Had a bad charger or bad cart. Really could not tell which. Rolled up without an appointment and they immediately took me in and diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. They could have easily up-charged me, but did not. Even showed me the price in the book. Took less than an hour to diagnose and fix, and only charged 117$. If I bought the charging board online, I would have paid 123$, and still would need to install it. Amazing crew.

If I could give this business 10 stars I would! First of all I should have written this review a year ago when they did exceptional work on two of our carts that both had several complex issues. They came to our home- got the carts- fixed them and returned them- several times to get the carts back in tip too shape! The fixes were extremely quick and incredible prices especially given that fixing these carts is so complex and tedious! Now as if that wasn’t all good enough there is MORE!!!!!!Saxby Chaplin (owner himself) saw us stranded in the middle the middle of the road on fripp in our golf cart - stopped his busy day- to jump out in the middle of the road to assist us with a very serious golf cart brakes seizing incident. Not only did he help rescue us out of the middle of the road he then came back an hour later with a truck and took our golf cart to be fixed! We are simply blown away by Mr Chaplin’s kindness today and wouldn’t ever dream of using any other business for any of our golf cart needs!!!!!!!!! This entire business and all of its employees should be recognized for how phenomenal they really are!!!

We bought an icon golf cart from sea island carts in June of ‘19, and highly recommend them. The whole experience was wonderful and the owners and employees there are exceptional people.

Couldnt be happier with the service from Sea Island Carts. We tried to save money by buying a golf cart from a private seller and it got the best of us. Sea Island picked up the POS cart and fixed it all up for us so it runs correctly and looks amazing! They had to change out the controller which took forever. They let us use a loaner due to the amount of time because the cart was a rare model. Were very happy with the level of service and reasonable cost!

We had the opportunity to go to Fripp last minute so we had no reservation for a golf cart in place. After calling several cart rental places and coming up empty handed, I stopped in to see Annette as a long shot to let her know that my 6 yr old special needs granddaughter was coming and that a cart to ride in would most likely be the highlight of her beach trip. Annette immediately went out to speak with her crew and came back to tell me that while they had no carts available, they would be repairing a cart and have it for me the next day when Emma was to arrive!! Whaaaat? Who does stuff like this anymore?? I was of course thrilled after getting no...no....no... from countless dealers. We were even contemplating taking her golfing with no clubs to give her the cart ride experience. The next day came and the golf cart was delivered running perfectly and exactly when and where she said it would be. Emma has a blast riding around the island in the open air and it truly made our beach trip extra special to see her so happy!! Thank you Annette and Ally for going the extra mile !! You guys are the best. As far as I am concerned, when visiting Fripp or any close proximity, there is no other place to rent a golf cart !!!! ❤️

I called Sea Island carts at 12:21 on a Saturday to see if they could help me with a flat. Had a brand new tire installed by 12:45. Fortunately the driver was in the area, but I was completely blown away by the fast and superb service. Thank you!!

I arranged to have a six seater golf cart 5 months prior to my “Girls Weekend” with another golf cart company that is on Fripp Island. I bought 2 carts from this other company, batteries, etc. So, I’ve spent a lot of money with them. They were supposed to deliver a golf cart last Thanksgiving, but said they forgot. This time, that company said they had my rental down for different dates, even though I had written proof of the original agreement. So I called Sea Island. Wow, what can I say! Last minute, they salvaged my girls weekend and delivered the cart within a couple of hours! It was clean, the delivery person went over the basics and said “they appreciated my business.” The cart was in great shape and a pretty blue. It also went a little faster than the typical rental cart. Thanks Ally and all the staff! You will get all my business. Avoid Carolina Custom Carts. All you will hear are excuses.

I had some maintenance work done on my Yamaha golf cart by Sea Island Carts. The electric golf cart just mysteriously stopped moving one day with no warning. It is an older cart, but is in good shape. The cart was picked up within hours after an initial diagnosis did not identify the problem. It was discovered that the 36 volt brush was worn down and no longer making contact, thus there was no transfer of DC power to run the cart. The cart was returned a few days later running perfectly!Ive seen a significant speed increase, and have been very happy with the maintenance results. The owner delivered the cart personally and explained in detail what was done to complete the repairs. I will be using Sea Island Carts for all my future repairs, and when I eventually buy a new cart they will get a visit. Thank you Sea Island Carts!
