Average beverages that come in flimsy plastic cups and awful plastic straws—all probably bought from Smart & Final. If you’re going to charge me $5+ for a coffee beverage the least you could do is put it in a better quality or eco friendly cup. Your liquid to ice ratio is off-I ordered a frozen beverage, when it was handed to me it was already liquid. We also ordered toasted bagels that were mostly just warmed instead of toasted. I wanted to at least point out that the customer service was nice, but I can’t even do that— the cashier started off nice by handing my dog a treat but he then proceeded to tell me that my dog was overweight—sir I have a Husky Malamute mix, he is simply a big boy. Body-shaming, in this economy?

Coffee, food, ice cream, indoor and outdoor seating, great service, nice environment. Definately give this hidden gem a try.

Stopped in to get some coffee to go.they have a nice front patio and the people that run the business are very nice and chatty. Coffee was a fair price and plenty of parking all around

The cheddar bagel was toasted perfectly. Our drinks were delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. We had a fun chat with the owners, and Rocket showed us his tricks! We enjoyed the view of the Sunken Gardens while sipping our drinks. The whole experience was relaxing. This would be a great place to bring out of town guests. Note that it is wheelchair accessible, including the clean bathroom. Its great to support a local Mom & Pop business, and this is a very tasty and fun way to Keep It Local. I will be back!

Family owned. Outdoor dining adjacent to s picturesque park. Great service and convenient hours. Our special drink is Mocha Latte and we can call ahead and pre pay.

Great products and wonderfully friendly service. The man that owns the place is always hospitable and the lady is so kind. I have always gotten just regular coffee but most recently, Ive decided to branch out a bit and tried the Chai Latte. Its now my favorite. The bagels, scones, and muffins are fab. Breakfast burritos are great as well. There is a lot of good to be said about local businesses when the owners are there making sure that everything is done just right. Malibu Brew epitomizes a well run local business that cares about their customers.

First we were the only customers during a pandemic wearing masks including the attendants preparing the food. Not smart that we ordered anyway but we were on a long road trip and stopped for gas, beverages and bathroom. Gave our order. I clearly asked for a vanilla latte only to receive a regular one. Its possible the woman didnt hear me properly as she asked several times for me to repeat what I was saying due to the mask. When my husband returned to ask her to add the vanilla she argued with him that I didnt ask for it. Really? Who does that? The gentlemen was pleasant though as well as the other beverages.

Owners are very community-centered. Its a great place for our youth to get to stop in and hang out with each other in a healthy social environment right near their schools. Owner hooked up my little boy (w special needs) with a little extra ice cream today :-)

Strawberry smoothie... Bomb! Elvis special ice cream could have been great but I was at the bottom of the ice cream carton so I didnt really taste the peanut butter. I was hoping he would have opened a new one for me but I guess not. Thats why I didnt give 5 stars. Had he opened a new carton hed earned his 5 but he didnt.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. Even when they are extremely busy they always complete your orders quickly, and have even let me get my order again without any extra charge after someone else took it.

Nostalgic place from my high school days. Awesome smoothies, good breakfasts, bagels with the most cream cheese you can fit on a bagel. Great breakfast burritos in a cool, chill place.

Have been coming to Malibu Brew Coffee for some time now. Owners are Awesome! Friendly and helpful.Now that they are at their new location next to Century 21 they have more room to sit. They also serve burritos, bagels, and Doc Burnsteins ice cream.If you havent been you need to stop by.

Great place for mornings and good coffee plus treat. Parking is GREAT! Good parking is rare now a days. Like afternoons in their yard enjoying coffee and snack and love the cats that are fixed now. Too bad this area will be bulldozed, with new places and NO PARKING. Probably will loose some of the great little shops like this with the new rents.

Love this spot. The drinks are really good and personally better taste and quality than two other nearby coffee shops that shall remain nameless, also the scones are so melt in your mouth that you have to get at least one. Service excellent, respectful, and fast. Great menu all around.

Im not really a coffee drinker but my daughter loves the beverages here. The owners are super nice and helpful. For me its all about the Doc Burnsteins ice cream. For some reason ice cream shops cant seem to make it in Atascadero. Hopefully Malibu will be around for a long time.

It was a great place until the City of Atascadero decided to mow it over to make room for a new plaza that should have included one of our Towns favorite coffee places. All this town needs is more failing retail businesses to replace the existing successful ones.

This family run coffee shop is all heart. Great home made scones and breakfast burritos. Looks a bit sketchy from the outside, but the friendliness of the husband and wife team more than compensates. Have drive up service as well.
