Enormous Goodwill always has treasures to be found. Make sure you make time to find your golden prize. It is just a very large Goodwill.I am grateful to the wise manager who removed Marty from this store. Marty was always harassing customers and looked like he had a bad case of shingles hiding under his filthy mask. Apparently, he has been spotted at the Weaverville location where his temperament is being suppressed by the sweet old ladies who rightfully scold him for being a micro-tyrant.Kudos to the manager who knew what to do with this guy! Thank you, Goodwill, for the many fine treasures. We will keep bringing our stuff.

The store off of Patten Road in Asheville, NC is not worth your time. The STAFF is completely hateful, doesnt want customers in the store. One black lady at the books said dont you see me working as I looked at the books. I walked away and then some white girl didnt know the states rules on things. This store is rude, unhelpful, and Im expressing that you find a Goodwill somewhere else expect the one off of Patten Road off exit 44 in Asheville, NC.

I love going to Goodwill And finding things that I have been wanting but just dont want to spend that much money for. I go to the outlet a lot and so the stuff at Goodwill is even reduced more its by weight. The one negative thing I could say is that theres a gentleman thats always working there and he yells. Hell yell and tell people you got to put your mask 😷on your face cover your mouth and nose.I understand that this is the rule but I do not believe that he needs to yell . When he could just go up to the person and politely tell him in a normal voice of your mouth and nose with your mask or you will have to leave.Goodwill is supposed to be training people for gainful employment. I think they probably need to go back and look at a few and say okay lets back up and try our manners. So if you ever go to the outlet and that mans yelling you cant say I didnt warn you.🤕

Pricing is outrageous giving the fact that goodwills merchandise is 💯% no charge for them. I can understand they have to charge something so to make any profit and pay the help but of all the junk in there Ive never seen anything priced less than$1 and that being for something that should be given away. And these transfer trailers sitting here and there if you know someone you can get anything you want for nothing, I however cant even buy of of them. I know that goodwill has a great cause and Im not trying to knock them too bad. But my phone continues to ask for my review so Im giving in with hopes of being heard. Oh and before I forget the clothing could stand to be half of what its priced at and still theyd be the ones coming out to the good.. the only way I shop goodwill anymore is the outlet I cant afford the store🥺

Your pretty standard Goodwill experience; lots and lots of unorganized junk with the occasional AwEsOmE treasure. The layout of this location is cooler than most; its some sort of hub as it has a Retail Store, a Bulk/Buy By The Pound Store and a fairly massive vocational training and Job Source facility all in one complex so you get a small hint of architectural pizzazz as opposed to the traditional strip mall unit that has been gutted then filled with stuff on broken, secondhand shelving with NO attempt at decorum or visual appeal. The bulk store experience is not going to be for everyone... I can picture my mother, for example, being totally disgusted by the whole thing as it is literally 9X4 troughs of ... even the word stuff isnt vague enough to capture the randomness and lack of order or concern for the integrity the items but you will understand when you see it. As close as you can get to stealing as far as prices go. Sometimes as low as 25 or even 15 cents per pound of clothing sonic you are looking for rock bottom prices with an equally valued shopping experience this is your place!

The employees working in this store were extreemly rude from the moment we entered till the moment we left. They sell most items there for $1.49 per pound. So they have good prices and alot to choose from but everything they have is in these hige bins that you have to dig through while their rude employees stand around and scream at you about the face mask not covering your nose properly then they turn to other customers and fellow employees commenting on your ignorance and innabilty to wear a face mask correctly! Someone should let them know of their ignorance as well by letting them know that certain people are not requires by law to wear face masks do to respiratory problems and other medical conditions. They had no carts to put anything in I was purchasing and i was not able to find anything i actually came in the store for. If i could make their rating a negative 5 thats what it would be. A dirty unorganized store with rude employees. BOO TO YOU GOODWILL.

The retail store had some good finds. Some of the prices seemed a little higher than I expected, but was still able to purchase a couple of small items. All of the employees were very nice, but, not very knowledgeable about specific items which can usually be found at any Goodwill (ie. Metal bedframes). The Outlet store was confusing, disorganized, and depressing. No items were marked with prices and when I enquired, I was told that everything was sold by the pound. Huge bins of merchandise were full of mixed items that didnt appear to be clean. Shoppers were digging through the bins in what appeared to be a desparate search for items genuinely needed.I left feeling grateful for what I do have.On the way out I passed an elderly gentleman admiring a pair of leather shoes that he seemed proud to have found.

The warehouse is amazing, I have gotten some great deals and I like exploring. The prices are fair but not great. Personally the games are always cheap which is great as someone who buys a lot of them. The one downfall is the customer service on both the warehouse side and in the store. On more than one occasion I have came in and had to ask multiple people for an answer. The last time I was in one person who was wearing a vest said “I don’t work here” and continued to work and then went to the back room. I then asked someone who was stocking books if the could help me and the pointed to the direction. I had to insist that they showed me the sign and even then they did not support me in finding the price. It wasn’t until my third person did I get an answer to my question.Overall I would say about 7/10 times it’s a good experience; but the times that it is not - it can be very frustrating.

Nice clean store. Most of the items here are clothes.Goodwill is a private for profit corporation. It provides jobs and training to its employees. It also provides inexpensive items to people who could not otherwise afford them. Donations help keep their costs down and they seem to pass this lower cost in the form of low prices for what they sell. They are able to organize their store in a professional manner and keep it neat and clean.

I went to the Goodwill Clearance portion of the store in Asheville yesterday and was holding my sleeping 1 year old son and a worker told me I had to wear a mask to come in so I go to my car and get one and go in. Then I am approached by another worker saying if my son doesn’t wear a mask I can’t be in there! He’s ONE. Children under two are not supposed to wear masks and it makes no since that he has to wear a mask to look at a bunch of stuff in bins but you can go to the other Retail side And not have to wear one at all!

In case you havent heard, Goodwill is so much more than a clothing store. I love shopping at goodwill to find great (gently used) items to fill my wardrobe and home, but did you also know about the great things they are doing in the local community? What a great mission they have to equip other with the training and skills they need to better themselves for the workforce! and the hard work they do to connect employers to job seekers is truly non-profit and so beneficial to Western NC communities they support.

If youre okay with supporting a company that funds Corrections Corporation of America (a really horrible private prison company) then go ahead and shop here. Or if youre cool with it being a place where only ten cents on the dollar that is donated actually goes to the good causes they support. Dont have any thoughts you are contributing to a good cause because its a facade. The prices are mediocre and often are more expensive than buying new or buying online because whoever prices thinks stuff is worth more than it is.That said if you can find good deals, but mostly if its stuff the pricing person clearly had no clue what it is.

Used to love shopping at goodwill but recently after new management they are pricing items more like a department store than thrift store.( Items you got free I might add). Paying a little extra for an items that are really high end is one thing but paying close to new purchase price is another. All the while still charging the normal price, ( shirts 3.99, shoes 4.29 etc.. for items that are unwearable, destroyed, and or filthy . Now anything worth buying is a “ special Find” and is close to retail price even though it’s used. . The programs they support are wonderful for the community but they need to remember that a lot of low income families, homeless, thrifter, etc.. have come to rely on you for a place they can get items they normally couldn’t afford to purchase retail. The only people who can afford to buy the “ special finds” which is pretty much anything decent now, are the people who can afford to buy it at retail but enjoy bargain hunting. As for the employees at goodwill, most of the people are fantastic couldn’t ask for better. Of course there’s always a few grumps wherever you go. Goodwill remember you are not belk, target or eBay.... you are GOODWILL. Those of you who donate items and itemize on your taxes can claim a lot more for your donated items. Before you calculated “ thrift shop “ pricing on items donated cause they are reselling many items close to what you paid for them.

Like, ok, Ill just go to Target and get it for the same price, or cheaper.Constantly disappointed by quality of goods, and management attitude. Will NOT go to this location again. The experience I had at this Goodwill today was terrible. I found a rug that didn’t have a clear price on it, so I requested assistance from one of the associates. A woman came from the back and priced the rug at $25. I proceeded up front to check out and I was told that the price tag was incorrect (after I had just had it priced by a Goodwill associate). So, I was then told to follow the cashier to the back and point out the women who priced the rug. One of the managers then comes and tells me that the rug is actually $100. Personally, $100 is way too expensive for a rug that was in pretty used condition.. I believe since it was a mistake on their part, they could have let me have the original price I was given. I love Goodwill! Just wanted that first since the rest of my review will not be positive. They are a great charity and typically have well maintained stores and reasonably priced used goods. This location however has constantly been a disappointment as they have crazy high prices and most of the merchandise is damaged beyond repair. In addition, there are numerous locked cabinets containing merchandise such as video games, electronics, and other higher end goods. This presents a problem for a shopper when it is quite difficult to find an employee on a weekend, much less one with the proper key. Shame, since on many occasions I have spotted something I was keen to purchase only to be thwarted by an impenetrable glass barrier.
