Its been years since Ive been to this bookstore. Before I bought a kindle it was hardbacks and paperbacks. Service was always good. My sister wanted to get me a book from this store. She looked up the info for store hours online but when she went to the store they were not open. So the hours online wasnt correct. She went in the following day to get the book for me.They didnt have it but ordered it for her. The day it was supposed to arrive it didnt but was there the next day. I went to pick up the book only to find out my sister didnt purchase it yet. But customer service didnt have a problem with taking the purchase over the phone from her. The young lady in the store was helpful and the store was very full of many books. New hours Monday - Saturday 10am-6pm

I enjoyed looking at the books, the layout of the store was okay. My two stars are not about the store. Its more about customer service, or the lack thereof_for for me.My intent when I drove 4 hours and 30 mintues from NC to Beaufort, SC was to see first hand how my daughter and I could partner with THIS bookstore as former Beaufort natives to see how we could donate several up coming new books that we have written.One of the ten books we have written is about mental illness through the eyes of a child, another tells the story about the kind loving librarians on Saint Helena were my daughter spent many hours as young girl, even took her first steps there! I never got the opportunity to that.The forty- five minutes that I was in the store looking around 2 customers, 1 phone call later... No one greeted me when I enter the store even though I spoke, no one spoke when I left the store, no one asked if I needed help, the owner who were present and the other two ladies didnt provide anything that seem inviting for ME. This book store may be celebrating 35 years for its stay and dedication, not for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere

Just passing through town and stopped here for specific item. The clerk was chatting with a person at the counter as I entered. The entire time I wondered around trying to find the section I needed he continued to talk. Never once greeted me, asked if I needed help or said goodbye. I would have asked but felt unwelcomed. And that I would interrupting them catching up. Way to represent southern hospitailty. #Northiswhereitsat # Alaskansarenicer

Don’t let the strip mall location fool you, this is the best bookstore in Beaufort. I’ve brought a few friends here. Each time, they’re surprised by the selection of books and gifts.The staff is knowledgeable, polite, and unpretentious.The hours are convenient.You’ve earned my respect and my business.Thank you!

Horrible the Manager lied to me when I told her it was a gift for Christmas. In the year 2017 not taking a return. With Amazon and everything else. Never ever ever will I shop there again. Wow. Sad part is I am a Store Manager in the same complex. Wow. They didnt say policy was on the counter. Wow. Lied right to my face. I asked them 2 days before Christmas if I can return it and they both said yes. Bad business.

Always friendly staff, great atmosphere, the books showcased are always interesting and good suggestions.
