Good sandwiches, however they are not consistent with their meat servings. Some days it feels like Im eating at subway (more vegetables then meat) they need to take training tips from Livingstons picked barrel on how to stay consistent

Excellent as always. Pickle barrel has been the best sandwich shop for over the 40 years Ive eaten there. Billings and Bozeman up at the college. Keep it going and Ill always be a customer. The cheese steak has always been excellent. They are fresh more than that slimy subway.

My half sandwich was almost more than I could eat.... But it so so good I scarfed down every morsel

This food is fantastic; however, every time I eat here I end up feeling sick. I dont have a weak stomach, so Im not sure if it has to do with me or something else. Whole sandwiches for 2 people ran me about $30. I recommend getting the Blue Steak.

Got the Italian and it tasted like a bologna sandwich they also didn’t take off the things I asked. Bread was nice and soft and free pickle is good.

Got two sandwiches, one Italian, one pulled pork. My husband absolutely loved the Italian, while the pulled pork had so much sauce on the outside of the sandwich that it was one big lump of sog. Italian is a 5star. Pulled pork was a 1 star. Will give a 3 overall.

Great food...would have rated them higher if they actually were open their posted hours. Twice now we have attempted to get food there only to arrive in the parking lot to a sign that simply says closed for the day. Phone just has a fast busy. Too bad but we are done.

We love Pickle Barrel usually, however, tonight we ordered a mushroom steak with three times the cheese, and we paid for the extra cheese. However, when we got home to eat, there was almost no cheese. It was the dryest sandwich Ive ever gotten there! Really, almost no cheese! On my half, I had 4 bites with cheese, the rest was completely without! Very disappointing after spending over $20! We were there right before closing and they had some left over soup, which they gave us rather than throw it out, which was very nice. Thats why I gave them 2 stars instead of one.

The sammiches we had were very good as always. The service was great the young man that took our order was great. The reason for only 4 stars. While I was enjoying my meatball sandwich I looked up at the large ceiling fan, then the light fixtures. Nasty thick dust clumps just waiting to fall into my sammich. Please clean.

They have changed their bread and now are skimping on the meat. Sandwich was bland. I will not be going back

I was pretty surprised by the service,I received to day!. $2.00 for hard rice A rice crispy then when I wanted to return it the employee acted irritated. Definitely did not feel welcome to come again. I felt rushed to order.

Probably not the best first experience. Menu is straight forward, and simple to understand. Prices arent posted, so just go for it. I attempted to order the meatball sandwich, and ended up with a pulled pork BBQ sandwich. I didnt realize this till after I left and got to my appointment. Im not a huge BBQ sauce fan, but the pork was tender and juicy. Portions are huge, I could easily have shared my half Sammy. The loaded potato soup is classic and I enjoyed it. With saucy sandwiches the bread gets soupy fast. But this bread is better than a baguette you literally cant sink your teeth into. Staff was nice. I would say, I will return for the killer pickles and soup.

First time trying pickle barrel and I did not expect the sandwich to be that huge I couldn’t finish it all probably best sandwich I’ve had in awhile definitely gonna be ordering again only thing I didn’t care for was the soup I ordered the Buffalo chicken soup and the kens special sandwich I highly recommended if your wanted a delicious sandwich

Only need to order halves! The bread is great and they are very generous with the filling. Their half is about 8 inches long and so full of filling that I was stuffed before my sandwich was gone!My eight year old insisted I give this place a 5 star Google review as its the best sandwich place weve found in Billings since we moved to Montana!

Presentation is great. Lulls you in to a false sense that the food would be good. Smells good. Sandwiches are huge. There is no flavor at all, and the bread is very dry. Even when I stopped elsewhere and got extra mayo to add, it dried my mouth out. And for a place called pickle barrel? This is the pickle I got.....it was about the soze of a baby dill.

Very good sandwiches. My favorite is the bobcat. I wish I could stay outside without bees swarming me though. Overall I would recommend, one of my favorite sandwich shops.

The restaurant was very clean. You can watch your sandwich being made. The lettuce they use is fresh. The roast beef i had was amazing. Great place. Two people can share a 16 inch sandwich. ( the largest sandwich they make I think is 16 inch) .Unlike Subway you can spend the same amount of money, but you will be full. I tasted no filler in The pickel Barrell.

Pickle barrel is the best place to get a sandwich! They do not skimp on toppings and the sandwiches are huge and the bread is delicious! They did forget my pickle into my to go order but Im not even mad. The sandwich makes up for it. Still 5 stars!!

First time stopping in today, I ordered a Pepper steak half sandwich. I am glad I only got the half as it was really decent size with a lot of meat. It was quite busy and I didnt get my sandwich until I approached the counter after waiting a little over 30 minutes asking about my order, I work and have experience in the field so I wasnt going to be rude or upset about it. The young man at the counter was able to find my order and stated that he didnt get the ticket to attach to the bag so he was unsure if the order was completed, it appeared to have happened to a few other orders as well. As I said it was my first time in and the sandwich tasted great, I will be back and will likely add another review if all goes flawless. Other than that you guys were awesome and killing it during your lunch rush!

Great food and always fresh ingredients! The environment is casual but unable to provide accommodations for large groups. There is an outside eating area that can be used during good weather. The employees are always friendly and you can watch them make your sandwiches. I enjoy eating there and THE PICKLES ARE GREAT!! :-)

What a monster sandwich... steak and mushroom

As a regular pickle barrel visitor, Ive never had a disappointment. Recently had the opportunity to use them for catering and the ease they made it for us we cant thank them enough!

Super great sandwiches. Buffalo chicken soup was delicious. Better value of food for the price compared to many other sandwich places.

Sandwiches were so light, next to no filling in them for the price. We lived in Philly, these just are not cheese steaks. Someone needs to actually visit Philly and see what their product should look and taste like. Put some meat in there, chop it up better, melt the cheese through the meat. I really had high hopes for these. Its a shame.

Great food and an exciting college town feel, but not as good as the original. If you are like me and hope to have an experience like the original location in Bozeman then you will be disappointed. I still give it 4 stars for being good on its own.

Really big delicious sandwiches very tasty and had a chill atmosphere. Theres a really cool skiers theme in this place. Just like the name they have a barrel full of pickles free to eat.

The Bobcat sandwich tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly. Its a great, clean place where you can sit down and relax for a meal, but if youre in a hurry you can grab something to go.

So I have been coming to Pickle Barrel at least once a week if not twice for awhile now. I always order a grilled cheese and chips. Today I walk in and order my normal and Im told they dont make grilled cheeses anymore. I told the guy at the front that I have been ordering them for months now. He tells me they took away our secret menu. Pickle Barrel has a cheese sandwich but cant make a grilled cheese.

Was really looking forward to my sandwich today... maybe next time. What happened to the old bread? This new bread you have is dry and doesnt add to the sandwich at all. The person making my sandwich had the personality of an eraser. The appearance of my sandwich once I unwrapped it made me wish Jersey Mikes wasnt as busy at it was today. Not at all impressed today...

Stopped in for a quick bite, and was pleasantly surprised. Small out of the way sandwich shop. I had Steak and Mushroom, and my wife had the Curry Chicken Salad. Both were excellent choices. I did wish for fries. It would be a menu addition I would enjoy! And dont forget......free pickles!!

Overall, I can see why this is a locals favorite. The ingredients were fresh, as well as the breads. And a Friendly staff. For the price of you get a lot of sandwich! Other places in town would of charged extra for the amount of meats given.Unfortunately, they made my sandwich incorrect, not a great first time mistake to be given, however they quickly and politely remade it, no questions.I personally would appreciate a little larger water glass, but not a detriment to trying the place again. Lots of food, cool lobby in a hot summer day, I wouldnt turn down going again.
