My long time mechanic used to be in Fairview Heights. But that auto service business recently changed ownership and the their service is no longer what it once was. In search of a new auto mechanic, I chose J & R. Fred and Sandy were great to work with and got my truck fixed very quickly and at a very reasonable price. More importantly, Fred took the time to explain the problem in layman’s terms. My overall impression is that this is a very honest and trustworthy business. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. I look forward to doing business with J & R again. Thank you Fred and Sandy!

Long story short, I had an issue with my car being towed to their shop. They were extremely helpful and patient with my situation, and helped me with my car. I am grateful, and will be referring them to others. The lady in the office, and gentleman who helped me today were awesome!

Just had 3 Serpentine Belts replaced on my 2011 Kia Soul. Quick service. Reasonable rates for repair. Everyone nice. Clean waiting room. Customer Service Representative explained my bill and warranty etc so I left with no questions or concerns. My new go to for mechanical repairs on my car! Thanks!

Over priced and short tempered. I had a Chevy Impala that needed a/c work. I had the dash pulled apart and parts avalible. I was charged labor for work i performed and was told for $450 the dash would be put back in with an existing clicking from the fresh air blend door. Why on earth would I pay for work i did and not have the clicking fixed? I had two vehicles scheduled, needless to say I cancled the second one. Im all for fair labor cost; however this placed totally ripped me off. I had to argue over recieving the diagnosis on what the vehicle needed. The machanic innitally only wanted to list what he did; but my argument was, if im paying $190 for a diagnosis why wouldnt I recieve from him the problen needing fixed? Be careful utilizing this place.
