I’ve been taking my car and friends cars here for three years. This shop used to be the greatest, friendly, neighborhood place to get your car fixed. They made taking your car to “the mechanic” easy and as pleasant as possible. Now, they have Atilla The Hun at the front desk. She just wanted to get me out of there as quickly as she could. She seems to have no care or consideration for the customers. Just give me the information old man and get out of here - was the tone of her voice. I was given two choices, 1. Are you going to stay, or 2. are you going to leave it and pick it up later. No discussion about what to expect... just “what are you going to do.” Very harsh... without an explanation of what to expect and stifle any questions I might have, I’ll have to find a mechanic closer to home that is still friendly and fair... which may be a blessing.I’ll never take my cars to Empire again.

These guys are truly amazing!! They brought their tow truck to pick up my broken down car for free! They worked with my warranty company and got all the parts my car needed! Their prices are great!! Super helpful and informative!! Got my car taken care of in a timely manner!These guys deserve more than 5 stars!! I will be returning in the future for my auto repair needs!! Highly recommend!

I have come into this shop twice and both experiences have been great. The staff is courteous, the service fast, and the work fantastic. I truly feel like this company goes above and beyond and their rates are really good. I very often feel like mechanics are trying to pull one over on me but not with this company. Despite being in St. Pete, I am going to continue to use this company as they have earned my business and respect. Highly recommend.

I thought the belt in my engine needed to be replaced so I went here with high hopes given the online ratings. They looked at my car, my oil levels, my tires and even picked out the pebbles stuck in my tires. After determining that nothing needed fixing, he didnt charge me a penny. Beautiful experience. I will definitely come back here for any service.

On vacation in Sarasota area, 1,000 miles from home and had car trouble. Seemed like it could have been something fairly major and we were concerned some local shops would try to take advantage of our situation. Called 4 shops and Empire was the only one to answer. The phone conversation alone was 5 stars. We discussed basic vehicle information, possible causes and solutions. What we believed to most likely be a timing chain problem and a diagnosis we would have accepted could have been an easy opportunity for some mechanics with ill intentions to over-charge us for unnecessary work. The guys at Empire (especially the owner) was immediately confident that it could be that the wrong oil was used during a recent oil change. After briefly explaining our situation, they created a time for us to come in right away. We were relieved less than an hour later that indeed an oil change resolved the issue and we drove home 2 days later without any problems. Highly professional and excellent service. I would recommend Empire to anyone for any vehicle repair and maintenance.

I would recommend this service center to any and all. Their offerings of support and service was phenomena. My daughters car died across the street from their store. They came out, helped to move it out of the intersection, and serviced her car, making sure she was safe to get to where she needed to be. They followed up with her uncle (an auto mechanic himself), made sure everything was alright, and charged basically nothing for the service.

Best Mechanics In The AreaYou get your moneys worth from these guys. Ive had a lot of work done at Empire (A/C, Brakes, Oil Changes, Serpentine Belt Replacement, Used Car Inspections, Etc.) and refuse to use anyone else. The first time I used them was for brakes. The golden touch brake experts quoted me $1100. I was in and out of Empire Auto Repair at less than $400. On top of that, Ive never had to return anything that has been worked on. Quality mechanics at fair prices. Cant ask for much more than that

Was looking for a mechanic near downtown, saw the good reviews and called. They told me when to come in, got my oil changed in 10min flat. Couldnt be happier. They filled the tires with air, checked the check-engine light and gave me their opinion without being pushy or trying to upsell me. Staff was friendly and directed me quickly, no waiting around. Will definitely be coming back.

We were driving to Sarasota from Mass and we were having A/C issues, we saw the reviews on Yelp and they were very good so we gave them a call. They are closed on the weekends but he told me they would be there Saturday for a few hours and told us to come by in the morning, so we went there and they took care of our problem in less than a hour. We were very satisfied with them and I would recommend them to anyone, you wont be disappointed. Thank you guys.

A few months ago, I went to get my door handle replaced at Empire. They were competively priced and the customer service was great (especially Chris). We were on vacation in Sarasota and were unfortunate enough to get a nail in our tire. After calling several tire repair shops, all of which were too busy to see us, we called Empire Auto Repair. Chris was so helpful on the phone and said we could come right in. He got to our tire within 10 minutes of our arrival and repaired it in no time! It was a huge relief to get back on the road and lose very little of our vacation time! If we ever need future auto services while in Sarasota, we will be sure to go to Empire!

Very poor customer service. Prepare to wait 2 weeks for a repair and to have to call in about your vehicle after receiving no updates, no phone calls on it. I went for an alternator replacement, even brought and bought the new one before hand. It took so long that I just told the guy to leave the old one in there and paid 100 bucks for a battery charge and a fuse replacement (I didnt dispute it because I wanted my car) and took it to F & S, which is also on 12th St and had it done in a day.Avoid this place... who knows... maybe some customers take precedence over others because I went in there to ask about my car after he told me it was going to be ready that day (hadnt moved from the same spot in a week) and he gave me a dirty look while telling me he got distracted and was working on a carfax car. Im a pretty patient guy but I guess I wasnt the right type of customer. See the other reviews which contradict my experience (ironic because these are the same reviews that led me here in the first place). Better to take it to F & S than to risk it. Had me up and running in no time.

Very dependable and easy to work with. They have bailed me out of more than a few tough car situations when I was in a crunch. Empire Auto Repair has done everything: oil changes, new tires/rotations, new battery, a/c service, new brakes and even made suggestions to help prepare my car to be sold when I was ready to upgrade.

Took my vehicle to three different mechanics for an air conditioning problem. After spending hundreds of dollars it still wasnt fixed. Took it to Empire and one hour later and with minimal materials...fixed! Great folks and customer service. Cant recommend them enough! They will have all my business.

Absolutely stoked with this shop!!! I was welcomed with a smile and wonderful customer service. I had been battling with my alternator and battery for days... Finally I was fed up and took it in to Chris. He tested my fuses, which I had too but not well enough apperently, and found the culprit!!!he switched it out and everything clicked into place!!! I nearly hugged him lol... I asked what do I owe you and he said nothing but a thanks and your return business!!! So Im headed back in a few days to have them out a new CV Joint in that sounds like a 400 pound Samoan tap dancing under the hood lol... Ill go nowhere else while Im still within the State!!!!
