Our double-paned dining room window developed a big crack. I contacted several businesses in Anchorage that replace glass, requesting (online) estimates. I heard back from three vendors, one being Andrew of Glass Doctor of Anchorage. His quote was the best, plus he went to the trouble of actually calling me (the personal touch). Once I decided to go with Glass Doctor, Andrew came right out to look at and measure the window. Within a few days, the glass was cut and installed. I liked doing business with Andrew, because he was prompt, thorough and competent, plus the price was very competitive. We will definitely go with Glass Doctor of Anchorage again if we need another window pane replaced.

Opposite experience to those posting. Got a quote from Andrew, but when we called back to schedule the work he said there was no quote and he couldnt do it. He then suggested we go elsewhere and when we asked what he recommended he just hung up.Not sure what changed, but it was a disappointing experience

Went through insurance to do a vehicle windshield replacement and the insurance company couldnt get ahold of them when they called and told me to give them a call the next day if they didnt call me by noon. No call from Glass Doctor, so I called them and no answer, so I left my information in a voicemail. I heard nothing back, so I tried calling multiple times, tried to email them, and finally was able to get ahold of someone on Facebook saying that Andrew would get back to me the next day and apologized for the bad customer service. He finally called and we scheduled an appointment. I go to show up for the appointment and he had never mentioned that his garage was an actual house garage, so my car didnt fit in due to having a roof rack on the top. He was frustrated and told me I had to reschedule, which was fine, but when I asked while I was there when would be a good time to come back he just sighed and said hed have to check his computer and give me a call back. The entire time I was there he continually kept sighing like I was this huge inconvenience to him even though I apologized twice for having the roof rack on (even though he never told me I shouldnt have one). Needless to say, I did not go back to him for service and switched to another glass provider. Would not recommend at all.

We gave a call to Andrew after an attempted break in to replace a broken window. He was prompt in responding, followed through quickly and had our office window replaced in a matter of days. Clean, accurate work along with prompt, professional service and at a fair price!

I sent an email to the glass doctor of anchorage after business hours and he replied to me right away. My appointment was for 2 pm 3/25/19. I was early he got me right in. I had my car back in about an hour even though he told me it would take two hours. Andrew is a very nice man who knows what he is doing.

He got rid of my first glass was all smashing and ugly into a brand new excellent new quality glass. It didn’t took a whole week nor days just simply 2 hours and I got my glass cleaner for free! For anyone else wants to fix there crack car window I would highly recommend here.

Horrible service will not ever recommend

NOOO... dont do it. Believe the poor reviews. Someone broke into my car early in the morning hours. I left a voicemail requesting a call back, but also contacted another company; I was price shopping. Later in the day, I received a call from Glass Doctor. He was less than cordial or professional and when I mentioned that I went with another company, with a loud sigh, he abruptly terminated the call by only stating bye. He was emotionless, heartless, and failed to promote his business otherwise. The point is, had he called me back earlier in the day or with more professionalism, I might have changed companies. The guy didnt even try to provide me with a lower price. Nor did he try to match the quote with quicker service which would have been a VERY enticing offer. I guess the universe was watching out for me. I dont typically like big chain companies but Safe Light out-shined Glass Doctor with tact, professionalism, and thoughtful condolences - which was great considering they werent the ones who broke my car window. For these reasons, I will not give Glass Doctor of Anchorage any business nor recommend them. I will also call State Farm and request they be taken off their referral list.

I originally was going to go with a competitor, but after finding out about their 12 month warranty (others was 6) went with them through my insurance. Shady operation. 1 star is 1 star too many. Made an appointment for a windshield being replaced. My wife and I arrive early, no one is present. I stay 10 minutes waiting -- wasting my time. No one there. The place was locked up; fence locked up; deserted as if vacant. No calls answered.

Awesome service. He found additionao cracks in our windshield besides what I originally saw and fixed them for free. He was able to fit me in on the same day as the crack happened so that it wouldnt spread. I appreciated his attention to detail and the fact that the owner is the man fixing youy windshield. Hard to find that kind of service anymore. Go see him for your glass needs!!!!

Andrew is the best!!!!! I drove up he was ready, directed me in to the work area, greeted me and was very professional. Andrew explained the process, the warantee and the pricing (again). He explained the steps he took and made sure I knew what he was doing. I will say that if you are thinking if a DIY kit stop, dont do it. If you mess it up you cant undo your mess up and then you are going to be buying a new windshield. I HIGHLY recommend Glass Dr. The others are over priced and you are paying A LOT just to have someone vacuum your car.
