Dr. Huber was great, I cant say enough good things about him. Easy to talk to and was happy to answer all my questions. The issue is just getting my prescription so I can get my new glasses. For some reason theyre really struggling with this and now Ill have to wait an additional week.

I have been going to this practice since 2013 and they are fantastic. The staff and doctors really give you individualized attention. I recently had a painful eye problem and they went out of their way to accommodate my needs. (it was even short notice) The office is also updated and modern. They maintain a very clean environment.

I highly recommend NVDO! Theyve been my optometric practice for several years and Ive been very pleased with them. Dr. Doan is my primary optometrist - shes great! - but I have seen several of the other providers in the practice and have been equally well-pleased. I typically use the Crystal City location but have also been seen at their Clarendon location. The expertise of the doctors and the professionalism of the support staff is top-notch and consistent across the locations. Their selection of frames is also a plus. Unlike many places, they actually carry a decent selection of adult frames for petite faces.

I liked this office a lot. Ive never had an eye doctor I genuinely liked and Ive always felt like most front desk glasses people are artificial try to get you to sign your life away in costs. Dr. V truly took the time to not only do her job, but actually care. The visit took time, but it was thorough. Her staff was also nice and considerate and the lady who has worked there for two decades? Is a hoot. Parking in the garage (validated in the office) was pretty easy if you follow the numbers of the various offices as you are driving in. Just remember the elevator or stairwell and floor you are on for later.. I truly recommend this eye doctor and I am highly particular.

Dr Sapho Doan was amazing, smart, polite and answered all my questions! I love the frame choices they had and love the glasses they made. Costs seemed a little high than other places Ive been, I paid 567 after insurance for all the features except blue light filtering. The anti-fog is just a cloth with some material in the fibers which layers on the glass. Parking is underground but free when they validate your ticket.

The best eye care providers in the Metro area. I travel to Virginia (an hours drive) for exams by Doctor Vroustouris and glasses fitted by Miguel. Friendly, caring, and up to date professionals! Youre in good hands with this practice.

Covid protocols in place so I felt safe. Techs were quick and friendly, Doctor was awesome and covered all my concerns. Roy fitted my glasses and took his time to make sure they were perfect. I drive from Dale City to Crystal City because they are awesome!

Doctors here are great. New location looks nice and clean. But if you don’t buy their contacts or glasses, the front desk people won’t release your prescription. You have to keep asking for your prescription. They also put a hold on your insurance so you can’t apply your insurance to buy contacts elsewhere unless you call them to release the hold.Many of the positive reviewers on here are from people with only 1 or 2 reviews. Just saying.

My regular optimist closed. My left eye was really having issues and I really needed help. I feel extremely fortunate to have found this group. The office in Reston couldn’t take me but took the time to get me an appointment at the Crystal City office. Although my first visit was “squeezed” in, I was given time, attention and an accurate diagnosis. The environment of their office was very clean and I felt comfortable with all the precautions taken to keep everyone safe.

I recently went in for an eye exam with Dr. Look. He explained all the things we were doing, and was more than happy to answer my questions regarding my eyes, the examination, and questions I had about potential lasik/PRK surgery. I walked out of our appointment with a new prescription that feels perfect, and more knowledgable about my eyes. Will be back again!

If you want to have a quality eye exam, then you need to schedule with Dr Vroustouris. She really is the best. I have been seeing her for about 19 years and it can be a struggle to get my eyes to cooperate with the same contacts for more than a few months.Dr V is treating my dry eye problem in her words, “aggressively” for the past month or so and they have never felt better. The Opticians do an excellent job of helping you pick out glasses and making sure that you have the proper prescription; that you understand the costs - how much your insurance will cover and, even though I prefer to wear my glasses higher than most, it’s no problem. You can walk into any NoVA Doctors office and you will find upbeat, ready to help, competent staff.If you wear glasses or contacts, you owe it to yourself to make your next appointment here. Dr Vroustouris is just great! She never gave up on me. I have also seen Dr Smithson to learn how to get my eyes to work better together. I will venture to say that you cannot go wrong with any of the Docs at NoVA Doctors of Optometry.

Very professional and friendly. The doctors and staff listened to my concerns, provided excellent service, and didnt try to push anything I wasnt interested in. The cost of contact lenses and eyeglasses is honestly ridiculous, but they were flexible and provided suggestions for better deals. I brought in a pair of Warby Parker glasses that felt like the prescription was off. They checked it and made new, better lenses for those frames at a decent price.

I am a patient of Dr. V but had an urgent emergency need. They got me in with a doctor at another office at noon for a virtual appointment. It was a perfect solution and the doctor was wonderful! Im so thankful.

As usual, Dr. Doan’s eye examination and explanation of results were excellent. Similarly, the technician, Bianca, was very efficient and helpful in conducting the machine tests. The front desk staff were also very efficient in their intake procedure and bill payment process.

Dr. V. has been my go to for years. Shes thorough, honest, creative, and has a good sense of humor. I have no hesitation in recommending her to family and friends.

Always professional and quick. Easy location right off the crystal city metro. Do note, they have an imaging machine they like to use for your optic nerve, this means you dont need to get your eyes dilated but they are often kind of quick about letting you know its an additional $40 charge. Worth it to me to not get dilated but definitely good to know up front as they default to using it.

Their new office in Crystal City is beautiful, very cool and modern looking. Lots of windows and a lot of light. Their staff is always very helpful and accommodating and Dr. Sparrenberger is not only a very knowledgeable optometrist, he has a great sense of humor as well!

My optometrist was extremely nice and helpful, and the women at the reception desk were also pleasant. I had to switch to a new brand of contacts when my brand was discontinued, and they allowed me to test out a new brand before committing to purchasing a whole pack. Overall excellent experience!

I was able to receive a diagnosis and treatment plan for a swollen and irritated eyelid via Zoom. I sent photos taken on my iPhone ahead of the appointment so that the doctor could have a look before I appeared on the screen. I have since had a follow-up with the doctor via Zoom. I am SO grateful that I was able to do this from the safety of my home during this time. Thank you, NVDO, for offering this service to your patients. I highly recommend NVDO to everyone needing care for their eyes, and that means everyone!

Just had my annual visit with Dr. Sparrenberger at the new NVDO location at 1235 South Clark Street in Crystal City. The new location is sparkling and beautiful and Dr. Sparrenberger and his staff were thorough, friendly and very customer-focussed. Parking below the building (validated) was a breeze.

I love this doctors office. Great location. The staff is incredibly friendly. The hours are great, allowing for early morning and later evening appointments. They have a lot of great tech which is nice to experience. I would definitely suggest this location to a friend.

I have complicated eyes that are constantly changing so its really hard to find an eye doctor that actually listens and is patient enough to try different options. The staff is very friendly and their equipment is so up-to-date! I didnt have to have my eyes dilated thanks to this new fancy machine. Id highly recommend this practice to everyone!

Great optometry practice with a long history in Crystal City that relocated in Feb 2020 to a very cool new hip space about two blocks from the Crystal City metro. Great staff, wide selection of glasses, and all the latest equipment and technology. I saw Dr. Sapho Doan who really knows her way around eye balls.

My coworker suggested this office and I am so thankful for his suggestion. The staff and doctors were wonderful. I have been wearing contacts for years and have never received this level of personalized service or even basic explanation of the exam. This 3 September visit was a follow-up to a thorough eye exam in May during which an anomaly was detected by Dr. Sapho Doan. As Dr. Doan had predicted during the first visit, the anomaly was resolving itself. During this follow-up, Dr. Doan explained in detail what the likely cause of the anomaly was and made sure that all my questions were answered. Dr. Doan has a calm and reassuring demeanor that encourages me to ask questions and educate myself about eye health. Visits become total educational experiences with everything explained clearly and in detail. I highly recommend NVDO.

I love this practice. I have been a patient at Crystal City since 2002 and a patient at Loehmanns before that since about 1996. The doctors are great, the staff is great, the facility is clean and comfortable and I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment. I never feel rushed and the doctors are very accessible. When I had to see a specialist recently, she was impressed at the workup and care that Dr V has given me all these years. They also have the best glasses!!

Dr Vroustrouris is the best optometrist I have ever been to in my many years of wearing glasses and contacts. She isnt satisfied until I have the best vision possible for my eyes. She is attune to and concerned about overall eye health, pointing out and monitoring conditions previous optometrists ignored. She is unfailingly patient and explains what and why in laymens terms. She will refer to specialists as necessary and keeps close tabs on what they find. The opticians are also the best. They take time to listen to any issues with glasses and make sure they are perfect. The technicians are professional and explain procedures. The front desk staff are always helpful and in good spirits which is a reflection of how well they are treated.

My visit with Dr Doan was very productive, she listened to my questions and provided useful answers and feedback. She worked with me to improve my prescription glasses that I use for computer work which is a big help. The staff was very friendly and made the entire visit a pleasant one.

Love this place!! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who ask!!They were recommended to me by a coworker. Extremely friendly, and they were able to fit me into the schedule without having to wait weeks. Dr. Sparrenberger was amazing. We talked about my eye sight and the problems I was having. He gave me two options for contacts with enough testers to try both for a week before I decided which one I liked better. They have a nice selection of glasses. I had my lenses changed, and they called me to tell me it would take a few extra days. I absolutely love them. And you can order contacts and have them delivered to your house.

I’ve been getting my eye exams here for four years now. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and go out of their way to be helpful. Most of their glasses are brand name and I’m more of a Costco shopper but their contacts prices are comparable to online discount sites so I order through NVDO. Highly recommend.

We have been patients of Dr. Vroustouris since 2010. I have a family of 5, and we are all in glasses or contacts. Dr. V is passionate and knowledgeable about eye health; and when she detects specific problems outside of her specialty, she gives excellent referrals.The office staff (technicians, admin support) is great as well: efficient and informed on everything from sunglasses and frames, to vision testing and appointment scheduling. On the rare occasion they make mistakes, they contact us immediately and let us know the actions theyve taken to correct the situation.I have recommended Dr. V and this office to colleagues and clients. The good: the Dr. seemed knowledgeable and the designer frame selection was impressive. The bad: I have never received such poor customer service (rude, condescending). The fact that impolite staff members were put in charge of representing the business in essential steps of the process (choosing a frame, ordering lenses, contacting insurance), completely flabbergasted me. I did not buy their glasses because of this, and would warn prospective customers.
