This is one of my top international markets to visit in Baton Rouge. The store clerk I encounter on each visit is the nicest—he always recognizes us, greets us, and asks how we are doing. And he is very open to hearing our suggestions on products, meals, etc. The conversation with him feels very warm. As for the products offered, I prefer to buy bulk items from here,specifically staple goods like semolina, rice, and spices. And drinks...my husband and I like to browse the drink aisle, but we always search for the Sarikiz Apple soda. This is a must! I have come to prefer the size of international soda bottles...not too much but just enough for a sigh of satisfaction. Although we never seem to buy any on our visits,the produce section appears fresh. The aisles are clean and free of back stock, which is a plus compared to other international markets around. Overall, A Z International Fine Foods has a really good selection of foods mostly centered around India, Greece, Turkey, and the Middle East but definitely products from other countries as well. And the prices are very affordable.I recommend!

Very nice one stop shop for Asian grocery with a lot is brand options. Its not on my preferred list for meat and vegetables. Would definitely recommend.

I walk in there yesterday on October 17 2021, first thing cashier told me no mask no service. There was not a single Custmer in the store, it looks like these people doesn’t want the business. I walk back out and went to other halal grocery store and nobody had mask in customers.

Good service, but not much meat selection

All of the middle Eastern food you can imagine here and the spices, cheese, meat, flour, oils you need to cook. Lots of sweets and drinks. I love going here. Its a special treat. We drive over an hour to visit this store occasionally. They take credit cards and the lady that works the counter is patient and kind. I wish the store was bigger, there is so much to see and buy and I never feel like I have enough time to get everything we need.

This little grocery is packed with a wonderful array of foods and spices from all over the near and far east. Their inventory includes an impressive variety of halal and kosher products, and the shopkeepers are friendly and accommodating.

The sales associate was extremely nice and helpful! I am definiteely going to make this a part of my shopping stops. The store was very neat and full of surprising goodies.

A to Z provides me and others like me a unique opportunity to purchase specified groceries that I would otherwise have to buy in New Orleans, or have shipped from out of State.People from India, Africa, the Caribbean and East Europe find it quite convenient to shop here. Thanks for still having your doors open even in these crucial times.

**I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE ADA**I’ve heard a lot of good things about this store so I decided to try it for myself. However, upon walking in, the first thing I got was an angry little man behind the counter telling me I had to wear a mask. Either he is unaware that the governor’s proclamation is no longer in effect as well as the fact that the ADA prohibits discrimination against individuals with respiratory conditions, or he just doesn’t care. I tried to explain these things to him but he still refused to let me shop, despite the fact that there was hardly anyone in the store. He also refused to give me the name of the manager or the owner. If you’re going to make illegal rules about shopping in your store, you should at least have the backbone to own it.

The cashier was a very friendly lady. I did not find everything I wanted, but there was a nice array of things. I got (hibiscus, cinnamon sticks, hemp seeds, fenugreek seeds, and alum powder.) All under $12

A to Z is a source for Middle Eastern and a Indian style foods. I can find any spice or spice blend Ive heard of any many Im still unfamiliar with. Their dry and canned goods selections are extensive, also. There are all kinds of beans and dals to prepare an an extensive selection of canned goods, teas, and sweets, such as Turkish Delight. We also go there for a selection of different varieties of feta cheese and other cheeses. The staff are always very helpful when we cant find something.

This is one of my favorite places to go when looking for international and Middle Eastern products and ingredients. Great Indian and Middle Eastern spices and products with an overall cheap price tag. The have a small section of a few fresh produce and some international bottled sodas and juices. Interesting area of snacks from sweets to savory. Theres a good bit of choices in different teas and coffees. Baklava is the absolute best and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I have always been happy with my purchase at this store! The people are sweet and helpful! Halurmmi cheese is very reasonable, & delicious! The mixed garlic and ginger is wonderful, as is the cilantro seasoning in a jar! Last a long time if refrigerated! 💕

This is a great place to find that special something to kick you out of the typical hamburger and fries rut. The store clerk was also very polite and helpful. Id definitely recommend checking this place out to anyone that has a minute.

I have been shopping at AZ for over twenty years. The pricing and selection is great. The store was one of the first international markets in Baton Rouge. The owner and employees are always helpful and friendly.I started shopping at the Florida Blvd. location and continued to the Jefferson Highway at Tiger Bend location. This location has limited my frequency of shopping there. It would be great if there could be another mid-city store.If you have not been to AZ you should go and try something new.

Groceries, snacks, drinks. New taste! Reasonable price. Stop on way home. Or for roadside street. 10:30 to 8:00 weekdays. Check weekend hrs.

Its a fine place for items from different countries, you may or may not find what youre looking for. Some items are at a lower price than in other stores. However, very less fresh produce and the produce available is very old.

I want sure what to expect here, but Im thrilled with what I found. They have frozen garlic naan, a HUGE selection of spices and spice blends, and selections of favorites from Germany to India. If youre feeling adventurous, wander through and try something new! Their process are also lower than expected.

This store has mostly items from the Middle East and India. If you’re looking for items from more eastern parts of Asia, you should probably go elsewhere. Otherwise, the store has a very large selection and a lot of great spices and delicacies you can’t find anywhere else.

I visit this store at least twice a month to stock up on spices, naan, and some really neat snacks that I cant find anywhere else. I mainly get ingredients for Indian food, but they have so many other things here.

They sell expired food items on sale. They have a good selection for the size of the store. They need to provide a better selection though.

Great little international grocery store. I started going for the halloumi and paneer but Ive been pleasantly surprised at how many other great foods Ive found from all over the world. Even though its a super tiny store they pack in a huge variety, you can always find something new there to try. The staff are friendly and the store is clean, but it is definitely an older store that hasnt been remodeled in a while. I think it adds to the charm, but if you like big polished mega-marts this isnt the place for you.

Place is good. But today we had a bad experience. According to google it closes at 8 00pm. Normally i take only two mins to do shopping bcz i know exactly where the things which i want. I went there at 7 53pm. One employee was inside and he said they are closed. And there was a another customer too. If they are closing at 7 45 pm they should update them in google as well as the time board. Bcz its not fair to customers.

Growing up in the middle east i know much the items in this store costs. Items are way overpriced. Also, Watch out for the dude at the cashier, he may punch something twice if you are not looking.It happened to me and when i “caught” him he tried to evade by saying “sometimes the owner changes prices” 😡 Be on your guard if you are shopping here.

Moderately priced(compared to the other options in the city) Indian groceries with different brands to choose from, loads of varieties of snacks from India and a good place to buy mutton. Produce section is not so fresh but the freezer has lots of Indian veggies.

After the last visit i will never go here again. I have always overlooked how dingy the store usually is and how many of the items are full of dust and some with rust all over the cans. Its convenient and easy to get in and out so I always went here overlooking the negative aspects. But after this visit, I will no longer ever go here and was compelled to review the horrible service. When I walked in, there was no associate to be found. I was in a hurry but had items to get so it wasnt a big deal at that time. However amother lady waited over 20 minutes for someone to appear. Look I understand there is only 1 person at the store, but over 20 minutes is excessive. Ive owned businesses and being available for a customer is important. Obviously this gentlemen doesnt care about his business with his attitude. His behavior is typical of an associate at Walmart who doesnt give a care about their job...but Id expect more from a business owner. Well after I completed my shopping I placed my items on the table to check out. After checking the items he brought to my attention in order to use a credit card I must spend 20 or more. Ok I il understand there are fees with cc transactions. But NOWHERE does it state you must spend $20 to use a credit card. Which is really a rediculous amount! So I hurriedly found within a minute 2 more items to satisfy his absurd request. I had NO CUSTONERS behind me. I dont know what kind of rush this guy was in but his attitude was very unnecessary. I placed the items on the table and never saw him scan the 2nd. I asked him twice whether he scanned the item and got nothing more than a mumble. I again asked and he had the audacity to get an ugly attitude with me snapping at me as though it was my fault. Look, Im the PAYING customer. I although livid at this moment was very polite and was treated as though I was nothing. I will NEVER go back here again. I write this review as I am sitting at another local international food store whose owner and employees are always at the counter, the store is always clean, and never once got an attitude with me.

This is THE place to go for all the foods that the supermarkets dont stock - decent Tea, Basmati rice and Pocky Sticks are our regular purchases plus spices and other sundries that you simply cant find elsewhere - Jaggery (real unrefined sugar) etc. The shop is super clean.
