This is my favorite place to buy spices and seasonings for sure. Well stocked and organized and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything has always been fresh and high quality that Ive bought here, which definitely makes a big difference when cooking. The Arvada location in particular is a really nice space. Highly recommended!

Love this place. I especially like how you can buy smaller sized jars of spices. They have a great variety of Chili powder at different heats.

Did an online order for a pretty big collection of stuff. Expected it would take a few days. They were done in an hour. Super nice good working there, quick and efficient.

We live out of Denver and so we found this Penzeys on Google maps. Getting to the store was very easy taking Old Wadsworth all the way down till it ends. Parking was good and it was a short walk. They had everything we needed. Penzeys sale person was very friendly and knowledgeable of our needs. Wish we had a store in our town. Best spices around.

Penzeys Spices in Old Town Arvada is amazing. They have an array of spices with lots of choices and excellent options if you have to stay away from salt. Each week they have amazing deals and they offer every spice in a variety of sizes to fit your budget or to just try something different.

Extremely unwelcoming. Extremely unhelpful. Huffy, frightened and rude staff. I wanted to shop with face covering and normal precautions but this business is stuck in May 2020. Unreasonable protocols. Penzys is all but closed. You have to jump through hoops in order to buy spices. No way. Frustrating. I’ll just go to natural grocers bulk section.

I love Penzeys. They make ordering and pick up easy. We still arent loved in due to spacing requirements but if you know what you want, order ahead and they have it ready when you get there. Very helpful when you call.

I bought spices and picked them up at the store rather than have them shipped. The street is blocked off in front of the store. They are not open for shopping,just for product pick up.

Very disappointed, They did not answer their phon Emaiing them without creating log in and password was impossible as was texting.

This place has everything and anything you want. As soon as you walk in you smell sweetness and spices if all of the spices that they have. I recommend highly.

I dont live near Penzeys. When Im in the area, I try to stop in and stock up. Tried this yesterday to see theyre only doing curbside. So, zero chance of an impulse, Im in the area and have a few minutes to pop-in and stock up. I didnt have time to call in an order while Im standing at their front door. Sorry - lost my spice business. Used to be great. Now, not so much.Update: I went online to place an order, thought Id give Penzeys one more chance. This time they forced their political beliefs on me before I could check out. Done with them forever.

I drove up from Lakewood today to find a sign on the door saying they weren’t accepting walk ins. Totally bummed I went back to the truck. I decided to call them to ash how to get my spices I think his name is John. Awesome guy. Don’t know if he’s the owner or an employee but I was blown away by his actions. He told Me that they were only taking online orders and we’re closed to walkins because of the overwhelming online orders they received. He asked if I was still nearby and I was he said he would process my order over the phone and I can come pick it right up I called out 10 different ingredients and he pulled them I walked around the corner he met me at the door and I had my order $71 worth of spices you guys rock

Very friendly and helpful staff. If youre not familiar with Penzeys they have really high quality spices. I particularly like all of the spice blends that they offer.

If you havent shopped here, you need to start. Such a great store with recipe ideas everywhere. The staff is so fun to talk with and very knowledgeable. Prices are not bad for the high quality. And if you get their emails, you get amazing coupon deals. One of my favorite places.

This was a fun place to visit - I went looking for a secret santa gift and was not disappointed, I found exactly what I was looking for: a gift box of a variety of spice rubs intended for grilling. It was awesome to get to see the same spice rubs out for sale individually with smell me jars so I had a good idea of what was in the gift box and that it would be great. There was a free promo to get an item for myself too! Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend to folks who love to cook, or who know someone that does

Best spice store I have ever been to. The fragrances hit you when you open the doors. So many varieties of herbs and spices to smell.Excellent prices - better value than most supermarket chains. I am currently addicted to the Cinnamon sugar, and the Spicy Salt. I add the cinnamon sugar to my coffee and the salt to everything else =] I have never enjoyed cooking more than i do now and with all of the spices Penzeys offers you are bound to create and cook something amazing. I swear, my chicken has never tasted better, and i make amazing marinara sauce with the Italian herbs. I also buy herbs here to make homemade herbal tea, My favorites are the sage and spearmint. At 28 years old, i now have a designated Penzeys cabinet - I recommend everyone else start one! needless to say, Penzeys has definitely spiced up my life. =]

Penzeys offers most any common spice you could think of, with a wide variety of choices even amoungst individual spices. They come with helpful tips on how & when to use them. Only visited once to get some grains of paradise. Unfortunately they do not carry that spice. There is a large variety of spices so if you are looking for more unusual or hard to find, they may have them.

First time and it was awesome. The cashier informed me of the promo and even allowed me to use it even though I didnt physically have the coupon. Huge variety with samples and detailed descriptions so you know exactly what youre getting.

The northwoods seasoning that they were practically giving away for 1 dollar an oz (much less than my normal oz purchases) is an incredibly versatile and delicious seasoning. Ive also found my now go-to salt-less vegetable seasoning - Sunny Paris - which has a great peppery punch and delicious dill tang. Great for maintaining that low sodium while instilling wonderful flavor. My favorite use for it is probably on some green beans with almond slivers and some olive oil. Overall great store, friendly staff, but have an idea of what you want if youre not ready to go in and ask for help, or be overwhelmed by the great selection of exotic cooking blends, herbs and spices.

They have wonderful coupons and thats the best time to take advantage of their prices and their product. it is just sad that you have to receive emails from the angry one-sided owner of the company in order to receive any coupons. Great selection and amazing freshness and quality, but very expensive spices and blends. I go there to get spices for my homemade chai. They have tons of types of peppers, which is cool, and everything is very easy to find. During the winter season they also have lots of mulling spice mixes, yum yum.

Especially good is the Mosaic of Flavor mix especially on potatoes.

They have every spice I need and they are all fairly fresh. It can be a little on the expensive side but thats what you pay for quality. Sad that so many of the other locations have closed but I end up driving all the way out here from Aurora because nothing in my area comes close.

I love Panzeys Spices. The spices add just the right flavor to everything. This has allowed making dietary restrictions not seem like Im missing out. I look forward to visiting every time I go.However, I am very tired of the horrible service I get in Old Town. The staff is only interested in getting me to pay at the checkout counter. Other than that, they dont offer me help, service, or try to assist me with ideas.This last trip (July 2013) was the kicker. I came at 5:40 with a list of spices knowing they were closing at six. I rushed around to get it all and was rudely addressed by the two staff members there. They sat at the register with pursed lips staring at me the whole time. Fifteen minutes is enough time to shop for me as I was a regular.At one point, the lady grabbed my shopping basket while it was on my arm and tried to pull me to the register! I told her to stop and to give me a moment. She said, Well let me just take it so I can ring it up as you shop. It took her three minutes to let go of the basket and let me continue. It actually left marks on my arm that took hours to fade away.I dont know how I kept my calm, but this left a mark that will never go away. I love Penzeys, but after this consistent poor treatment I will be trying Savory Spice. Sorry.

If you need spices, come to Penzeys. Some of the stuff is more expensive, but overall you get better spices that are more flavorful, fresher, and just better than what you get at the grocery store.They also have a wide variety of spices youve never seen before, their own blends for BBQ rubs, curry powders of every type imaginable, all the baking supplies you need... I can wander around Penzeys for a solid hour without getting bored and it isnt *that* big of a store.

Penzeys Spices is the most magical spice shop I have ever set foot into. Their spices are fragrant, sweetly packaged and fully sniffable ;) The variety is wild and the prices are absolutely fair and affordable. I will be coming here regularly. Try the Pico Fruta on some fresh heirloom tomatoes you can grab at the farmers market nearby for a wonderful snack. Don’t miss this gem when you’re in Arvada!
