Nice people, but extremely overpriced. Convenient but limited selection. Ok price on some frozen dinners. Coffee is watery. No longer accepts CalFresh.

Limited on what they have, but they try! They work hard to keep the marketplace clean and safe.

Good selections, very pricey if youre not using j-points. Staff is friendly, sandwich makers can be a little slow. Overall a lot more convenient than going across to the J for a quick bite or off campus for things like bread.

Put prices on things and stop being so grumpy about people forgetting to leave their bags at the door. Also, when you do eventually figure out what things cost, its usually a bit pricy when you consider you are selling to college students... Good fresh-made food though.

You have to take off your backpack before you enter in...today after I bought my food, I wanted ketchup but because I entered through the front, I grabbed my backpack and proceeded to go to the back. The lady sitting at the front exclaimed you cant go that way, you need to go back outside and then go to the back. I just walked out. I will no longer be coming here because it is disrespectful that I need to walk all the way to the back just to get ketchup after I already paid for my food!

I stopped coming here once they implemented their “leave your bags at the door” policy. Its unfortunate, because I did enjoy coming here, but im not willing to risk getting my backpack and its contents stolen in order to protect the sanctity of an overpriced bag of chips. On the bright side, the rule has given me the incentive to spend my money elsewhere.

I’ve been coming here for 3 semesters every morning and today I was unable to pay for my coffee as my card declined. Instead of letting me come back the next day to pay for this cup and tomorrow’s, they poured the coffee down the drain.Maybe they should move their establishment to a place that enjoys wasting food/beverages.I will not be going back to a place that I once enjoyed coming to in the morning hours.Zero stars if I could#wasteful

Can be overpriced and has a limited produce (fresh fruit and vegetable) section of average quality; however, has delicious pizza, pastas and salads made fresh daily, and a wide selection of frozen food, vegan and vegetarian options, dry goods, etc. Before 5 p.m., the deli prepares hot and cold sandwiches to order. The cashiers are very friendly. Good place for a late night snack run (open til midnight 7 days a week!), a quick meal, or a mini grocery shopping trip.

Everything is a little pricey but does have many of the necessities of a college student. If anything is purchased, best to use J-points or C-points. If a student has J-points though, best to head to the J for food since prices there are super cheap.

Love grabbing a quick sandwich or salad barEven the hot foods are good. Enjoy the indoor or outdoor seating.

Decent sandwich bar, other than that the prepared food is always sitting in water or otherwise sub-par, and everything else is unnecessarily expensive. Most notable I think is the demeaning ‘leave bags and backpacks at the door’ rule they’ve implemented instead of maintaining or improving security.

They force you to leave your bag at the door and claim they are not liable if someone steals your belongings. Even if it’s a $1000 Macbook. They also force you to take your receipt? Whether you want it or not. This place is what I imagine a ration line in the Former Soviet Union is like.

Staff are rude which I think stems from fear that management will terminate them should they make a minor error. also they are run by housing and dining services which holds a monopoly on the food choices on campus (marketplace, depot, windows cafe etc.) they also employ this leave your bag at the door policy in which they claim they are not responsible for stolen property yet yell at you should you accidentally walk in with your bag. their prices are exorbitant considering most of their customers are poor college students. the cashiers also FORCE you to take your receipt whether you want it or not. they wont toss it out on your behalf.

Decent food, useless policies. Instead of installing cameras to prevent bags of chips from being stolen they force everyone to leave there backpacks easily stealable at the front entrance, and they pay an employee to stand at the door and force people to leave their backpacks. With the cost of that employee they could easily install cameras or just take the stolen chips and rice crispy treats loss. They dont ban huge jackets or baggy clothing, stealing is easy without a backpack. They just want to pay a full-time employee to force students to put their valuables at risk. Lamesauce.

Its a college market, so everything is WAY more expensive than it should be. There is some good stuff made in the deli. Sometimes it takes 25 minutes for them to make a sandwich.

Food itself is good, but the student employees can be hit or miss. Ive had several experiences where items were listed at the wrong price and I only found out when looking at my receipt afterwards. The leave your backpack at the door rule is demeaning.
