Love the store front but upon entering there was an extremely strong scent that triggered my asthma. Instead of the brown haired sales lady asking if I were ok she rudly excused me from her store. Bad 👎 experience overall.

Beautiful, vibrant clothing and an excellent staff, coupled with the perfect downtown Asheville location. These ladies really know their stuff and I always love coming into the store!

I am a long time Ad-Lib customer and their safety protocol is paramount and the best of any downtown Asheville store. Thank you ladies for keeping us safe and for your amazing customer service. Your online store is a pleasure but I still like in-person retail therapy and its safe to shop at Ad-Lib.

Recently, family and I spent time in Asheville. Ad-Lib became my favorite store. Anne and Katherine are just lovely people keeping the customers shopping experience healthy and happy. Their attention to detail in terms of making sure clothing is fresh for the try-on and to the customer in general is just wonderful. They are there to help when needed and back away when they know you are contemplating a purchase. (So unusual these days) Also, being a scooter riding person, they were able to accommodate my travel scooter with no problem or prejudice. Heres to many more trips to Asheville and Ad-Lib.

I have been an avid AdLib fan for over 15 years.....many years before I moved to Asheville, while I lived there, and still after moving away. It is amazing how one store can transcend time and all the challenges it has presents. 2020 has been a tough year and the amazing women of Ad Lib have navigated the rough waters beautifully....from the quality and selection of their clothing to the incredible customer service and to the measures they have gone to keeping us all safe it is not just a store but a wonderful shopping experience! I travel a lot and check out those experiences in many places....nothing compares! So I just save my money and spend it all at AdLib.

I have been a long time patron of AdLib, more years than I can count! My husband and I Love this part of Our trips to Asheville! The ladies of AdLib are always courteous, attentive and helpful with putting together great outfits. I appreciate their honesty! Like every other business that is trying to survive and stay open I understand the process we are all having to navigate thru and me doing my part to help them stay open is worth the 30 seconds that it took. I’ve also enjoyed the new option of their online shop! It’s a way to still support them from afar when travel is not an option, while at the same time keeping everyone healthy. I get it! I don’t like the not knowing what each state, city, business is requiring but I don’t want to make any business suffer for trying to survive! Right or Wrong “ This too shall pass” .I’m going to base my decision to return on a past relationship experience so ..... ladies I’ll be back!

Wonderful selections

I visit this lovely store everytime we are in Asheville. My previous visit was in August when I spent several hundred dollars as as usually do. In fact I was wearing an outfit I purchased previously at this store. This weeks visit however was awful. The staff was overly rude and impatient. I have Never felt so unwelcomed anywhere. Our group then went on to Topps shoes and had a delightful experience. In a city where love signs abound dont expect any at Adlib.

Over the years, I have always enjoyed shopping at this store, and I have made many, many purchases. Yesterday, due to the absolute rudeness of an employee, I did not make a purchase, and in fact, may never again shop in this store. While we are all being careful, in this time of Covid, I feel that taking my temperature, forcing me to wear latex gloves, telling me to not take off my mask or gloves in the dressing room, and chasing me down after leaving the dressing room because I did not want to purchase the items that I tried on, was absolutely unnecessary and was a deal-breaker for me. On top of that, the friend I was shopping with actually made a purchase and was berated at the checkout (which was behind a plastic wall) for the mask she was wearing, because the sales person did not think it was effective enough. What has happened to customer service? When is it ever acceptable to treat customers with disrespect? Your store entrance policy is way over the top, your sales staff is rude, and I, for one, will not be back.After reading the owner’s response to my review, I note that it was lacking any mention of the employee’s overt rudeness. Yes, your store Covid protocols are way more than most stores are requiring, and we complied without complaint, but it was the very rude way in which we were treated that will keep us from returning.

First trip to Asheville, I shopped around the city and thought the customers service was excellent until we stopped here. These days, I would try extra hard to welcome customers in my business!

Absolutely my favorite clothing store. These women know their stuff. And there are always some items marked down. Special birthday discount. Go there!! Fast!

I have shopped their several times and bought wonderful items. The staff is very helpful and very honest about fit, style, and color.... both positive and negative assessments! That is great for getting return customers like me. I recently went in to return a sweater that had stretched out and become misshapen. I was delighted with the positive response and the speed with which they accepted the return. Only 5 stars available but I would give AdLib 10! **********

This is my absolute favorite clothing store in Asheville! Their stock of artsy and interesting clothing changes constantly and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Their style of fashion is beautiful, causal, and comfortable, with lots of cotton and linen. There is always something on sale and, if you sign up for their mailing list, you get 25% off an item of your choosing for your birthday every year. They also carry beautiful Meruca tapestry purses and cool jewelry. A very eclectic store with unusual offerings.

Most unfriendly place in Asheville. Staff never spoke to me and we were in the store for half hour!I would have given the inventory and design of the shop a 4 but these women are too haughty for me.Btw, we are were well dressed women in our 50’s with money to spend and left with nothing.I’m not begging anyone to sell me anything!!

The proprietors were about as rude as people can get. We will never shop there again and we will encourage people to avoid this store. They Really don’t care if you’re there so you shouldn’t be there. Period.

Art music in the street...bring cash much to see do and buy!
