They have large selection of clothes and if you have the time to look through you could find stuff. The stores cleanliness I question. Fitting rooms are not open to public. The quality of items are hit or miss. Lots of cute things but I dont think they check for Knicks/imperfections/holes/oil stained/wine stains on their clothes. Alot of the clothes are found with these imperfections which I hardly ever see at a Goodwill/Savers. So they dont have high standards when putting their clothes out to the public. Plus the grossest thing happened I tried a couple of dresses on over my clothes and as I took them off a bug from one of the dress crawled onto my chest. Looked like a yellow bug with six legs super tiny. So my friend and I were constantly pushed and the employees are cutting in front of you to clean with no excuse me swiping dirt on you. We right away went to the laundry mat to wash our clothes ASAP for fear of bring bedbugs. Dont come here not very clean.

I found it a bit strange that I was the only person the employee spoke out to.

Good selection BUT they’ve continued to increase prices over the past year and now youre not allowed to try anything on. So you have to hope a used pair of jeans for $16 will fit because you cant return them. There is no good reason to not let people try on clothes other than to force people to buy things that they are unsure about. I wont be coming back until they open up the dressing rooms again or drastically reduce their prices. Only about 20% of what I bought fits properly which is not cool in this economy.

You can fully outfit your home and body by shopping here. Great for toys, decor (cheap picture frames!), sheets and towels (I always find 100% cotton when I dig), clothing (my go to for my kiddo, clean unstained cute pieces), coats, home goods, office supplies, holiday stuff. Furniture is hit or miss, you got to keep checking in because they’re updating their stock throughout the day (or just never leave which isnt hard to do). I will go here with a specific thing in mind and often find it. Staff are great, there’s a couple bathrooms you can use (not always clean), ample parking and bonus: they open at 8am. I love donating here and how they’re not affiliated with a religious organization but all about protecting the environment.

This used to be my favorite place in Austin to find deals. In the last 3 years it’s become my least favorite. The prices have gone up and the quality of clothing way down. The last straw for me was finding a jacket and bringing it home to find it just infested with bed bugs. There’s no more dressing rooms and no return policy, the manager is rude and unhelpful, the clothes are racked too low to the ground in some places it’s hard to look through them and the place just keeps getting dirtier. I’d be surprised if it lasts another year or two.

The store is ALWAYS clean just cluttered . The only issue that I have is customers that come in with numerous children, they dont tend to them. Therefore, they ALWAYS go into the toy area & destroy it for others, whom like to shop in that area as well. I NEVER let my grandson out of the basket, as its courteous & hes MY responsibility . The prices were decent but I was appalled at the behavior of the employees as I shopped on Saturday morning January 5, 2019. A group of 4 female employees, all speaking Spanish and laughing loudly and pointing (not sure if they were pointing at me, other customers or something else since I dont speak the language) were clustered near the entrance between the two cash registers. Their loud laughter convinced me they were having a very good time. They were blocking the door and entry and I veered around them. They made no greeting or apology. After selecting items, I got in line. The one cashier was surrounded by 3 other female employees. They were all speaking Spanish and laughing loudly every time one of them spoke. The cashier did not smile, make eye contact, greet me, or thank me. Without acknowledging me in any way, she took my items and rang them up while she continued to participate in the Spanish-language conversation among the employees, speaking to me twice. When I handed her my credit card, she said ID. She looked at my ID and wordlessly handed it back. After processing my payment, she pushed the credit slip toward me and said Sign. I have been to Texas Thrift before and it has always seemed casual but well organized and the employees are polite and attentive. I cant give todays experience Zero Stars although it deserves it. Ill give two stars because of past visits and because I know they can do better. Todays experience left me feeling unwelcome and out of place. It was not a good experience and made this a place Im not anxious to revisit.

I recently shopped here on 6/25/19. And this place is NOT suitable for people who use wheelchairs. The isles are WAY too narrow & cluttered & I could BARELY get into the fitting room with my wheelchair. I was running over goods that were laying in the floor of some isles that I could not see! I could not shop well as much as I wanted! The OTHER MAJOR problem was when I was paying for my clothes... The cashier asked to see my ID/Drivers license, I was ONLY buying clothes! NOT liquor or cigarettes I am 47 years old! The cashier told me it is store policy! This is the FIRST TIME I was ever asked this when buying clothes! OTHER places would only ask for my email address or phone number.. Nowadays, Stores want SOME form of personal information when you buy things! You cant just quickly buy & leave out the door anymore, Not like in the OLD DAYS. Im NOT SURE if I will return to shop here again! Because that didnt make sense! I UNDERSTAND this is a thrift store, But I wish they would AT LEAST have it so that a handicapped person in wheelchairs can navigate through the store better so we can explore every isle. I AM DISAPPOINTED & INFURIATED about the store policy. In the PAST I called their home pick up service and they never even called me back OR came by to pick up a lot of goods I wanted to donate to them! SO... My overall experience of shopping here is unsatisfied since I couldnt reach SOME ISLES! I will just have to stick with other places I have been going! I only wanted to try this place because I got caught in rain & I just happened to be passing by in front of here! 😲😔

Aside from not having enough room to maneuver the carts through the aisles, I love this place! As most parents know, kids grow so quickly. I was tired of spending hundreds and hundred of dollars on toddler clothing just for them to be able to wear the clothes a handful of times, then I had to give them away. It becomes expensive and tiresome. My brother introduced me to this place a few years ago, and Ive bought nearly all of my clothes and my girls clothes here since. They have a wide array of nice, sometimes brand-new with original tags still on them clothing for all sexes and ages. I can go in there and get a weeks worth of clothing for myself, and both of my daughters for less than $100! Ive walked out of this place with really nice clothes and have spent so little money. It is astounding! The store is not as clean as Goodwill, but the selections, and the prices more than make up for it. I would definitely continue to shop here. Ive gotten many people hooked on it. If youre ever in Killeen, they have a REALLY nice on up there!

Everyone is cheerful and glad to help. One caveat, dont stop by here unless you have a couple of hours to spend.
