Terrible customer service. Went all the way there- information provided on the phone and via email was not accurate. Waste of time. Have everything in writing for a deal if you are considering this dealership, also inspect the cars for damage prior to buying- would not recommend at all!

Very pleasant shopping experience as far as purchasing a vehicle from a dealership goes.I arrived early in the evening for a scheduled test drive on a Tucson I was interested in. Upon arrival I was promptly welcomed by David, one their salesmen. David was quick to find the exact unit I was interested in. We performed the usual test drive and then proceeded to the negotiating table. Of course, like every other dealarship, their first offer was on the high side, not even close to the the advertised web price. I had to ask for a list of applicable rebates and why the price was so far off from the advertisement. After a pretty considerable wait, David returned from the finance office with the requested info. They did lower the price a bit, but still a little higher than I wouldve preferred (cant blame them from making a few extra bucks, right?) It was a this point I presented a price/offer from another dealership to which they responded positively. After a few bouts of going back and forth on the Out The Door price, we aggreed on a final number. After this point, it was all businnes as usual... wait a bit, sit with the Finance/Insurance agent (Steve) and close the deal. I must say, it was somewhat a pleasant experience. No high presure tactics, nor unsavory surprises. For the most part all straight forward. The staff was very courteous and profesional (they even laughed at my mediocre jokes). The facility looked the part, clean and welcoming, and the selection of vehicles was very impressive. For me it was most certainly worth the drive from Tampa to Bradenton. If you are in the market for a new Hyundai I highly recommend Gettel Hyundai.Like any other big purchases, always do your research and be better equipped to navigate the turbulent waters of buying a new vehicle.

We were sold on a vehicle and made an appointment with the internet person. I believe it was Sarah. She gave us a young salesman who was constantly talking down to us even though we know our business. We would have purchased that day if we felt they were honest. When the salesman told us people were in bidding wars on the vehicles and were actually paying $5,000 over sticker price, we knew for certain he was completely dishonest! He was condescending and anything we said wasn’t a sales pitch; he argued and told us everything we said Wes wrong. We called Sarah on the way home and she said she had not spoken with him. Not a very good sales manager to let a sale walk off a lot and not find out why.

These folks are pleasant and professional. I bought my car at Cox, but get it serviced at Gettel. Cox left garbage in my car, (packaging from air filter, gloves, etc.) after servicing it. Gettel left my car sparkling clean w a free wash and vacuum after servicing my car. Cox left my car w bird dropping on my windshield, and wanted to charge extra to wash the car after servicing it. Such a huge difference between two dealerships!

You have to know who is your service advisor. Mike was good. Some others lie and there does not appear to be any accountability. Double check the inspection as it is rarely correct or, in some cases, done at all.

I was very happy with everyone I had contact with at Gettle Toyota. I especially appreciated working with my salesman., And Duke. He was thorough, good humored, and well versed in the electronics system and he was helpful and patient with me. I am the epitome of the grandpa who is always calling his children and grandchildren to fix his phone or computer.I would recommend this dealer to friends and family and suggest asking for Duke when they come in.

They cant do that. I dont know who these people are. They do, just give me a name so I dont have to wait. No. Why not just take care of me. No, they would not. I had to wait because I didnt pick a service tech. Then they always find something wrong with my car which is always NOT covered. I have stopped falling for their lies bad customer service

Went there door the Butler service that we paid for when we purchased the vehicle, also the plastic paint protection application started to come off, we brought it to there attention last time we were there (6 months ago) and they said they would change it on our next visit... Well today we brought it up and their answer was oh we dont offer that anymore wait you told us you would change it out this time. Bottom line is they lied again not the first time, so my recommendation is to go somewhere else to purchase a vehicle, bad customer service, great tap dancers, always have an excuse for not complying with what they promised

Just moved here and I was kind of apprehensive to find a good Toyota dealer/service close bye. I was pleasantly surprised about the service at Lakewood Gettel Toyota. Jaboc Burgh took care of my car needs, he was very helpful to answer any questions. Appointment was made easily, service time for my car was excellent too. I would recommend this place anytime.

I guess when you want to cancel some features on your on your car they will use their sales tactics of making you wait, so you will be frustrated and either leave or succumb to their needs gotta love sales tactics. And if you are not a customer well better bring air mattress so you take a nap while you wait maybe even order take out also because you gonna be waiting for a while. The difference between buying and canceling, if you buy they will help and acknowledge you quickly but if you are canceling well be prepared for a long wait. I just think if is buying or canceling you should get the same level of service but that’s how people wanting money only instead of more sales work, that is why they are always struggling at the end of the month. Almost an hour of waiting and no one check on me and my wife.

I purchased my second car here. They have a great service department here which I why I decided to purchase my second car here. Unfortunately the sales process the second time put me off a little bit because when the price was being negotiated they assumed i would be having a 3k down payment. It wasnt until I was signing the paper work I discovered this so I paid more than expected. They do have many great sales people here and they will work with the customer to get the sale. I would probably buy a third car here.

Clean showroom and friendly employees. Their sales tactics are old and outdated, though. In this day and age, car buying shouldnt take 5 hours, especially for customers who know the car they want and what they can afford. I would buy a car here again, but next time Ill do more prep work ahead of time to reduce the amount of time I spend there.

I loved Gettle for both sales and service. Was always top notch. Reason for 4 starts is that sales person promised to call me back with figures on a vehicle we were interested in that we road tested at the dealership. At this point in time he has not called back, even after I sent a reminder email. I will still stay with Gettel, but maybe a different sales person.

Took brand new Santa Fe Sport in because brakes were dragging. Car had 465 miles. I was told that routers had to be turned because of Transportation rust. I feel that everything should have been replaced with new. Im being penalized for faulty routers. I arrived at 8:30 a.m. And my car was done at 11:45 a.m. When I asked when I made the appointment if I could be dropped off at work they said no. New car sales agent Jared was excellent finance manager was excellent service department is not my first choice now.

The Hyundai dealership on SR64 in Bradenton is very nice. The dealership is big, luminous, clean, it has free WiFi, free coffee, water and snacks. The service advisors are courteous and the mechanics are overall competent. The only downside is the eye-watering $150 they charge for an hour of labor as of September 2019.

Granted I got a car I like but dealerships are a rip off. Gone are the days of haggling to get a better deal. Now the price is the price....dont like it..who cares there are 100 more people waiting to buy what you cant afford. Customer service no longer exisists nor does a manufacture build a vehicle that lasts after your warenty runs out.

I took my prius to because I got a message on the board about the cooling system wasnt working right. This people charge me $80 to FIX IT. The very next day the message appears again, I decided to go on the internet and start looking for solutions. Well, there is an air filter that needs to be clean every now and then. It is located under the seat of the passenger on the driver side. It only took me 5 min to do it myself. SAVE YOURSELF A BAD EXPERIENCE AND JUST DONT TRUST THIS PEOPLE.

Feel I must give credit to the maintenance dept. here, especially the young man Benjamin who served me. I went in on a busy Friday with a relatively minor (to them not me) tire issue. Benjamin couldnt have been more helpful. (This was a relief as Id already tried Tire Kingdom for help with this issue but got blown off, didnt want to mess with warranty paperwork apparently.) No problem for Benjamin, jumped right on the phone and started sorting it out. Good job for going above and beyond.

Drove to GETTELS to get a parts quote on my SCION..A very helpful gentleman with a decidedly British accent greeted me @ the parts counter..How can I be of service to U today sir he asked? I have him my detailed parts list to which he further queried, Do U have the cars VIN # AND production date?Why YES I do, I replied...This is CRITICAL information to have as the parts used on the cars assembly line are DETERMINED by this information!! The British gentleman patiently looked up my rather L-O-N-G list of parts and handed me the completed list..Ive taken the liberty of annotating which parts we have in stock from those parts that need to be order-ed for U sir he retorted in his native COCK-NEY accent..Totally refreshing experience!!It ALMOST made me forget why I stopped there in the first place?😁🤗

Update to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood post on 08/14/18: I was finally able to talk with the GM about the damage to my car that occurred at their dealership and was very disappointed. I was told that they could not find any video footage of the accident and that if I wanted to pay them to have the damage fixed, that they would be willing to make me a deal on the price? Also, the GM implied that I was lying about the damage having occurred on their lot and that I was a chronic complainer given previous posts about another company. So, the takeaway for me from this whole situation is RUN in the opposite direction of this dealership, even if I did want to “pay” them to fix the damage to my car, I wouldn’t trust them with my skateboard.Original Google Reviews post: I recently went to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood to inquire about buying a new 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT. I had set-up an appointment earlier in the day with their sales depart, and upon arriving to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood was greeted by one of their sales representatives. After answering a few basic questions about my desired car, the sales representative completed a visual inspection of my 2016 Toyota Corolla. The sales representative for Gettel then drove my car back to the service department for a full mechanical review. My car was determined to be a “clean” trade-in and I was given full book value for my car. After several hours with the sales department, we were unable to reach a satisfactory deal and I was given back the keys to my car. My car was parked outside one of the service bays, with the front end not visible to me as I approached the car from the rear. I drove off. Once home, I immediately noticed the front left bumper on my car had several deep scratches across it! The black plastic under my cars silver paint was visible and damaged. I immediately called the dealership and was told they would review the video surveillance system to determine what had happened? In addition, my sales representative indicated that he would talk to the GM and get back to me. Today is Tuesday and still I have not received a call back from the dealership? If this is the way NEW customers are treated at Gettel You NEED to skip this dealership when buying your next car! Now, I have to pay to get my car fixed...how is that right?

Have had TWO bad experiences with the Gettel Group in two different dealers. The first one, Gettel Toyota, I was sold a car that was NOT as described. After I purchased it and told them about it their answer was oh well. Made me negotiate 6 hours just to get the price I found out later they advertised on the internet... which means they overpriced it when they offered it to me at the dealership (I was there repairing another car, not looking to purchase). The car is still overpriced as I found out later, and resale value now leaves me with negative equity of about $3k.The second one, my wife needed a new car and we went to another of their dealerships (Gettel Hyundai) thinking wed be treated better. Long story short, the salesman there, an European man, simply told us it was not worth it to take our trade in and get us another car. He dismissed us and even made my wife get a headache. Told us he could probably trade our car for a same year, same model, same condition car and that was just not worth it. When asked about a promotion he said he would not apply it and then said ALL dealerships made promotions just to get people in the doors and sell them cars. We left and went to Sunset Kia in Bradenton FL, same day, found us a good deal on a car my wife loves.2 starts because the few times I serviced my OLD car there, they did it as expected even when the price was a bit high.Will never purchase from them again and will NOT recommend them as long as this remains an issue.

My car is currently in the service area. There is a problem with it that it will be covered by the warranty, so this is not the reason this review only reach 1 start.The problem sadly is the quality of professionals who work in the service area.Mike is the person who Im supposed to be dealing with. After our first meeting yesterday I asked the store to please get me another individual.They totally ignored my request and that was the end of it.My car needs a change of the transmission (manufacturing problem). It is required to have the car registration to be able to be covered by the warranty.Yesterday the registration was left in the car with the insurance card. Magically the registration disappeared.Mike called me this morning to let me know that they cant find the registration. So what are my options now...I asked. He said, No registration, no rental car. (Hyundai is covering it)I let him know that I needed solutions, not problems, so I offered him to let me go to the DMV in that right moment and he will have the registration tomorrow morning. More than that, I expressed to him, I was going there no matter what because I wanted to trade my car for a new one.He said he will not wait for me until the next day so he will cancel the rental in that moment.1 hour later, the Manager of the service area called me. Her name is Jill. She was arrogant, anger of power and she really had a one side conversation with her self as she didnt let me speak.I tried to let her know that I am a professional photographer and I have a wedding to photograph today. It is impossible for me to bring the registration today, however, I let her know I already got a new one and I have it with me.She laughed and said: I am so sorry but I am cancelling your rental this moment as Mike complains you were rude with him.Then, like singing, she said: Good Byyyyye...and hung up the phone.Now I have no idea where I am standing at, but for sure, I will not buy a new car there. There is many other Hyundai locations that will be happy to have my business.Customer service is the key of a successful businesses. I am so sad Gettel Hyundai doesnt realize this.

Let me start by saying they were great people AT FIRST! I bought a 2017 Ford Mustang Premium that had been certified. I asked about the previous owner, etc and was assured that the care was taken care of, etc. I bought the car and everything was great until I went to upgrade about a year later.I was told my car had been in an accident, WOW.. That wasnt expected. I pulled another carfax and what do you know? The carfax showed the vehicle had damage reported to carfax right BEFORE Gettel Lincoln sold the car to me. Meaning, they knew about the damage and were actually the ones who fixed it.Called my attorney and they instructed me to contact Gettel for resolution, Gettel offered an additional trade assistance of $1,000 for any of THEIR cars. I said no way and we are now pursuing legal action against Gettel.I found a reputable dealership, Walker Ford, who was able to get my mustang taken care of as far as trade in value.Be warned, do not this this company take advantage of you, they fix and flip so much the carfax and other reporting agencies do not even update their records in time!

They claim they will adjust thier website but I wasted 5 hours plus gas for me. They have a value your trade on thier website but do not honor it or anything close to it. If you want the service department to drive 40 MILES ON YOUR CAR that Only went there to have a trunk latch fixed, then Gettel Hyundai is your place. This WAS my go-to dealership, but now, no way. Roberto DID NOT READ the original invoice that was prepared and he had more excuses than I have ever seen. My car WAS NOT there when I arrived (he sent a text message to me and we drove around to try to find it with NO COMMUNICATING through the day after several attempts) but when I did get it, NO PAPERWORK (supposedly will be emailed to me) and my car was half done. Excuse after excuse after excuse. I tried to call corporate to complain, that was another laugh and a half. I love my Elantra and I would think that repeat customers should be treated better. Very disheartening.

Ugly customer services. I would rate half star or Zero star if Google have it. We have three vehicles (Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Avalanche and Mercedes E350) they are all about 10 years old and I want to trade in my Avalanche and E350 to get two new Camry. My son and I got there and started looking around. A few Toyota employees standing around or walk passed us but none of them welcome or even say hi to us seem like there was no us there. They can not do the basic things for customer services (smile or say hi) how can they do better thing (selling car). Or because were wearing shorts and T shirt so they did not welcome us? After 30 minutes, I feel like they dont need us, so we walked out.
