Not much in the store at all, lots of almost empty shelves. Store was not busy and did not look very appealing.

Standard JCPennys. Clean, well stocked. Friendly staff but under staffed like everywhere else these days.

This place use to be great but now it is kind of sad. The house wares has hardly any kitchen appliances some shelves are hardly stocked up. And if you ever look at the floor they so dirty! The carped is caked with dirt and right under some table displays have never been cleaned. You can clearly see huge dust bunnies under everything.

The female cashier actually charged me twice for an active top I purchased. I wonder if she knew she had done it because I mentioned to her how funny it was that it came out to 28 something as of 109 she said it would cost before I decided if to buy. Myself verbally assuming to her, wow thats quite a bit taxes, forgetting their were no taxes in Montana since I was only visiting. Why she said nothing at that moment; as if she knew she was gonna pocket the extra 22 dollars at the end of her shift?

Store looked good. Good inventory. Good variety. Short of staff but that is a common problem.

Went in to get a mans suit. The young man working in the mens department was extremely helpful and polite. The cashier helped us find the coupon we wanted to use.

Good deal on Griz and Bobcat apparel but somewhat limited. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good buys in the clearance area though it is marked in crime tape colors.

Their jewelry department is spot on in customer service. The staff are well educated on all types of jewelry and their care. I bought a beautiful watch ⌚and I am very happy with the price and the service.

Great place to shop! Usually helpful staff. However, since the pandemic they need to step up their customer service. I checked out and walked to the closes exit to get to my vehicle to find the door closed off. When customers are checking out, be mindful that they are probably looking for the exit. Communicate to your customers. :) I love shopping here ❤

Only complaint is only one door is open, really seems silly when everyone is required to wear a mask and there definitely isnt a crowd shopping. I knew what I wanted but had to walk through the whole store to get to the desired location.

The dressing room attendants was pretty rude to my wife .....be sure you only have 8 items or your going to get chewed out

The place was empty! Went for a pair or shoes and the there was nothing and the customer service seems like theyre really afriad to answer a question.

I will never shop here again. No one knows anything and the customer service is way in the back even though a huge sign is above a register saying customer service. Waited in line for 10 min to be told they couldnt help me. All for a clerk screwup

My husband and son only ever buy their pants here. We dont shop for anything else here because personally do not care for the selection or styles offered. Usually pretty clean and easy to get around. Carts are easy to find.

You need more staff and better trained staff especially in mens formal wear.

I needed a decent sports coat and I didnt want to spend hundreds of dollars to get something Im only going to wear a few times a year if that. I was able to find one with the help of some knowledgeable staff and the price was pretty good. They have a little bit of everything and it isnt too pricey. I tend to shop here when they have sales cause I know Im getting a good deal. The only down side is they like to push their credit card on you a bit strongly. I get it, its profit for them, but no means no.

My husband and I were in the Billings, MT store on Monday to return and reorder a different size of clothing. We went to the returns counter. There was a long line, but there were 3 cashiers all handling the returns efficiently. We went to a young man and he gave us excellent, professional service and handled our return/exchange in a timely manner with superior customer service. While shopping in another department we received the same superior customer service from another young lady in the Home Department. Thank you for a wonderful shopping experience during this busy Christmas season. It is evident your leadership/manager holds customer service as a top priority as evidenced through the employees courteous and helpful attitudes.Thank you and may you and your associates have a blessed Christmas.

This is the first time I have been to JC Pennys in a long while. I was trying to find a particular shoe and I asked for some help from a male sale associate. He was putout by helping me and let it be known. He was rude to the point I will not return. On the good side the two women that checked me out were absolutely wonderful. It is amazing how one person can ruin a trip to your store to the point of not returning. He probably should go for additional training.

Surprised to see so many sales! Associates were very willing to help you rather then give you the blank faced I dont know.. Clean store with surprising values.

I had a return that was a gift. Really got the run around and a bad attitude from a store manager. An employee handled things with a smile and a gracious attitude.. wish I had gotten his name.

Asked for help, two ladies in the womans department pointed didnt ask if they could help me. And went back to talking to each other. If I would have gotten some help instead of just pointing I would have purchased something. Instead went to Dillards and got great service and good sales.

Awesome customer service! She gets 5 stars! Wish they had better children selection, from infant to preteen. That gets 3 stars, equalling to 4.

This store has plenty of different items. A good place to buy kids clothes. There is always some type of sale going on, so you usually can find some pretty good deals.

Got my hair done at salon yesterday. I asked for Ananda again when I made my appointment. Last time was a wonderful experience. This time was even better! Did exactly like I wanted with my dimensional color and cut. She gives knowledgeable advice. Knows whats she is doing. She is a professional but also such a kind, personable woman. I enjoy talking to her. Believe me, I will see her again in 3 months. After that I went to purchase other items and was checked out by Liesa in another department. Also exceptional service. She was so kind and friendly. Penneys has two exceptional employees. I am glad to be a customer!

Loved everything. Prices and the variety of school clothes was awesome. I especially like how well stocked and nice looking the clothes for husky boys fit.

I came in late with my 2 young children and even though they were closing in 20 min everyone was kind and the woman who rang up my things helped me carry my things and walked my daughter to our car I was super impressed unlike the time before when I was being watched and followed it was uncomfortable. I was shopping for my oldest school clothes. They are watching the wrong people every time Ive gone in I have spent over 200 so if they have a theft problem its because they are paying attention to the wrong people.

Its a love hate relationship.

So I tried to return a pair of jeans that my mother gave me. They didnt fit and all the tags were still on. The lady cashier was very rude. She asked me to show a receipt and I explained that my mother got them and didnt have one. Instantly she treated me like I stole them. She said thats not a JCPenney bag that u brought the jeans in, how do I know u purchased them... It was awful... And embarrassing.. all the customers were standing behind me and clearly heard her... I wont go back to this location.
