They let a lady who flips dogs and has no business license sell unvaccinated, sick puppies on their property. I guess this is where the new flea market (literally!!!) is in town!

Good place to find what you need at a reasonable price. I shop here a lot you find lots of international ingredients how ever Joni was the cashier who checked us out. Its a busy store and long line which I dont mind Joni took her time scanning and checking out customer so as other cashier she looked at all of us standing in line and said there are 5 more register down there 🙄 ok not the way to end my day 🤦

Great place to shop but won’t be returning since they won’t 86* the lady selling sick puppies in their parking lot. Management doesn’t care.

Very helpful produce staff on todays visit -- they cut into a papaya so I could see how many seeds it had. They also sell loose bean sprouts (hard to find) and have the best prices on fresh herbs Ive seen anywhere. Eloy was especially helpful and friendly today.

This places sells unique and hard to find international ingredients/food items. The building seems very old and in need of maintenance. The prices are lower than most places to sell similar items.

Prices are reasonable and that people are nice customer Service is excellent Mountain View supposedly the ghetto I dont know who the manager is but I will say this he got my respect has a Newcustomer. they keep it nice and clean he runs a tight ship. So I dont know who the man is but thank you do an awesome job groceries that they do carry heater to a lot of different nationalities you doing something right you been a long time good job obviously this is not a first Rodeo.

Its a very interesting supermarket. You can but things there that arent available anywhere else. But things are locked up that are more expensive.But I found products here in bulk sizes that I couldnt find anywhere else.And flavors that just arent sold anywhere else.

The only place in Alaska that we can get stone-buhr wheat flour. Good service and nice employees.

Absolutely love this store. Customer service is pretty good. Prices kinda high on some stuff, but either way it’s worth it.

Not the greatest location and the interior is a bit drab, but this is truly a supermarket filled with international foods not always easy to find in Anchorage. Definitely the largest selection of Asian grocery products and brands.

I was quite disappointed to see that we couldnt bring our children into the store. While I understand that children can pass germs, anybody can. There is no way that I would leave my children (ages 8 and 6) home alone or in the car while I shop. Thats not safe at all. I have to bring them with me because I cant afford a sitter. I think that Red Apple needs to re-think its policy here. As a local business owner trying to support another local business, this is very disappointing. If somebody from ownership would like to reach out to me, please do so.

I used to like going here for the odd things you cant find elsewhere. But it is, in the end, just a grocery store. Today I attempt to enter with my 4 year old son and am told they dont allow children anymore. Well, I will be spreading that word as far and wide as possible and never shop here again. So much for supporting small local shops.

I get to the store park and take out my kids. A worker tells me no kids in the store. Thats upsetting. Live an hour away come here to be turned away because I have kids. Definitely lost my business. So ridiculous. Times are hard and they made it so much harder.

One of the few places my wife and I can find the ingredients to make delicious Filipino food. The prices are pretty good and there is always an abundance of products available. It would be five stars, but the location and activity of people outside the store make it exhausting to go there. Every time we are there, there is either a Community Patrol van or police car there to pick up a very well-behaved citizen.

Not All But Allot of there Cashiers Are Not Very polite, Instead of interacting with the customer whom there Checking Out There Busy speaking to anyone else.. Ive Had a Cashier Let Someone behind me go ahead of me and wouldnt let me speak about it.. other than that they do have allot of Products you dont find elsewhere.

Found many things I like to snack on but havent checked out the meat department yet. The staff was very nice to me and one even helped me find a seasoning to use on porkbelly. I have never seen an Asian store before but this was a great find. I am looking forward to going again for more things to add to my kitchen.

Red Apple is the place to go for things you cant find AnyWhere else! They offer great sales and the staff is friendly and helpful. Its an awesome neighborhood grocery store that caters to the diverse community that we call Mt. View!

This store has such a great variety of international and American foods. If you need something they will do their best to get it for you. They cater to many ethnicities and have friendly staff.

Red Apple has changed a lot. It used to be the store in the neighborhood. Now EVERYBODY goes there. Great selection of Asian products everywhere. I was shocked to see black rice (purple like) and duck eggs.

They get a 5 Star rating for largest variety of international food/items. They are the walmart of Asian/Hispanic items. They might not be the cleanest or freshest, but you would have to visit another country to know that this place is clean enough 🤣 and the prices aren’t too bad neither.

My daughter and I love red Apple! They have absolutely everything in there! They have prell, they have finesse shampoo! I havent been able to find finesse shampoo since I was in high school in 1993. They have everything everybody super night I super love it when they have coupons!

Id give it a 3.5 stars but hey, 4 works.Its a good place to get the things you need whether its some steaks (hit it around opening for the best) or a case or two of soda. Theres frozen goods, breakfast options, most of what you might need.

Its a expensive cheap store. The staff are friendly but the other customers were questionable. If your riding a bike make sure you have a bike lock for outside because they will not let you bring your bike inside while shopping. Western union line was really long and took a long time because theres only one person in customer service and one computer. I recommend going some where else for sending or receiving money.

Great place to shop for Asian food. The shelves are always full and the staff helpful. This is the best Asian Market in Alaska.

If your looking to purchase international products, i.e. Asian, Oriental, etc, then this place is for you. Lots of great products on shelves but the location is in an area that I wouldnt go at night alone.

Red Apple Market has great value for shopping food other supplies, you name it. The only place in town that sells western family brand bags, the best ones I say. Mexican sodas, weird Asian stuff, you name it😎👍!

Basically a smaller, local supermarket, compared to big dogs like Fred Meyer or Walmart. They still have pretty much what you need such as seafood, frozen food, alcoholic beverages, fruits, dry goods, etc, just like other supermarkets. What sets them apart is that they have a lot of Asian and other products that can only be found in the lower 48.There are plenty of parking spaces but I wouldnt stand around and hang out, due to the area this place is in. Watch for solicitors when you exit or enter your vehicle.

What a great store! They carry so many of the special Asian foods that I havent been able to find anywhere in Anchorage. I was not expecting such a great selection. So many of the items I couldnt find at New Sagaya, I was able to find here. Love it!

This place is great for finding all kinds of different foods from different cultures. I didnt give a perfect 5 stars because they dont sell prepared Masa for tamales. Definitely worth going to.

It was quite interesting seeing cans of corned beef and Spam locked behind a glass case with a sign saying that if you want any of the items to get an employee. Aside from that oddity, being in one of the worst parts of town and significantly overpriced in just about everything is good enough of a deterrent to not really care to go back there again. The only thing going for it is the unusual food items, particularly for people from Asian countries. Also, no public restroom, in case that matters.

I love this place. They always have the oddball things that they dont have that cars or Safeway. Not to mention literally have better sale then cars for Safeway you just got to watch for them.

Red Apple is a very small grocery store that sells allot of Asian and east Asian goods. From halal meats to rice candies form china, rice steamers and Indian spices. The neighborhood is a little rough so I would night advise going late at night. They are reasonably priced and also have a good produce section.

This store has a huge selection of asian foods and ingredients so far since they recently did an expansion. The prices for their meats are good and produce is reasonably priced too. The area is still a little shady but the on site security try to keep things smooth. I really wish the parking lot lighting would be LED so you can see better in the dark but all in all its a great place to get your Asian foods or ingredients.

Love the best thing about it all the more time I have a good day to shopping for my family to get a good deal

I love their selection of ethnic foods and basic groceries. Employees are friendly, the store is kept clean, theres plenty of parking, and buses run nearby. This is a wonderful neighborhood store.

I love going here they have great staff most of which have worked there a long time and therefore know the store well. They have recently in the past year or so expanded the store and therefore have even more variety of thier food n spices.

I just watched a manager tell a young woman she couldnt pay for her lotion with a Walmart gift card. What should have been an awkward possibly humorous error ended with me calling 911 on that womans behalf. The normal security guard who is Awsome, by the way, was NOT there. The manager, a grey haired white man in his 60s with a mustache grabbed her by the arm and was wrenching her arm while three more Male employees grabbed her other arms. So there were two grown, huge men on each of her arms dragging her out of line INTO THE STORE. The argument had gotten loud but this is where the Red Apple Manager BROKE THE LAW. I stepped in front of them and asked if he was an officer and if she was under arrest. He looked me dead in my face and said This is none of your business, walk away. I told him she hadnt broken any laws but them grabbing her was assault. THATS WHEN I NOTICED ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WAS TRYING TO HAND CUFF HER! I pulled out my phone and said I was calling the police. She was begging me for help, my two girls got to watch as that women was dragged into the back of the store. My 911 call was less than professional, but the dispatcher explained to me that she was probably getting arrested for shoplifting!!??? The officers that showed up said the same thing. I told them I was glad they were here now & what I saw while they walked up to the store. They werent phased, and repeated that the woman was most likely stealing as they went in. We kept walking away and I told them that she got dragged to the back of the store by four men so she was still in there.This was near noon on Friday, June 14th. I dont know that woman, she looked like 20s or maybe early 30s, but its hard to tell when she shes red faced with terror, crying and screaming, Wait, I have money, you cant do this. I didnt break the law. Somebody help me.At the Red Apple Grocery, in Mountain View.

Prices are pretty high here. Most of there products are for the Asian and Samoan communities. The products that are for everyone else are way to highly priced. Example: there Coffeemate creamers are at least $2 higher than regular stores. Way to highly priced.

I love the opportunity to buy the foods I crave ar decent prices. Best chicharrones in town. So many things you wont find anywhere else.

Amazing low prices in a wide selection of food from many regions unpleasant location but great diverse community oriental owned and operated you have access to pulltabs inside I believe check cashing and large selection of oriental food as well toward the back off to the side every experience had was always interesting browsing the oriental section also located near by is a brown jug for your spirits and a bingo hall next to it

If you have important bags take to the office. That improves taking care of from people taking your important bags.

Everything is almost always expired and customer service it terrible. Went in with coupon for a couple things and the woman told me I couldnt use the coupon on a certain item because it had a different picture then on the coupon even though it was the same damn thing name and all. Just a different character on it.

I have been shopping at the Red Apple for over 30 years. I was surprised to read some of these reviews. They have always been polite and I had no problems writing personal check for my purchases. Of course it is a local bank account and that makes a difference in this day and age of people ripping off checks. I dont know of very many places that will take an out of state check. You can save a ton of money especially if you get their coupon book. If I am not sure of the brand, I buy one and try it before I buy a lot of it. I think most of us do that. They carry hamburger that is $2.99 a pound which is a buck cheaper that anywhere else in town. It is 15% fat where most of what is $3.99 at other stores is 20% fat. The Western Family products that they sell is on par with more expensive brands. They have items that you cant find in most other stores. They have dehydrated hash browns, gallon size milk carton look that are $8.99 and I think it equals 10# of potatoes. Hot water and in the micro for 3-4 minutes and you can fry them up for breakfast. There are many items such as this. The first time you go, give your self a lot of time to look it over. It isnt a fancy store but it is clean and you can save a lot.

After I say this I probably will not find my favorite foods. The carry pigs feet, tripe and pasteles. When I go to the store I get all the pasteles they have. These pasteles are sold frozen and they are pretty tasty. I made a mistake of offering them to my family and now, I have to go early or I won’t find any. Also if you go between 1st of the month and the 5th you won’t find any either. They also carry viandas like yuca, great squash year around and bacalao, the real bacalao and the other stuff that looks like the real stuff but much cheaper. I like the real cod with plantains, green bananas, yuka and squash basted in olive oil. Yum! I am out so I better go to the store before any of you go and empty the store.

Prices are cheap. They have the most ethnic foods of any stores in the state. Products are always in stock. Service there is very good. I rather shop for food there rather than Wal-Mart.

Id like to talk about the store and the people who were there the personality the will to help customer . Barber of the meat department what a wonderful person have been there for years I live here Wasila and shes been the person who have I called and asked over the years of almost 20 years because this no store like red Apple in Wasiilla the meat department.
