This is the best auto shop around. The mechanics are very nice, honest, and down to earth. They fixed and tuned up my 2007 Prius for half the price as some other garages in the area.They were very honest about what needed to be be done, and which parts were still in good shape. They gave me honest feedback on other parts of the car and when I should get them replaced/worked on.I didnt feel like they upsold me on anything, in fact, the opposite. This garage performs service at an excellent value and I will be taking my car back to them when I need more maintenance work done.

Ive been a regular customer at Campus Auto Care for over twenty years and my dad was a regular before that. John and his team perform comprehensive diagnostics and detail exactly what needs to be done and why. They perform superb repairs, never overcharge, and will direct you only to the best if a specific job cant be done at their shop, (in my case this year, a new transmission for my 1990 van.)I recommend Campus Auto Care without hesitation or reservation. Big fan of Campus Auto. When you move somewhere new, it can be REALLY hard and stressful to find an auto repair shop that you trust to do good work and not to rip you off. Campus Auto is that place. They do the work quickly, and have never tried to push extra repairs on me--in fact, quite the opposite! They let me know what the issue is, how important it is to fix now (for example I needed new brake pads on the front, but the rear ones could wait another 6 months), and take the time to really explain the issue (which I really appreciate, as a young woman this is NOT always the case). And on top of that, their prices are very fair! I did a lot of research when first looking for an auto repair shop, and Campus Auto has earned my business and loyalty.

These are not just competent professional mechanics; this crew functions like a seamless team of highly skilled surgeons--inspecting, interrogating, identifying, and most important, resolving the problems that brought you to bring you car in, in the first place. I have been going to John for over 40 years, and trust him and his team completely.

I get as much of my car’s work and maintenance done here as possible. They’re super honest guys. They will do what they told you they will and they answer the phone when I have called to check. Their rates are quite fair.

This is one of my go to places! Its close to home and the mechanics are really helpful. They walked me through the work they did on my car and communicated with me throughout the entire process. I hadnt driven my car for 6+ months and knew I would need some work done--they even let me borrow a portable battery to jump my car to bring it over!I had to get more work done on my car than I was expecting but these guys were great! They provided same day service while I could run errands.

Great place and great location. As well as being polite, the guys at this shop have been working here between 20 and 30 years which is a good sign for me. Dropped my Jeep off for a smog and will be trying them out next time I need a mechanic. Thank you gentleman.

I love this place, the mechanics are the nicest and super competent. They never gouge me, they always make it easy to understand what repairs or maintenance is needed and when. Service is done well and usually within a day. Hours are a bit inconvenient, but they are worth a little hassle. I only visit dealerships for warranty or recall work, but I always think of campus auto when Im there.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!The Friday of Labor Day weekend I was planning on going out of town right after work that weekend and first thing in the morning my oil light went on. I’m neurotic about that stuff so naturally I was stressed because I wanted to get it changed before my long drive. I called campus auto and the person I spoke to told me I could drop it off and it’d be done within an hour or so. They saved me! I also work around the corner so it was really nice. AND it was cheaper than my normal oil change! Will definitely be back

Quick and pleasant staff,they seem direct and honest,my Berkeley car shop.Ive taken my car here a number of times and theyve always been very quick with jobs and have never tried to add unnecessary extras. I felt like they were being honest with me and cared about my return business. I recently had a head light replaced here and it got incredibly dim within a month. I took it back and they quickly found it was a connection problem, but replaced the bulb anyway just in case (no cost to me). Will continue taking my Ford Taurus here.

I never write reviews but this car repair service is the best I have ever encountered. John is very knowledgeable, dependable, HONEST, and investigates things very thoroughly. My van kept needing jumps and I was told it was because I wasnt driving it enough by all of the towing companies. I had a new battery installed and it kept happening. John investigated it over a week and determined it was a bad battery so I was able to have a new one free from the towing company that had provided it. The same thing happened yet again and John also did a through investigation. Hes also been very good and honest about other problems I have had with the car. Hes very honest and knows his business.

I thought I already reviewed this place. Honest people who will not rip you off, although some jobs may take longer than other places.
