After dealing with a busted window regulator on my SUV for 2 hours, I threw in the towel. I called Ace the day before and Robert told me to show up any time the next morning. This business is a treasure. I inadvertently removed my driver side mirrors outer shell while backing out of a tight space, and ran into Roy right away in the parking lot. He called out for one of his workers and he fixed my mirror housing to hold me over until I can replace it. I think it only took 10 minutes. Roy even gave me a free history lessons on the early pioneers to the hill country prior to barb wire . All for just $25! He also hooked me up with a mirror supplier to save $ from going to the dealership.What more can you say? I showed up cold on a Saturday morning and was taken care of and walked away a little smarter about the Hill Country. 5 Stars, easy.

Showed up at 4:15 pm for a broken drivers Rear view mirror which means if a cop spots it you can be given a ticket in Texas; and if you also need to renew your license, (as I did) you cant until that review mirror is fixed. God help how much you can be sued for if you are in an accident while driving with your drivers rear view mirror broken?Anyhow, The owner/Mgr? at Ace told me he thought they could fix it before their workers were off in half an hour at 5PM. And unlike my earlier estimate from a nearby auto repair garage (over $1000 to replace my Mercedes rear view mirror,) the Ace guy said they could do it in the next half hour for $50.00!!!! They said I neednt buy a whole new rear view mirror motor and glass - as the rip off garage had told me - but after only a few minutes examining my damaged rear view mirror and inner motor, they said they felt they could simply replace the mirror glass which would be quick and cheap. This has to be the worst customer service! The first time I called the man on the phone was super rude. Called two days later and a woman on the phone told me Jeremy would be calling and then hung up on me. I wouldn’t ever use this company based on the attitudes from the initial service people. No way they care about the quality of work with those attitudes. Customer service...or human manners does not exists with this company!

Daughter had a water leak inside the roof area of her car. Thought it was the windshield seal. Called a few places but nobody wanted to touch it without replacing the windshield itself. Called Ace Discount Glass and they told me to bring it in where they did an air leak test and found out it was clogged drainage hoses in the sunroof. They cleaned out the lines and the leak is now fixed. Did a thorough inspection before performing any repairs and only charged for the one repair. Highly recommend the good folks.

Today I shattered my back windshield. I am so glad I called around and found Ace. Safelite gave me a quote of $600 and said they could do it wednesday.. but I was out of Ace in 30 minutes for about $260. Really good staff. They were professional, vaccumed up the broken glass for me and even glued in a seal that was popping out on my front windshield!! I dont think I will go anywhere else in the future.. hopefully i dont need to though!

I purchased a house a few months ago, and in the negotiations, the seller agreed to replace the seals on the windows. The seller hired this company to do it. When they started the work, they broke some windows in their attempt at replacing the seals. They told the seller that it was going to keep happening, and theyd need to replace all of the glass in all of the windows in order to replace the seals. The seller agreed to the work, but it took a few weeks for them to acquire the glass they needed to do the job. When they finally showed up to do the work, they told the seller that the only way to get the existing glass out, was to break the windows. They proceeded to break every window in the house to get the glass out.Upon moving in, we discovered glass shards around the tree in the front yard. Then the following day we noticed that it was in much more of the yard than just around the tree. In the following weeks we discovered glass and plastic sealing throughout the front and back yards, on the floors and window sills inside the house, and in the gutters. So much glass and plastic sealing in the gutters, that they clogged. My 5 yr old cut his foot on glass they left. We also noticed some of the windows have incomplete seals or no seal at all, spaces between the glass and the frame, and even a bent window frame that looks like they bent it trying to pry the glass out or something. Then the neighbor pointed out that they also left a broom on our roof.After many promises from the seller that they were going to call them, we finally called them ourselves. They sent some people over to the house to clean up but as far as we could tell, all they did was walk around and look at everything. They completely denied bending the window frame even though our inspector from the purchase vouched that it wasnt like that when he did his inspection before the work was done and his inspection report shows pictures of the windows, showing that it wasnt like that.. They said the space between the glass and window frame was because of the frame and not their work. Not sure how that works, seems like the piece of glass is too small for the frame. They got the broom off the roof and asked us to look around and make sure their clean up was good enough, but when we walked into the first room, there was glass and plastic very obviously in the middle of the floor (that wasnt there before they came through) so we just said its fine, please leave because at that point they werent helping at all and we were tired of dealing with them. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone and if I hear of anyone planning to use them I will strongly suggest another company. They did a shoddy job at best and made my new home a danger to my family without any remorse or accountability. Ive spent months cleaning up the glass and plastic they left behind, and Im now interviewing window companies to find one Im comfortable with allowing to come in and fix the incomplete seals, bent window frame, and the glass that isnt big enough for the frame. What a disaster. If I could leave zero stars I would.

I just had my back windshield on my car replaced by these guys and they are the BEST. My car had the front windshield bashed in my a vandal and I was having a hard time finding a shop to repair it day of or next day. I spoke to Robert and said they had the shield for my car. Weve had windows and a windshield replaced with Ace. Roy was accommodating and very helpful. He went out of his way to get us taken care of quickly since we were in the neighborhood! I used his salvage business as well and he made several phone calls to help me locate a part even though he did not carry it. Wonderful experience both times I have came to Ace. I had my back window replaced a few months ago and now my front windshield and both times they have done a great job. Called in with questions about getting a piece of glass to go on top of a desk I am building. They didnt have the exact size I needed but let me know they could custom cut anything I needed and with their encouragement I drove out to the store. A rock to the windshield found me scrambling for a repair prior to my inspection expiring at the end of the month. Safelite quoted me $139 to repair the nick and small spider, but added that they couldnt guarantee the work on a repair and advised replacing it for $329 if I drove to their shop.I decided to price shop and called Ace Discount Glass after reading several great reviews. They not only quoted the job for $100 less, but fix it right away. An hour later, the job was expertly completed!The service techs were professional and friendly - and clearly experts at doing this. I highly recommend Ace Discount Glass. Theyll be my first and only call going forward.

Horrible customer service! I purchased all of my glass, mirrors, windows, etc., from this company over 20 years ago. Called them up a couple weeks ago because I have a shower window that has not performed well (weeping and fogging, etc., inside the double paned, low E glass panels), and was flippantly told that someone will call you next week! Of course, they did not call, and the other reviews on here about poor customer service are completely accurate! Im having my shower re-tiled, so getting the work done was time sensitive. They dont care... Clearly, they dont value past customers, and they are inept with handling their staff and taking care of their business. Perhaps the old owners have retired? New staff is inept and uncaring. Not a good formula to run a business. PLUS their prices are NOT Discount... They have more than quadrupled their prices for just simple glass installation. They have no biz calling themselves a discount business or even a business with these considerations. DONT BOTHER OR WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

I have never ever encounter such an unprofessional staff. I just kindly asked for an estimate on tempered glass windows in sunroom that were required to obtain a permit. I had a response as follows “ go see someone else and we will bid on it ” literally. Good luck for their business.

I went to and called 9 or 10 custom shops, glass shops, auto body shops, trying to get my rearview mirror mounted back onto my BMW 135i, and was told I need a new windshield, new mirror, quoted crazy prices, etc. Called ACE and they told me to come down and they would let me know for sure. The mirror was actually busted, but David took it apart and fixed it (complicated hi tech mirror), then got it mounted on all within one hour. You can tell he was the type of guy who had to figure it out and fix it for me, and he did! Super nice team of people here, VERY fair price, found my go to spot for all things glass, door, and anything else they do!! Thanks y’all!

After having my car broken into on this rainy and cold Sunday and having my purse stolen, I was working my way through the process of recovering from the incident. After cancelling my credit cards, filing reports and such. I started to Google search methods for temporarily covering my smashed door window, as I was sure no one would be willing to fix it on such a Sunday. I stumbled upon the Ace Discount Glass & Door website and gave them a call. After telling them what I was needing, they invited me in immediately to have my repair done. My daughter and I headed that way. We were greeted with friendly and confident personnel who made us feel at home in their cozy and warm waiting room. Within about 20 minutes, we were all taken care of. They even vacuumed all the shattered glass from the inside of the car! On a day that could easily be looked back upon as a generally cold, dreary, and crummy day, the folks at Ace helped to shine a light of warmth and friendliness into their already superb level of skill and expertise. Just got back from getting a small rock-chip repaired in my windshield. They were friendly, the repair guy did a good job, was fast (took about 20 minutes) and even let me watch and explained the process to me since I asked. I knew it wouldnt disappear, but it is even a little less visible than before.

ACE is located on Spicewood Springs Road a little less than a mile west of 360/Capital of Texas Hwy in Austin, TX. The drive is nice with the Bull Creek greenbelt beside you. Heading West, ACE will be the first place youll see on the right. Watch out for bold bicyclists!I found them by calling around, and they were the first people to just talk straight with me. The issue was obvious, and they were ready to do it for a great price. The office is no frills but the folks there were friendly and it was all done right, no fuss. They deserve repeat business. Hope I dont need them again too soon.

Just had my suv windshield replaced and the staff is great. The price was also lower than the big name guys and was quickly installed while I had the opportunity to meet the employees and talk to everyone.

Roy and his team were great. They replaced my side view mirror and fixed the window up/down switches on my car (installed for free). Out of luck I decided to go with ACE discount glass service just to save money before it is much more affordable compared to others out there or the one referred by my insurance company. I have to pay out of pocket anyway. ACE provided simple quote on the phone. It is convenience because it is so close to my house. And I was in for a surprise, the service was quick, and clean and done professionally. Customer service is simple but very nice, no fancy coffee machine in waiting room or any of that but the gentleman helping me was so courteous. I was given instruction carefully when it was done. I would refer this service to all my friends if they ask me.

I had my French doors broken double paned glass (size= 23+ inches x 66+ inches) replaced by Steve Bowen at ACE Discount Glass.Steve had provided me an excellent service (listed below) which met my customer satisfaction.- He was punctual on his appointments,- He made a correct assessment on the glass that it can be replaced (versus other repairman said that I need to replace the entire door),- He provided me an affordable price (compared to others),- He and his helper took time to carefully remove the broken glass, to install the new one, to add the new wooden trim and caulk.- He and his helper cleaned throughout after they completed the job.I highly recommend Steve Bowens service to everyone who may need a glass service now or in the future.

They came out to measure but never gave me a quote. 2 days after I called to ask for the price they sent me one by email. The window that was 119 inches by 42 inches was going to be $11,400. I replied and asked them to double check their math. I never heard back. Im going to find another company and start over. Ive had good luck with ACE for auto glass for the last 15 years but I think they are to be avoided when it comes to residential windows.

I needed a basic 28 x 36 piece of 3/8 glass for a coffee table I was making and needed it on short notice. I tried the big guys and they couldnt get me anything for 4-5 days. Best prices and the work was top notch. I called for an estimate to replace my car windshield in the morning and took it in right away. I was greeted outside before I had a chance to go in and they knew who I was! When the job was completed the owner went over some care instructions. It had a family atmosphere and I highly recommend them. Other quotes I received were $70-$225 higher!

I called several place and this place was 75.00 under the lowest quote. We showed and they already had the replacement front wind shield out and was cleaning it. 30 minutes later I was driving home. They even knew the proper way to safely remove my toll sticker and put it on the new window. I will recommend this place to all.
