They have good building products for our home renovation. The only reason it’s not a 5 star rating is the woman at the Will Call counter whom every time (we’ve been here multiple times) we pick up our orders, she is always impatient and behaves like it’s a bother to assist. Not every customer is experienced and buying materials for a homeowner (not a contractor) can be intimidating. A little kind and patient customer service should be basic.

This is our second front door purchase from Ganahl and we couldnt be happier! Victoria has helped us both times and she is absolutely FANTASTIC! Her customer service and communication are above and beyond. The price is very competitive and quality is outstanding. The door installer said the craftsmanship is some of the best hes ever seen. I highly recommend Ganahl in Anaheim and especially Victoria if youre looking for new windows or doors.

The older employees here dont want to get off their chair to help someone out. I went to the lumber department and a young man was attempting to help us but because he had been recently transfered to this store he had to ask his older bald coworker if the product that I needed was sold by their store. The older bald man at the lumber counter responded with sarcasm. I was then asked to go to the door and Windows department to ask for a catalog. Another older man there with glasses gray hair seemed to not like getting up from his chair and asked questions in an agressive way as if he was bothered that someone showed up to his counter when he was sitting at a desk looking at a computer screen. These people should find a job that they like, they seem to have been doing that job for too long and they do not like or understand what customer service is.

I went there today (Oct 12, 2021) for the 1st time ever. Bought a sheet of plywood, they cut it in half for me so I could carry it home in my car. $43 out the door compared to $78 at Home Depot, I live in Tustin but Ill be back aHomo

First time at this location. Got immediate help, paid for the material and headed for bay 2. Needed 400 pieces of 1x2, got there and the bay was almost empty. Staff came by asked if I needed help, he located the remainder of their stock and told me hed be right back. While waiting, no fewer than 4 people asked if I needed help. Before I knew it, an entire pallet of wood was delivered. While I was loading, a couple of staff asked if I needed help. Great service. I also have to mention that everyone was properly wearing their masks covering mouth and face.

I was here on a work visit but definitely will be coming back to do some shopping. I was unaware that they were open to the public. If you are a contractor who needs great service I highly recommend coming to Ganahl Lumber. Support your local community and businesses.

I get all my paint here and always get perfect color matches every time - often on the same day because theyre so fast. For one thing the Ganahl lumber in Anaheim is trying to pass off number two boards as number one boards that’s total bait and switch bait and switch I reported them to the better business Bureau for false advertising I don’t like buying things from liars I lost $1000 the customer noticed that they weren’t number one board either HD lumber supply has better wood makes me sick to say take a look at the boards pleas Do they look like number one boards???? I don’t think so twisted my wrist and elbow avoiding splinters number one prices For a number 3 graded board also Their Makita Phillips number two bits are defective they slipped out of the Phillips head number two screws here I have a picture of a number one Doug for kiln dried board 2x8 down below they should look like that on all four sides should look like that And why buy paint her go to Dunn Edwards Got an anti-fraud from BBB never takes every last breath in my body I will see that the lumber will be priced according to its real grade or write a letter to the district attorneys office and make a big stink about this Call the newspapers also maybe the IRS might want check in on the goings

Top notch lumber yard with all the big boy toys one could ask for. They carry quite a few items no one else has in stock. Stucco moulding is one of those items. Everything one would need to build a house from the ground up!

Buy your lumber and other building materials here, theyre great.....but dont make the most of buying any windows and doors from that department. Give them the dimensions, pay a fortune, and the unit(s) still dont fit.

Order wasnt correct. They were not willing to pull more wood out. Spent more than 2 hours here. Service was not good. Nothing compared to the service provided by Ganahl in Corona. If my color was different the treatment would be different, definitely could see that.

Everyone is always very helpful here. And the variety of lumber and wood that they carry in stock is awesome.

Very organized Warehouse Quick Offloading easy in easy Out Friendly Staff

Great variety of items including lumber in stock. Did not have the exact type of siding I was looking for, and sales rep tried to sell me custom cut siding. I asked about in stock siding, and he said he didnt have a sample on hand, so he couldnt sell me. I went out to the yard to check on the siding and got that at half the price of the custom cut option. Sales guys are not the most helpful or friendly if you dont know exactly what you need there.

I was disappointed and a little nervous because many of the employees either didnt were a mask, or their masks werent covering their noses. One of the people in the lumber department had a scarf but he only put it on when he was cutting wood. As soon as he was done cutting the wood he pulled it down even when he was talking to a client.

We returned over $3,000 worth a lumber to the Anaheim branch. Giovanni Cruz has been avoiding my phone call for the past 3 months not crediting our account. I would not recommend these guys. They are quick to take your credit card but when it comes to credit they avoid you like a plague

Helpful business tip... when some one comes to the counter to place an order, get your nose out of your phone, stop texting and acknowledge the existence of your customer whose only 6 feet away. After standing for too long I gave up. Went to another counter where there was a line and only one guy attending customers. I rarely leave reviews but annoyed to come across town to waste my time. Going somewhere else.

They had what I was looking for.

Ive been a Ganahl customer for years. Mostly their staff and store are OK, but service in my opinion is heavily tainted and perhaps restricted by them being nearly the only company in the area from which to buy custom lumber. I supposed Id call it an arrogance powered by the knowledge that there is always another easier to deal with customer waiting to buy. For the record, their products are of high quality and their store(s) almost always neat and organized. I do wish I had more options, though.

Love this place...

Ganahl has all the lumber you cant get at the big box stores. They have wood working supplies and the hardwood you need to build all those wood pojects you want to build some day. They are also a great resource for your DYI remodel when you cant find what you need on the shelf at the other stores.

Large inventory, can custom order just not on weekends since they cant give you an estimate. Staff leaves so much to be desired. Staff was helpful at the store only after what I assume a manager saw me asking for help while workers chatted behind the counter, he called out to one and the guy grudgingly tagged along, he wouldnt even help carry the plank until his boss told him to. Phone is a hit and miss, I called once and the girl was helpful, told me I could custom order what I was looking for and gave me a rough estimate. When I called 2 weeks later to inquire another girl said we dont carry that when I asked about custom orders she said call back Monday, I asked to speak to someone who could give me a rough estimate and he said I dont know, I havent ordered mdf. I just wanted to know if Id be paying 100 or 1000.Front cashiers have a bad potty mouth. Didnt mind, just unprofessional.No round cuts, so Rockler is the only one I know around here that carries any. But this store has a large selection and reasonable prices for in stock items. So basically, I come here because I have little other choice.

The check out clerk Rudy sucked! When asked if Gahnal Lumber offers a Military discount he looked at me in a condescending manner and and No! He made me move to another check out line. He never said let me get your items and take them over here.... he never said please follow me... he just walked away and later said come over here... I will check you out here. After paying, walking out another check out clerk who just saw me process my payment..... says wait you need to give me proof of purchase! This blew me away... she just saw me pay and now you treat me like a thief! The only reason I give one star is the gentleman in the Red shirt that really spent time with me that really displays care for his customers and loves his job. I think he was the manager... sorry I didnt get his name.

Yes, love Ganahl Lumber, been buying construction and trade related products at all their stores for oyer 45 years. Yesterday I had an EMERGENCY SERVICE CALL for a residential entry door break-in and needed a T Astragal that no one else stocks and believe me, I need product in a hurry and the much closer big-box stores no longer carry certain products that their computer reports tell them do not generate optimum sales. Marci D. at the Anaheim store took my call, accepted my texted photos of the hardware I needed, checked stock and let me know they had it !
