I HATE having to go in any department store to make a return or an exchange because they give you such a hassle! Well, Academy was different! I made an online order on a shirt; ordered wrong size and a very nice and friendly young Hispanic girl made my exchange quick, fast and so easy! I had my email receipt and she entered information she needed, gave me my money back on a gift card and I was done. It didn’t take her 5 minutes! Thank you for having wonderful employees who actually help you!

Great academy that can get very busy.Went in for school clothes shopping and my daughter wanted a specific shirt and we couldnt find her size AND the tag was missing off the one was found.The employees assisting us looked everywhere on the sales floor until we found the shirt size we needed.On another visit I bought a shotgun and was also assisted quickly and with great service.Overall a great store.

I realize I have a common size. But come on. 6 different shoes. I can wear 9xtra wide or 9 1/2 wide. So thats 12 chances. Then NOTHING.

I like shopping here, the staff is nice, good customer service, good selection of products, the store is clean, the restrooms are clean. The prices are a little high, but I think that is true at every Academy! I recommend this store.

Everyone was helpful as soon as I walked in. Plus the guy checking me out was amazing!! His name was Gavin he had the best customer service, and he was real down to earth.

It was great..they had a wide variety of all the sports equipment I use...excellent experience..

They dont have much merchandise that my grandson needed for school so I was able to buy half in store and then order the other half Id have been able to save some money if I could have bought it all at one time

Third party security discriminated against Disabled Vereran.After spending 2 hrs shopping i waited foe my neighbor at customer service for at least 20 min. At which time he targeted me i n the scooter to leave the store. ADA has been notified... also several managers came forward and spoke with to me and agreed. ESCALATED TO accusing me of stealing shoes that I have just bought prior to going to Academy Sports they went back and viewed the video when I went into the store install that I was truthful and I was falsely accused of stealing shoes in their store stand by for further further updates and attorneys will follow with ADA.

Its a good place to get stuff if you have the money.

Management needs to improve. Service at firearms is extremely slow. Several people walked away as I waited. This store is also low in stock on several things. Worth the extra drive time to bass pro shops tbh

Everything and everyone is amazing here we never have issues except today. We did not know we can not return ammo once buying it my brother Inlaw after them telling him they can not take it back he walked away to catch up with us doin shopping. The short security guard wants to fallow my brother Inlaw like if he was a thief and followed him to meet us. After my family said I’ll meet y’all at the car there making me feel uncomfortable. After he left outside the security guard steadily looking for my family. You guys are not right not everyone are thieves ya know. Y’all need to check y’all’s security.

Most of the time they have what you are looking for. Its a 50/50 chance you will find what you are looking for. Maybe because of COVID-19 they have nobody on the sale floor to help you with anything.

I favor transparency & unbiased critiques first and foremost; with that being said, my recent experience at Academy Sports & Outdoors was a pleasant one. For the most part, they have what you are looking for with an impressive array of merchandise, clothing, shoes, boots & accessories just to name a few.My only complaints are due in large part of the laxed COVID-19 mask policies. I personally dont understand why customers are allowed in this store without masks while we are still realistically in a pandemic. Several people without masks acting like nothings wrong. Also the prices are steep and the discounts are miniscule at best.In conclusion; Academy Sports & Outdoors accommodate the sports & outdoor enthusiasts with a variety of options to choose from.

Great for sports goods . However the First mission tactical Magazine the sell as 30 round are bogus they have a limiter to 20 round built in!!! So DONT SELL thim at 30 round magazine price!!!!? 😠😠

Yes..one star because I am disappointed they would not exchange a rod that broke with 8 pound test line. I actually bought two of them. I bought my gun there, shoes and much more. Even my Pit Boss smoker. I will be spending my money elsewhere.

I dont know why academy sports and outdoors dont sell GPS,s anymore they used to at least they did in Louisiana.. I asked three people finally one of the initiative to go check and came back and told me that they dont sell them anymore. save me from walking all over the store. Going to buy a pair of boots comfortable boots I like them.

Academy managed to turn a five minute return into a half hour ordeal. Average time per customer check out was insane. When the guy in front starts playing with his hat you know you have a system problem.

Not one pair of water shoes. Only 2 Lines open & so long I’m not waiting there 45 minutes To check out for some flip-flops.

I went in for some clothes and I picked out my clothes and proceeded to the register. I get to a line where apparently they only have 1 register working. Come on academy get it together.

Had to drive out to Spring for the Kimber I wanted, but it was well worth the drive. I think this is the 3rd, maybe the 4th time Ive purchased a firearm from them, first time at this location. Super friendly and professional as always, no issues with me being trans once I laid out all my paperwork, some gun stores can still be kinda weird about it, never any issues at Academy. Bit of a mix-up with the online ordering about whether to wait outside or not, but thats COVID BS and theyre handling it better than most I guess.

They dont keep stock (even before pandemic) they dont get back to consumers

Christmas shopping lines were all the way back to the dressing rooms. Surprisingly only took about 5 minutes. Poor employee kept having to watch out for the people that didnt realize there was only one line and she would have to redirect them. Great job!

Waited 15 minutes infront of a sales associate. While he just sat there flirting with girls. Had to tap him on his shoulder, and only then he acknowledged us. Then passed the ball to someone else. He went into the back than disappeared for 40 minutes. I had to stop and ask another employee for help she called out over the radio to ask someone to come help us asap. Still no service.

Went in because I saw an item online. Instead of waiting for curbside pick up, I went inside the store to buy the item. At the customer service counter I asked where in the store that item was. I was told that there was 1 left in the store and where it was at. Sure enough, it was there. Good inventory system.

Service here was fantastic and I felt safe as I shopped here as well 10/10!

It was good spent too much money

Their online store said they had the item I was looking for. However, when I arrived they in fact, did not have the item I wanted to buy. Their online inventory system might be a little messed up. Also, while I was there, I looked around at other stuff. The shelves were mostly bare. They can do better, I know. Its just unfortunate the several trips I have made to this store and surrounding stores produced the exact same results.

They earned my 5 stars for the quality and selection.

Academy has always been my go-to place for all my outdoors needs. Hunting and Fishing supplies as well as my sporting goods. I absolutely love Academy for the many years in supplying all of my needs. The staff has always been great with answering any questions I may have.

Staff was available when I needed help. I was able to get what I needed and get out. Check out was smooth and the lines moved nicely.

Had one thing I needed and what was cool, the employee told me that they have nothing as in gun holster and that me beast bet would be Amazon because they have nothing that would fit my fire army but I did get my body armor and it rocks.

Eva helped get us approved for a credit card and saved with the promotion they had she was so helpful nice and patient and even checked prices on items we didn’t know I was unsure of the price definitely one of the better academies I’ve ever been to five star Academy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Multiple staff members were also helpful in finding gear and questions about products.

Took a little bit to check out and had to put halfthe stuff back because the shelf price was well below the register price. Showed 6 or 7 dollars but when I checked out it was ringing up about 25 to 30 dollars more than the shelf sticker said.

Havent been here in ages got some new cool shoes yesenia is a doll she helped us the whole entire time try on a ton of shoes and had a smile on her face I consider her an asset to your store for sure most employees hate doing manual labor but she was happy to help and said its my job Im happy to help yall. Another girl helped clean up to Darielle and she smiled and had a positive attitude as well. Thanks academy will come back.

Terrible! Academy has decided not to honor the Warranty on their H2O line of products. I understand not honoring other brands. But H20 is made by ACADEMY!!! When I bought my H20 reel I was told by the guy behind the counter that it was under warranty for years. All I had to do is bring it in and get a replacement. If they are only going to warranty the H2O products for 60 days, NO ONE IS GOING TO BUY ANY OF IT!!!It is totally unethical to sell a product with a warranty and renig on it a year later!!! I AM A VERY ANGRY LONGTIME CUSTOMER!!!
