Amazing experience. Wonderful food, unique tasty drinks, and refined but fun pop culture museum-worthy decor.A couple drinks and their largest charcuterie board was more than enough to feed three people as much as an entire meal and surprisingly well priced for the quality and kind service. We are already making plans to come back soon.Highly recommend to think of reserving well in advance as they are quite popular but we were still able to get reservations on a Saturday evening a week in advance.

My mother and I have been to high tea at every city we visit in the U.S. as well as The Empress in Victoria, BC & Harrods in London. The Harry Potter Tea at Clockwork Rose Tea Emporium was, by far, the most authentic themed tea experience. The decor was so detailed & I felt immersed in Hogwarts from the moment I stepped through the Platform 9 3/4 entrance.Maggie & Harold closed for two weeks to transform their steampunk tea emporium to a magical, mini Hogwarts. The attention to detail was phenomenal. From the clever menu to the photo props & opportunities - fabulous!!!I wont spoil it for anyone, but a few magical surprises blew us away!

This place is amazing! They had one of the most whimsical and adorable tea rooms ever. The owner was very personable and lovely and everyone was very nice and answered our questions about the tea and the food which was also delightful. I would say book in advance if you want to plan a little something because the place was pretty popular even with COVID-19. Will definitely love to go again ❤️

I came here for the Harry potter event tea and it was lovely. The owner was so accommodating when booking reservations. I quickly booked for 1 couple but then I figured I couldnt have all the fun to myself so I invited more. The reservation system was finicky and the owner was able to make sure we got seated at the same reservation. They are also able to accommodate any dietary request such as dairy free, gluten free etc at a small charge. The tea event was great and the price included one adult beverage. There was a magician, tea reading and of course house competition. Ravenclaw won this year!Tea was great. I chose the Bertie Botts Every Flovor (jelly beans) Tea from the menu. I got a green tea coconut blend and I hope they can recreate it because I still think about that delicious taste and dont understand why I just didnt order the tea leaves to-go for an excuisuite tea at home. Ill be sure to grab some loose leaf tea to-go at the next event for sure.

Out of all the tea rooms in the area (Hillsboro, Beaverton, PDX) this place had the best reviews. Service was very attentive, food was great, tea was excellent. Will go again for sure. Well worth the money! We made sure to arrive on time and confirm the appointment ahead of time by text through their confirmation service.Parking in the area is a bit difficult to navigate, but there were spots about a block away.

What an incredible experience! We came here yesterday for afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The owner and the servers were beyond friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is so fun, quirky, and cute. The decor is awesome. Even the bathroom decor is cool! They have a super cute gift store at the front where they sell fun gifts and the teas they serve. I bought their hot chocolate from here. We will definitely be back! Everything was very thoughtfully put together. The food was DELICIOUS!!! My husband got the regular menu and I emailed them 3 days in advance (this is required) and asked for a pescatarian menu. Everything was delicious and so well-made. Everything but the macarons are made in-house and the macarons are imported from France. I had the herbal peach tea and my husband had the herbal Paris tea and we loved them. As part of my vegetarian menu they had a vegetable pot pie and mushroom pasty which were out of this world! The overall presentation of the food was awesome. I highly recommend coming here! Please note the following:1. This is a no-fragrance restaurant due to one of the owner’s severe allergies2. You have to book this in advance online. If you have a particular date in mind, be sure to book it a few weeks in advance to make sure you secure the date. Dates seem to fill up quickly with reservations here.3. If you need a vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc. menu, be sure to email 3 days in advance at the latest. They’re very happy to accommodate your dietary needs.4. Street parking is limited, so we parked at Giovanni Restaurant’s parking lot across the street, which Clockwork said we could do.

This is everything I have ever hoped for from a tea experience. I can admit that Im a nerd with no hesitation, so this fed my soul. However, the food was exquisite, the tea sets gorgeous, the staff friendly, the owner fantastic, and while there are beautiful touches of nerdiness and steampunkery, it doesnt lose the classic feel of high tea either. They nailed combination of fancy and comfortable right on the head. I am absolutely looking forward to going back at the earliest possible convenience!

Afternoon tea service isn’t just for red hat wearing grandmas or little girls, it’s something everyone should experience at least once when done right, and ClockWorks Rose is that place!I’ve had many an afternoon tea at some of the more “snooty” traditional joints, and while that’s fun, ClockWorks makes it better. Alistair the “tea sommelier” knew exactly how to guide our two friends who are tea noobs, and each tea was perfect for each taste. The tea tower was on par with the quality you expect from a high end tea house. The scones were light but solid, each tier played on the next, and they navigated our table full of food allergies brilliantly. The added bonus of being served by the owner herself and discussing the food was delightful! The whimsical nature of the decor, staff, and themes brought out the kids in all of us, and we felt transported into another world for our short time of tea. Our only regret is we don’t live in Portland, so we can’t just pop in as much as we’d love to!Take a trip into imagination and fun while experiencing what afternoon tea is all about, and do it at Clockworks. You’ll be spoiled forever!

One of my favorite tools for self-care is enjoying high tea with a friend. So I am thrilled to have discovered this place. The entrance opens to a retail area that was a visual playground of tea related products. So much fun things to look at and there was a gorgeous chocolate case filled with beautiful artisan chocolates of various colors and flavors. We were seated by the window where there is a long plush and comfortable banquet with tables along one wall and my attention would go back and forth between our tea and the decor as there was plenty of fun whimsical touches from the artwork to the China to the chandeliers made of tea cups, so cute. Both servers attending to us were friendly and knowledgeable about the tea selection and were generous with their time and guidance as we made our tea selections.I selected their house blend and a chai which were so delicious. The tiered plates containing both savory and sweet offerings were filled with typical high tea menu. For my taste the standout in this service were the bignet which was so soft and flacorful, the sheppards pie with each layered component seasoned perfectly into a delicious contrast of creamy texture of mashed potatoes with the seasoned beef balanced with the sharpness of the cheese on top. All the sandwiches were delicious and tasted fresh (who wants a stale sandwich right?). Though these were my favorites everything else was also delicious and met my expectations in quality and flavor.Im grateful that I was able to give myself this treat during the challenges with this pandemic. The tables were spaced out appropriately and everyone entered with masks which added to my sense of safety and assurance that people are taking this risk seriously and being diligent while taking on the risk of leaving the house.Upon leaving, I made my purchases in the retail section where I noticed that they also do themed teas like a Harry Potter tea. So cute and creative. I look forward to many more afternoon tea services at this fine establishment. Two hour sitting sounds reasonable but I could have stayed another hour as it sped by so quickly.

Im glad for the sake of small businesses that this place is booked through 2019. They have a small store in the front, which offers limited tea (you cant order any tea from the counter) and also unclear instructions about how to partake in tea time in the other areas of the tea house. The staff reflects exactly what I expected in this sort of environment- snotty and unwelcoming. Upon review and research they have a strict fragrance ban which reads ALL TYPES OF FRAGRANCES, THESE CAN BE FOUND IN PERFUMES, FABRIC SOFTENERS, AND LOTIONS AND SKIN CARE PRODUCTS. So basically if youre clean, youre not welcome here thus continuing the elite secret club vibe but I guess more of a smelly but well dressed vibe. Also, just as a support of my point of their poor customer service, the website also says- Our phone has been ringing non stop, which has made it impossible to answer the phone. Also, as another small point to be made, they call themselves a tea “emporium” which means a “large retail store selling a wide variety of goods.” Yet their store area can only fit maybe...5 people? Bit of a misleading name...A bunch of very positive reviews must not be wrong, but this place really rubbed me the wrong way. If youre granted access into this elites club, feel free to send me a message and tell me how the tea was.

I loved it. What a fun experience. Im giving a 4 star rating because of a couple of things.1-too much pastry in the mini pastries. It overpowered the taste of the filling and made me a little sad because all I could taste was pastry crust.2- A bit too expensive for the amount of food.I think maybe having a full size scone and one mini scone per patron would be better, due to it being 34 dollars per person, and the portions were so small. We ended up getting lunch right afterwards.Other than those things, I absolutely loved it. I loved the owners who were personable and friendly, I loved the decor and I loved the little shop in the front. I would go back, but probably for tea and a scone only.
