thoroughness and attention to detail is difficult to parallel. I’ve gotten my vehicle back quicker than initially promised. Ted & Rima have treated me with professionalism and have kept me informed of my vehicle’s progress. They have also been willing to work with me on pricing. The only downside to Monkey Wrenches is the hours, 8-430 can sometimes be difficult. I will definitely continue taking my vehicles over to Ted and his crew.

Ive known Ted since the mid 2000s. His character is impeccable. He may not be the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for. His quality is unmatched.

While no one enjoys the hassle of getting a car repaired, this is one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had doing so. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I took my vehicle for an AC recharge, was quoted a price which at the end was less. They set up an appointment for the near future to make sure the system was working properly. Very helpful and professional and polite.

I went for alignment, they were professional.

Everybody was so helpful and kind, and called me to update on every step. They explained what the issues were and what they had to do to correct it, and the cost of course.They even did a couple of road tests to ensure that nothing else was wrong. They even were able to get everything ready for my smog test so I did not have to drive 300 miles to reset the computer.I was very happy to get my car back in two days oh yeah they let me know that my MDX has a recall on it for the air bags, so now I need to get that done, but I now know anyway. Took car in for oil change and tire rotation. During this service, motor mount was found to be broken. Had shop repair this as well.

The shop kept me informed and handled my auto repair quickly as promised. They did everything to cope with the covid virus perfectly, I didnt have any doubt that the quality of the work was top notch and priced fairly. I really enjoyed Rema in the office, she is knowledgable and super friendly.

This is the place to get your car or truck serviced. Initially I needed a new radiator and master clutch cylinder on an older Toyota PU. Further examination uncovered that the clutch was almost gone. Early diagnosis saved me a repeat trip and lots of wasted time. Their sharp eyes identified a few other things as well that were fixed. Ted was in constant communication and covered all issues plus good advice on pending items for keeping the truck running well.Transport back and forth to BART appreciated and timely. Shop and facilities look great Good pricing for parts and labor. Honest discussion of options on repairs. Just wished I lived closer! Ill be back.

I went to Monkey Wrenches to get a diagnosis on my air conditioner in my Tahoe. They charged me almost $200 dollars for this service. Their conclusion to this diagnosis was a $3600 complete overhaul of the system saying the compressor was locked up. Went to another shop for second opinion and come to find out it would only cost a little over $400 to fix a tensioner on my pully for my air conditioner belt. Saved a lot of money getting that second opinion! Will never go back to this shop again!

Second time with Monkey Wrenches and had another 100% experience. The estimates were detailed and accurate, and everything that was serviced is now in great working order. Even the shuttle guy is top notch. The only suggestion I have is to work on your online scheduling. Made an appointment online and was told it would be confirmed, but it was not. I took my BMW here after seeing good reviews to have a vacuum hose leak repaired and a possible transmission fluid leak repaired. I had already run a diagnostics test on the car and had a print out of the codes. They refused to accept the diagnostics check and wanted to run their own. The service advisor said they charge $169.99 to just run the diagnostics check. When I told him again that I already had that done and have a print out for him he refused to accept it and stated that they charge $169.99 for it. I told him I would take my car to a mechanic who will accept my diagnostics check and I took it to Bush Motor Works in Pittsburg. Sure enough the owner accepted the diagnostics check and did not charge me to do another one.A diagnostic check takes all of 5 minutes at the most and to charge $169.99 is pretty much a rip off. If a mechanic shop is willing to rip people off to run a five minute check imagine how much more they’re going to rip you off to do the repairs. I do not recommend this shop.
