What a great place! Everybody was very helpful and it was a great experience as I was a beginner in fly fishing. Unfortunately, this location has closed and I went to the store again (Google maps said it was open) and they were moving. I called them and they said their only location was in Seattle.

Orvis is great, but Google still thinks there is a store in Bellevue, WA. The Bellevue store is closed (and is now a fitness center)!It appears that the only store left in WA is the Seattle store. Thats really disappointing. Seattle traffic and parking is always bad and with the recent civil unrest I avoid going to Seattle at all cost. I really hope Orvis gets wise and moves their store to the suburbs.Id like to rate Orvis 5 stars, but for the reasons stated I feel that a 1 star rating is appropriate.

Great store in Bellevue - but now closed. Been there for a very long time and sort of a fly fishing mecca in our area. So - Seattle store on Lenora is the next best thing. Fellow there said theyre planning on opening another Orvis store on the eastside sometime in the future - so I put-in a good word for Redmond. ;-) Maybe, the old REI store there in Town Center? Thats my vote - but Im only voting.

Bought my waders here, It was well worth the drive even if it was two hours great customer service very knowledgeable staff matter of fact the guy had helping me I later found in my fishing Puget Sound for Searun cutthroat book so like I said very knowledgeable. Advice is top notch the quality of the waders is amazing I will be back whenever this pair finally wears out.

I’m new to the sport and had a ton of questions. Bryce was incredibly patient and super knowledgeable about every topic we touched on. You really can’t ask for a better experience.

Orvis in Bellevue is not only nice to visit but Brian, Michael and Keaton were so helpful and instructive I will enjoy returning next time and will bring more family and friends to watch and possibly participate in their events.

Major props to Bellevue Orvis! Specifically to the gentleman I was helped by- Reed. I walked in 5 min before closing and like a jerk, named a River I was headed to, asked for a tippet and for him to tie it all up for me.Not only did he knock it out for me in 4 min, he only charged $10 total, and carried on a great convo the whole time, having fished the two areas I lived in previously. What a guy. Thanks!!

I go here for fly fishing gear at times! I Orvis clothing and hard goods for fishing are great quality, and sometimes look better than the competitors. I primarily fill up on flies here though if I’m in need of something really quick, as it’s not the cheapest compared to other local fly shops.

Love, love, LOVE the clothing. The sales people are also knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I dont know if the sales team work on commission or not, but it doesnt have that predatory feel, all the sales staff are equally helpful and willing and able to answer questions. The one downside is that the price point is fairly high, but the clothes are comfortable, stylish, and heavy duty.

Unbelievably helpful staff. Took a good hour to find the right waders for my fiancee, trying on 4 or 5 pairs, yet the crew had nothing but patience. Great prices too.

After six months of moderate/heavy recreational use my waders developed a leak along the seam, the staff got me swapped out with a new pair and I was on my way in under 15 minutes. Good to see a company that stands behind their products.

Orvis is great. I just go to visit the fly shop. Such nice understated people, its something not available in other places.

Nice store with friendly staff. They dont rush you in and out, and when we were there there seemed to be some regular customers that knew the staff. Free parking around back.

Orvis gets a bad rap for being expensive, which, in some ways is true. But James and Peter helped me get a Clearwater rod and Battenkill reel for under $400. Every time I go into the store I have a great time chatting with the staff. They are always helpful in getting me what I need, even if it isn’t there. Flies are reasonable and their tying stuff is a bit on the pricey side but the quality is high. Great store, lots of parking, easy to get to.

I used to go to the Orvis store at Bridgeport in Tigard when I lived in Oregon, and it was always a great experience. I recently moved to Washington and decided to go to the Bellevue store for the first time today. I was incredibly disappointed. Not the same experience at all and not what I expect from Orvis. I felt like I was annoying the staff member the entire time. I was the only one in the store, and he didnt even acknowledge that I walked in and just sort of stood there doing whatever he was doing. It felt kind of awkward. Basically I couldnt find the barbless nymph hooks that I was looking for on the wall. So, I asked him about them and he informed me that Orvis didnt sell that kind of hook. But Ive purchased those hooks in the past from Orvis stores, and given that I already felt like an annoyance, I didnt want to press the issue further. It was basically easier for me to move on and find them elsewhere, which I did. The experience was a pretty dramatic let down after developing a relationship with Orvis in Tigard and their staff where I could count on not only civilty and professionalism, but also knowledge and exchange of experiences and recommendations. I have always loved Orvis products and respect what they do as a company, but I am not likely to visit the shop in Bellevue again. Driving loyal customers to online sales or other retailers really isnt the best strategy.

Some great gear and clothing here. The store is a bit small, so of you arentwithin theor nomal size range they will take your order and have it sent feom their warehous. Shipping can be slow.

Simms has better products at the same or better prices. Simms also has the best warranty in the biz. Best of all Simms has and always will be made in Bozeman, MT in the USA. Orvis has sold out and outsources to China.

Over priced, they only give you back 50% of what you payed on returns. Something about restocking fee. JUNK. Avoid.
