The best car buying experience I have ever had, and I have purchased at least 10 cars from dealerships. Eric and Charles made the whole experience so easy. I asked for their best price, and from the very first message they were hands down the best deal for miles. Very upfront with all the costs and options. Did the majority of the work over email and text. Came in for the final paperwork and everything was exactly as they said with zero surprises. So refreshing, and had me in the car in less than 45 minutes! Fastest ever! Will absolutely come to them again for future purchases. Top notch all around.

Our C-Max was completely dead every time the car was switched off so I reached out to Mullahey to get it fixed as we are new to the area. Richard in Service was extremely helpful and got us scheduled to take care of the issue. Everything went well until we picked up the car after being told it was ready to go and found out our trunk hatch battery access was still entirely disassembled when we tried to put groceries in the back after stopping at the store on the way home. Not sure how you can allow a car to leave without being put back together. Wifes score is a zero, Im giving two because Richard was such a pleasure to work with.

We traded-in our vehicle during the process and feel like we got a fair price for our trade in and for our new F150.Our saleserson, Pedro was great to work with, bilingual which was a plus. He was extremely patient and helped us with trade in and get a good price for our new vehicle. We told him what we wanted and he made it possible. Overall, it was a smooth, easy and stress-free experience.

Not selling vehicles at MSRP and instead is marking them up

Tried to hustle with the bronco reservations they told us we wouldnt get our bronco for over a year since we reserved it dead last out of 16 people according to them. Then we switched our reservation to a dealership recommended to us by a friend and out of 85 people we were 3rd and now we are getting it by the summer. Shady stuff mullahey ford...

One of the best Ford dealerships on the central coast! I drive from Santa Maria to see Charles every few years for a new vehicle. They do what they can within reason, and I don’t feel like I’m being ripped off. If I lived closer I’d use them for service too, but out of convenience I take it to SM Ford. Would NEVER buy from SM Ford and don’t really care for the service department either so much, but it’s Ford and I want all my service records at a Ford dealership. I just recently left the SM Ford feeling irritated. I got up, and decided I’ll be going back to Charles at Mullahey and there is a reason why I keep driving down there to buy my vehicles. They don’t mess around and DONT make me feel like I got the bad end of the stick. See you soon!! :)

Purchased a vehicle, left the lot happy because I got a deal that I was happy with. Next day I got a phone call & was pretty much told that they needed me to give a $1000 down payment & if I couldn’t that I could take the vehicle back. Didn’t want to give a down payment initially for financial reasons but ended up being able to get the money for it. Less than 2 months after the purchase date started having issues with the vehicle where the engine light came on & had to get the car towed to Mullahey. Thankful I purchased a power train warranty & another added warranty. It was covered under warranty thankfully just had to cover the deductible for the warranty. Talked to someone from the finance department addressing the issue & seeing if they could help out in any way to cover the deductible being how the whole situation played out. Not to mention that I had talked to my initial salesman & he told me that he’d see what he could do being that they are always open to maintaining their customers happy & being that I just purchased the vehicle. It’s not the amount, it’s the principle behind it. The cars supposedly go through a multi inspection & being that I recently purchased the vehicle I just expected more. The guy from the finance department did not only show much interest to what I was telling him but was also disrespectful.

We just bought a fun Ford Flex from this dealership. We worked with Micheal Tito and HIGHLY recommend him and the dealership! We went to the place looking at another van that clearly was not the one for us right as we saw it. He directed us to something in our price range that had tons of safely features and perfect for our family of 5. He wasnt pushy and was super professional and easy to work with. We didnt have to wait too long to fill out everything and pay for it. They are definitely competitive with their prices. Its not a big place, but that helped to not feel overwhelmed with all the crazy options that are out there now. Thanks guys!

Did not have a good experience. Although, they were very accommodating with the test driving experience. However, when it came time to make a deal I ended up with an offer much more than originally discussed. I did not buy from them, I went elsewhere and bought the same car for much cheaper.

This is a difficult review to write because my experience purchasing my vehicle at Mullahey Ford was fantastic!However, I have only had the car a little over a year and have had multiple problems with tire pressure. In the year since I have had this car, I have had to take it in to have one tire patched. Another tire had to be completely replaced, due to a nail in the tire. I get that this was not a result of Mullahey Ford, but I am now receiving the Low Tire Pressure warning AGAIN! I filled two tires with air two days ago and had to again this morning.I did not have these types of issues with the previous Ford Escape purchased from Vista Ford of Oxnard. I had that car for five years before having to take it in for regular maintenance. I then had it another four years with no tire problems.What I am starting to believe is the case here is that Mullahey Ford must have sold me this car with cheap, or possibly compromised, tires. Otherwise, why am I having so many issues with tire pressure within the first year of having this vehicle?!?I purchased this vehicle because I am a single working mom and I needed a reliable vehicle, both for work and to transport my son to school and sports activities. But I dont feel this car is reliable. I have experienced so much stress over the tire issues.I just want a car that I can rely on. And, I would hope Mullahey Ford would want to sell cars that they would feel comfortable selling to their own families!

Might be the best car buying experience I have had. Charles (internet sales) gave me an excellent price on a (used) car. The car was exactly as described by their site. Charles was nice to work with in person, everyone else I dealt with were very helpful too. The finance guy was great, he was QUICK. He offered a few products, when I declined he didnt pressure me in any way. Best part of the whole process...after test driving the car and confirming I wanted it, I was out of there in about 30 minutes.

Mullahey Ford has the BEST service department in the area, with excellent employees like Bronson Grace. However, the sales department is not even close. As an example, I did, indeed, look at a used Ford Escape, last week. Today I received an email from Mullahey asking how I am enjoying my Escape and thanking me for the purchase.I did not buy the Escape. I man named Carl did, as he was the addressee of the letter, sent to my email address.The Sales Manager might do better with some computer lessons.

I just wanted to thank Richard in the service department, I’ve dealt with him on a number of occasions and he’s always not only helpful but very kind. I honestly don’t know much about cars and he’s always patient and explains things so I understand and I’ve never felt like he’s tried to take advantage of my ignorance in the industry.

I bought a used car for my wife here a year ago. The experience was amazing. The other Ford dealer downtown sold the car we wanted. So I called Chuck the online manager & he matched their price plus it was a newer model with lower miles. I got the financing I wanted with my credit union & we loved it. So I was in the market for a new commuter vehicle for myself. Couldnt qualify for the low lease I wanted because of my credit but they found a practically new preowned 2015 with low miles that was pretty close to what I needed. I even got a better extended warranty than a new vehicle on it & a bonus free service plan thrown in to the deal by the finance guy. Got a great price for only a few bucks more which met all my needs. All in all it was an easy car buying experience without a lot of pressure. Glad I went back to them. I love the new car I got & enjoyed dealing with them. I will definitely be back the next time I need another vehicle. I would highly recommend them & very much appreciate the great service I received.

Bought my Ford Focus from Gil - a REALLY nice salesperson and very accommodating. Was able to settle on a price we both agreed on. The only problem was waiting for the financing/processing department to process the sale (even though it was cash, I had to wait for 4 more people that were in line before me) - took about 2 hours or so just waiting in the office. Other than that, everyone was very cool and nice to deal with!

That was taken care of by the helpful staff at TrailerHitch RV and the parts were delivered to Mullahey Ford for installation. The connection between both companies was seamless. In addition to Rory at Mullahey going above and beyond in repairing my travel trailer, he helped us with acquiring accommodations when the work required one extra day. I wanted it done correctly and was happy to stay an extra day to make sure that happened. The installation was carefully completed with exceptional care to details. Each measurement was done three times before parts were installed. I was informed of each step as it occurred and never felt left in the dark about the procedures. I will always bring the travel trailer to Mullahey Ford and in fact, will be returning for regular maintenance as suggested. Please give yourself a break and go to the best RV repair place I have ever seen.

This places service department and Bronson are great! I was traveling when my Ford truck developed an issue. After calling several Ford dealer around San Louis and being told that they were too busy for my problem I called Mullahey Ford. I spoke with Branson in service explaining my situation, he explained that the were booked but he would ask a tech if he would help, the tech told him for me to come in. I was taken care of within an hour and back on the road thanks to two people that know what customer service is! Thank you both.

We bought our used Honda Accord here and have never had a problem. We take it in for service every 3 months (oil change) and the service department has always been nice. I have never had a problem with the staff, even when I tell them Im just looking & Im not going to buy! They dont try and hassle me like other car dealerships. I recommend Mullahey to all my friends, and I know at least 4 who have bought a car here.

I never felt pressured to buy something I didnt want and they listened to me wants/needs.The sales management and finance team are very diligent and I was happy with how well they clearly communicated what was needed.In addition to purchasing cars I have been having my cars serviced there. The service and maintenance are always done in a timely manner and my car always runs a bit better after service :)

Seriously never going back again! Bad communication. Bought a car, signed papers, told us what place was going to finance us, put our down payment and traded in our old car. I checked my credit 3 days after getting the car to find out that they were still running my credit. Called and asked why, for them to only tell me that the first place that financed us dropped out because we havent been at our job for a year. When we even told them we were new to our job but they told us as long as our credit was above 650 it shouldnt matter. They then told us to buy the car outright OR return it and they would give us our deposit and try to get us our old car back. When were they going to tell us this?! If I wouldnt have called would they have told me?! Or would it have been too late to where I would have to buy the car all at once? I had a bad feeling when I was first there, should have trusted my gut feeling.

Rich and Bronson get me in on short notice every time. They coordinated with the body shop to fix a random leak on my wifes brand new Explorer. Great service. Recommend Mullahey to everyone!!!

Bought a used 2004 BMW, 1 owner with 57k miles, and got a great deal with no pressure or haggling. The next day we took the car on a road trip and an unforeseen problem arose with the fuel pump a 120 miles down the road. I called Mullahey from the side of the road and Ron the manager answered. He immediately had a tow truck sent to bring the car all the way back and also paid for a rental car so that we could finish our trip. Amazing! The service department worked very hard to diagnose the problem and fix my car. I know the cost of this type of service, from a 100 mile tow, to a 3 day one way rental car, not to mention the parts and labor, was not cheap and they were honestly happy to do it for us. You dont get that type of care and service from a used car lot. Thats why any time my family needs a car Mullahey can count on us to come to them first. Actually the new 2016 mustang GT looks pretty BA so maybe Ill see you sooner than later!

Mullahey Ford in Arroyo Grande, Ca. is by far the worst dealership on the Central Coast. I bought a used car from them and within 6 months I had problems with it. My car is a lemon and this dealership does not stand behind their product. I dealt with Greg, who is the sales manager and what a joke he is. He is the definition of a used car salesman. The service dept. is just as bad, the right foot doesnt know what the left foot is doing. The finance manger Rich is very ignorant as well. I work in a very large medical practice on the Central Coast and I have made a vow to inform every patient who walks through my door the horrible experience I had. In fact, I started today. Stay away from Mullahey Ford. Trust me !!!

Ive purchased 2 vehicles new from Mullahey and been servicing vehicles here for about 10 years. Great purchasing experiences and their service is 2nd to none in the county. They have fixed issues Ive had at a dealer in SLO easily and its why I keep coming back. Well worth a 30+ minute drive for me vs the alternative. Some of the newer sales staff isnt the best, but the guys who have been here for years you cant beat.

Bait and switch tactics are used here. Hasnt changed for 20 years. Pushy sales team, online inventory not kept up to date, lack of variety on the lot. Worth while to travel elsewhere for service and price.

Not any difference from other car lots. Basically they act like your best buddy, until they find out you are low-income and/or have less-than-perfect credit. After that, youre pond scum. At least I wasnt treated with the contempt that I was at Santa Maria Mazda a year ago.

One star, had to do that just so it would show up. The car was in for 3 full days (2013 Ford Escape under warranty) The did not fix the safety issue. I needed to pick up the car because I was flying to New Orleans Thursday AM, drop off dog at kennel, shopping, had no car all week. When I went in to pick up, the service guy Steve indicated that there were no codes to figure out what is wrong so he said It is not our fault we cant repair the car there is no code showing up I asked for help with ford, only to be told you can get that number on line Then he told me to take it back to the selling dealer. When he told me to bring the car back next Tuesday, I told him I would not, then he said you are required to bring the car back here because it has an open ticket When I got in the car, Steve said your car is low on fuel Not really low, it was registering on the digital read out ZERO miles left. Called Ford Tuesday and am getting help at Perry in San Luis Obispo.

I expressed interest in a vehicle listed on their website. Two days later they increased the price and told me it was a misprint. They would not run my credit, or even attempt to negotiate. Actually, the sales rep, Charles Holden, just ignored my questions and I had to ask him twice to run my credit so we could come up with an interest rate, down payment, etc.Most businesses honor their pricing, even errors, as a matter of professional ethics and good customer service. Unfortunately, the sales manager, Greg, just yelled at me on the phone for being upset that they would not honor the original price they listed on their website. No, really, YELLED at me. The worst attempted car purchasing experience ever. These guys are text book lazy sleazy car salesman.They should zero professionalism or active participation in making a sales.

Anytime an RV breaks down away from home its pretty tough finding and making all the arangements. A H-U-G-E thanks to Richard in the Service Department for getting our repair completed and normal service items performed. WE GOT HOME just fine and enjoyed many pretty stops along the way but I have to admit hearing the engine fire up each time was a huge relief. THANKS Richard and who ever the mechanic was ! ! The Ford dealership have lists work I g for them I took car in 2 weeks ago they wanted $3000 to do work on car said it was to much went to someone else had it done for $200 then took my car for oil change. Appointments only starting from 7:30 am my appointment was for 9am I got there and the both on fare side had men taking I went to cleark ask how do I tell them Im here for my appointment she sent me back out side I stood for 10-15 min waiting the cleark told the rude guy in 2nd both that his 9am was here .he said it would be a while both lines where full of cars I said why make appointments if you have so meany cars that crazy he said I can get you ride home I said no I dont have all day and if he can hurry ! He said rudely well you can take car and go ? I said no my mom needs her car servest and I dont have all day ! I walk away walk in Waitting room with 2 other men while I was there 3 other men walk in but no where I saw car being moved our car was the last one to go back . even cars beside me .it was 1pm and no car yet I walk to window and gave clerk check for service and said I was done plying games handed check and said I was walking home . they said it was done 20. Min before I left so they said but didnt get car until 3pm and the lies they said I wish I had a camera to prove what liers they are to say I yelled and said bad words to them I was mad but wouldnt you be even people before me where done I was the last one to leave and without car . I only talk to them when I got there and waited all day until 1pm then I talk to cleark said Im done here is check Im done plying games and walk out said Im walking home . thats all they added more and lied that I must have been on drugs come on it take 20- 30 min to change oil I was there at 9am and by appointment only 7:30am they start there was more then 8 cars before me and 4 behind me and mine was taken last at about 10 am or 11am and the last time they said my mom didnt owe anything because the work was gonna cost her way to much $3000 and I said what dose she owe they said nothing it was just a look over what it needed. But cost to much then weeks later send my mom a bill. The changed oil but they told me the same rude guy 2nd window said no charge because car was just estament $3000 for what we paid somewhere else $200 for the job .sad lires I rate them 1-10 -0 poor all the way around should I be mad? What would you do ?

I bought a car here about six months ago, great car at a good price. Charles the internet sales guy was honest and up front throughout. After about a month the stereo bluetooth system started acting a little funny. I brought the car in and Shaggy (service department/ fleet department guy) told me that the part needed was $1200 part that had to be special ordered from Ford. After some pleading Shaggy and Greg (manager) replaced my part for no charge. Ignore these negative reviews from people who are upset about one thing and arent even real customers. These guys are great and have done right by me every time Ive been to them.

I am updating this review to be current with how I now feel about this place. The people there for one are insanely rude. I was there recently and the salesman that I was working with me on a deal was a total snob & had no interest in helping. I literally walked out shortly after. I do not recommend going here.

I thought my last eight Vehicles here and sent lots of my family and friends. You get a good deal theyre nice theyre friendly and they remember you
