The girls there are extremely knowledgeable about video games. Wyatt is a master when it comes to selling video game warranties :-) I would definitely recommend you ask the girls for their recommendations oh, they will not steer you wrong :-)

Honestly I dont usually purchase video games anymore at the store however whenever I do I choose this place simply because their customer service is excellent and their game selection is amazing. Its no wonder that they received the prestige rating,trust me they live up to it. I used to come over to this place when I was younger approximately 15 years Ago and they cease to amaze me. Their staff is very friendly and very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Theyre not like your typical game store where they pressure you into looking for different types of games they let you pick what you want and never have a negative thing to say about it. Keep up the great work guys.

This place must be under new management! As Ive had not so great experiences before. GS associate Mike made it happen for me. I ordered a 1tb Xbox One Call of Duty Advanced Warfare console and I was expecting the custom controller to come with it but it did not I was ready to turn it in but Mike came through with the matching controller for the system no hassle no cost really easy transaction during a busy Christmas . Made my day I really appreciate him great experience at this store.

Some days are good, some days are bad. One of the Managers does have an attitude though. They havent had one with me but I have seen it with other costumers that arent even being disrespectful or rude. The associates are very nice and helpful, but like I said, some days are good, and some are bad. But I understand cause I used to work for Walmart and I know how it feels to deal with costumers all day. Sometimes it is very stressful. But overall I like shopping at this one. Ive been getting all my games here for over five years and will continue.

All Game Stop store suck, when it comes to prices but there are only 2 in the High Desert and this one isnt bad at all. Very friendly employees, wouldnt mind working there myself. I have been to 3 Midnight Releases and next year (2015) when Uncharted 4 is released I will be at the Apple Valley Game Stop at Midnight picking up my copy.

Gamestop, no matter where you go has to have THE WORST Customer service I have ever seen. If youre here to make one quick purchase and theres a customer right in front of you then be prepared to stand there for at least a good 10-15 minutes because for some reason they cant stop talking to their customers about video games nor are they in a rush to complete the transaction in a speedy and timely manner. Go to BestBuy or Target instead. So many bad things about this company and their business practices. This company should have gone bankrupt if it wasnt for all the people they con out of their used accessories and games. That is their revenue. YouTube it, Google it.

So, I wanted to buy a 3ds xl for my daughter. And at first everything seemed ok. I usually get my games at game world, so this was a different experience. Fist off, its rude when a customer asks about something and the employees talk to eacher stating no one EVER plays that system and proceed to laugh. What made it worse is that rhey acted like i didnt hear it. Ok whatever. So i got a refebished 2ds, which is fine it was a little cheaper. I went to my car and the whole thing was needed a passord to access it. So i went inside and ANOTHER employee gave me attitude the whole time when i asked if they could look at it. Finally, the only good employee there came out and politly said he was sorry and that he would fix it. Out of that whole experience, he was the best employee there. I am NEVER going there again. Thank god theres gameworld.

My husband and son were just at Game Stop in Jess Ranch, Apple Valley. Well, when they walked they were told they could not help them that they were closed. The manager and his employee were ringing out another customer as they were telling my husband they could not help him or our son. My husband asked if they were seriously not going to help him because obviously nothing was shut down because they were ringing up another customer, and the manager & his employee looked at eachother then said no to my husband. My husband was not to happy. Its not like the systems were closed, so they could have easily helped them. My husband let them know this is why he doesnt come to THIS store and anytime he does go to THIS store they always have a way of making an innocent mistake. Not only that, the employees arent very knowledgeable there & they are ALWAYS RUDE. The only time we go into that store is if they are the only 1 that has what we are looking for. Anyway, I decided to call the store to speak with a manager & also to get the corporate number. Well, low and behold it was the manager who answered the phone. He was the RUDEST MANAGER I have ever spoke to. He remembered my husband & said he wasnt to happy. I asked the manager why he was rude & would not help my husband for barely 5 mins of his time, because they were ringing out another customer & in a very rude, disrespectful tone, said it was because the other customer was there for a long time. I told him that was not right & he proceeded to get loud with me telling me he doesnt care. He couldnt help my husband & he could care less what I thought. He was rudely telling me to have a great rest of my evening and I told him I am going to call corporate. He yelled, I dont care, go ahead! and hung up. Well, as far as I am aware that is not how a manager is supposed to speak to his customers. He is a representation of his store. I will be calling corporate as well as another manager at this store. So for all of you wondering what one to go to as far as selection, knowledge, availability, and customer service, do yourself a favor and go to the Victorville one.

I usually love most Gamestop locations, but the one in Jess Ranch is terrible. The red headed albino girl doesnt even look you in the eyes, just stares at her computer and talks at you like youre non-existent. You wont even get a smile out of her, its almost like shes been computerized. The rest of the employees quote prices on the phone that upon coming in, were 50% less than what I was quoted. Most employees have no idea about alot of the top games. Seriously where do you guys hire these people from? friends/family?? Find some employees with a passion and enthusiasm for gaming. If I wanted to talk to a robot Id just order from my computer instead. Ive spent thousands on thousands at Gamestop but Ill never go back again. Ill do digital downloads for now on instead.

If he or anyone else thinks they should get get more cash for their used games, then go sell it on eBay. Walmart lets you trade in games now too, and they give less trade-in value than GS.

Gamestop is a complete scam. They pay you pennies on the dollar for used goods then sell them for a huge markup. Illegal? No. Unethical? PerhapsWhat is definitely unethical is that they will deceive you as to the value paid for your used goods. I called them and asked them how much money I could get for a particular item. I was very specific that I wanted cash and not trade-in credit. I was quoted a number (which sounded reasonable, considering my knowledge of their penny-pinching ways) and I agreed to it, then drove over to the store and waited in line.By the way, at this store, there will ALWAYS be a line. Management apparently doesnt have the intelligence or competence to hire enough people to man the registers, because there is almost always only one register open with a LONG, LONG line in front of it. Considering the fact that transactions for video games seem to take longer than transactions for other goods at other stores, it takes forever. This is due in part to the fact that Gamestop employees must push a wide variety of products and services on their unwilling customers, which, to be fair, is the corporations fault and not this stores in particular.Anyway, needless to say, when I got to the store and waited in line, after I had listened to their parroted spiel of useless products and services, assured them I wanted no part of these sad gimmicks, I was finally told the amount I would receive for my product: It was half what I was quoted over the phone. In utter disbelief and quiet fury, I reminded the employee of the amount I was quoted. Thats trade-in credit, he said, shaking his head sadly at my missed opportunity to have the high privilege of store credit at this rip-off establishment.I thought about pointing out how specific I was over the phone that I wanted cash and NOT store credit, but I knew it was useless. I, believing in the simple integrity and common decency of folk, had been fooled by these high priests of intelligencia, those wily warlocks who know the power (and cash value) of a well-told lie.Me: 0. Gamestop: 1. 1 star, that is. Wear it well, Gamestop. Dont let its sharp corners cut you in that Pinocchio nose of yours.
