The new owners are GREAT!They have really stocked this place with pretty much everything you need from a small neighborhood market. I am always happy to find what I need here.The small fruit and vegetable section is always fresh, and they carry my favorite cheeses and dairy products and I like supporting my local market.

Great little neighborhood market. Well stocked with necessities and little luxuries: groceries, liquor, health and household. Excellent Covid-19 awareness, sanitation & distancing. Grateful they are there for us!

Store cashier profiled me. Went in to buy water and cigarettes, owner accused me of using a fake ID. I showed him my license, a picture of my passport, and even a tax form I had on me confirming who I was and they still told me to leave. They serve alcohol to college aged white kids all day with no problem but the moment I show up before work its all of a sudden a problem. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to cvs where they actually treat people of color with dignity and respect.

Very nice and friendly staff but things are overpriced, they charge for using a debit card (7-11 a couple blocks away does not), and never buy ice cream here - every time its been melted and refrozen...full of ice crystals.

If you live east of College and are close to campus, chances are the most convenient place to do some quick grocery shopping will be at the Derby Food Center. They have most of your essentials, but the main downside is that some items are pretty expensive.They also have a wide selection of alcohol as well, but again, they mark up the prices a little. For the factor of convenience, I would say some of the alcohol is worth it. However, since CVS opened a few blocks down on Telegraph and Derby, it might be a smart idea to go a few extra blocks if you want to pick up alochol or groceries there for cheaper.But like most college students, we walk most everywhere, so those four extra blocks to 7-11 or CVS seem like forever, and a few extra bucks spent here is probably worth saving those 15 minutes. Also, if youre looking for quarters for laundry, they have a change machine in here as well that anyone can use. Just bring cash.
