I highly recommend R&R Discount Furniture. My son, a student at UT-Austin, needed bedroom furniture for his house. He was in California and I was in NJ so neither of us could physically see and pick the furniture. But Vincent (owner’s son) sent me pictures and pricing for all of the in-stock options. I selected a set and it was delivered on schedule and set up in the house. Vincent promised to fix any damaged pieces, but the furniture arrived with no damage. When I realized my son needed a thin box spring, I called Vincent and he arranged for it to be delivered with the rest of the furniture, notwithstanding the short notice. Vincent was a pleasure to work with, extremely responsive by text and cell phone and did not take advantage of the fact that we were buying furniture sight unseen. To the contrary, R&R provided excellent customer service and a pleasant virtual shopping experience.

I just received a 6 drawer dresser from R &R Discount Furniture. The delivery guys came on time and they had to carry up the dresser up stairs. When relocating to Austin from across the country, I knew I wanted to revamp my furniture. I was initially scouring classic websites like Wayfair, figuring out which items I needed and then stressing about assembly, getting them up to my apartment, and whether they were *actually* like in the pictures.One phone call to R&R and one conversation with Vincent, and I knew I would be getting all of my furniture - for this move and for any additions - from these guys. They get items directly from the manufacturer and save cost on the showroom. If you dont see anything in stock you like ask to look through the catalogs. We had been recommended R&R by a friend who had bought a sectional there and was happy with it. We ended up buying a love seat/couch pair at a pretty good price. I had such a wonderful experience with R & R. Like all furniture stores right now, they are struggling to get items in stock, however their customer service is absolutely phenomenal. I called ahead of time to check on a few recliners and spoke to Vincent, he let me know they didnt currently have what I was looking for in stock but gave me an estimate on how long it would take to get it. The care he had in that simple conversation truly wont me over. Even as we got off the phone I asked if they made commission because I wanted to make sure he got the commission if I called back later, he informed me that it was a small family run buisness so it didnt matter wto him who got the credit. I bought some furniture last year and had it delivered . Everything looked good except the recliner had a small factory defect . I called back and talked to Vincent, he sent someone to look at it right away and we found out it could not be fixed. Due to the covid the loveseat was out of stock but he assured me that as soon he got one in stock it he would have it delivered .A few months passed but he would call me to check in and let me know he had not forgot about me. As soon as he was able to get the loveseat he called me up and had it delivered right away.Not to many places would go out of there way like this to help out a customer . My experience with r&r has been incredibly positive. i recently moved to austin, and they were extremely helpful during the process. they were kind enough to deliver a mattress on my first day so i wasnt sleeping on the floor, and from there i ordered nearly 10 pieces of furniture which were all delivered in an extremely timely manner. although covid has slowed down production on some of the items i ordered, Vince was always in touch and sending me updates as soon as they came. i purchased a bed, couch, table, desk, and some chairs from r&r, all have been amazing quality for amazing prices. as long as im in the area, i will always count on these guys for any future furniture needs.

Today, 5/21/20, my family and I came to this location with the intent on buying couches, and a dining room table, willing to spend well over $2000 cash. Rather than being welcomed warmly, my girlfriend was confronted by a female employee asking her what she wanted, and that she was just walking in like nothing. We called the previous day to make sure that we were okay to visit, and were welcome to walk in, but instead she was confronted with this employees rudeness, and disrespectful attitude. We would have appreciated a heads up stating that we would need to make an appointment, as stated by the employee, rather than being treated the way we were and being turned away although the store was completely empty. This furniture would’ve been for our new house that we just moved into in Kyle, TX. A little more friendly customer service would’ve been appreciated. We will be taking our business elsewhere and won’t be coming to this location at all.

Weve purchased two bedroom sets, a dining room set, and a large sectional couch from R&R over the last 6-7 years. Weve been happy with our purchases and will continue to buy from R&R in the future. Customer service has always been personalized (Robert remembers our names and what weve purchased) when we come in, call, or email. Robert/R&R has always been willing to search for an item/set if we find it outside of R&Rs showroom/catalogs, and has been honest right away with whether or not R&R can get the items and/or be price competitive. For the few items R&R was not able to get/be price competitive on over the years, it was either because the distribution of the brand/product line was restricted to certain distributors, or R&R simply couldnt get the item for the same cost. R&R even helped us find other competitive outlets/distributors for items they couldnt supply.Pro Tip:The strategy my wife and I take with furniture is to hit up a few showrooms in Austin & look online to find the piece/set we like most. Then we send R&R a web link or give them the make and model we found at another showroom (pictures help too), and see if they can get the furniture and be price competitive. Considering the amount weve bought from R&R, theyve probably saved us close to a couple grand. On our Ashley couch alone we saved around $600 going through R&R instead of the Ashley store.

First of all let me tell you that i walked in there to buy $2000+ worth of stuff. I went to the store given the reviews were amazing BUT to my surprise the customer service was awful. The dude Vincent was pretty rude and disrespectful, his mom and brother didn’t even care to acknowledge us or even make eye contact. They’re definitely waay too proud of them being in business for “30 years” he kept repeating it over and over again.When i asked him to give me a good deal because we were buying bedroom + living room furniture he said he will give us the best deal. But here’s the fun part, we chose a set of recliners that he said was for $1000 but he’ll give us a deal and give a $100 off on it. My husband goes on their website to check for bedroom sets and guess what, those recliners were listed as $870 on their website. So the dude wasnt really giving us a deal but asking for $30 more than it was listed for! I asked for a coffee table he said it was for $100 then comes back and goes its for $200 and he wont give any discounts on it cause then its a loss for him but hey guess what? the table on the website was listed for $154!!!!! He kept making us look like we’re really cheap to ask for a deal it made me feel super uncomfortable! I just bought a MUCH BETTER recliner set for $1000 from Furniture Zone and I was more than happy to pay that money because i was given respect as a customer!

When we moved, we completely furnished our house-- living room couch & chair, dining set, master bed, bedside tables, office desk, and office chair. Not only did he provide me with a ton of different catalogs to find exactly what we needed, but he was also able to quickly provide me with pricing and timeframes that we would receive our furniture. I stumbled across this furniture store after grabbing lunch at Din Ho Chinese BBQ. Id been considering purchasing a new couch, but hadnt found one that I liked AND was in my price range. Im so glad I came across R&R! I found the perfect sofa and it was on sale. Robert was persuasive, but not pushy.I needed to get rid of my (then) current sofa before I could take delivery on the new couch, so Robert suggested that I pay half on the couch that day to lock in the price. Then, when I was able to get rid of the old couch, to call him to arrange delivery and pay for the rest of the couch. Sounded great to me! After paying half on the couch, I looked around at the dining sets, and saw one that I liked. I didnt purchase it that day, but it stayed on my mind.A week or so later, I decided that I wanted the dining set and couch, but didnt want to deal with the hassle of selling them on Craigslist or something. So, when I went pay the remaining balance on the couch and purchase the dining set, Robert said the delivery men would haul off the old sofa and dining set (for free). Sweet!The delivery men arrived the next day, and were very prompt and professional during the delivery and set up. The $60 delivery charge was very reasonable, especially since my apartment is on the 3rd floor. :-) Im a big proponent of shopping locally, and the next time Im in the market for new furniture, I will definitely stop at R&R first.

They source all their furniture from Texas based companies so that they can control for the quality of the furniture (the longer the distance for furniture to get to you, the more likely it will not show up on time or will be broken by the time it gets to you in general.) Theyve been in Austin since 92, the year I was born and apparently, my parents bought from them over 20 years ago when they purchased their first house! You will NOT be disappointed. Oh, and they speak Spanish as well so there will be no miscommunication issues if you need to order from them in Spanish too. :) Really couldnt find a kinder family. Very satisfied with my purchase! I needed a new sofa and found this place online. Seemed like very good prices (almost too good) so I sent an email thinking I might not even get a response. Got one back very quickly and they were out of stock of the item I wanted but said it would be in that week. Went out the store on the Soutside and saw what I wanted and they were able to have it delivered the next day and at the time I requested. We had a great experience purchasing a couch and ottoman at R&R. The staff was very helpful and the delivery process went smoothly. It is a warehouse so dont expect to be pampered while shopping, or necessarily want to stay too long, but the value was great!
