First Choice offered to pickup and return my pristine 2003 Mach 1 for $1400 from Florida to Louisiana to have a rebuild of my lower rotating assembly. In addition to sending my transmission to another shop for synchro repair. James suggested that his shop could add a new clutch, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing and flywheel. It took nearly 8 months to complete and we agreed that these 2 things could be done for a budget of $8400 including the transit. James the owner only sent me 4 receipts in total for labor and invoices for the machine shop and transmission shop. Then without permission he charged me for Window repairs and alignment. Then without any receipt he refused to send the car back until I paid an additional $2300 and I had to pay a 3rd party transport company another $700 to get my car back. Once I received the car I immediately notice there was a bad vibration coming from the transmission. In addition my passenger side rear exhaust was not hung back in the normal condition. I took my car to an awesome transmission shop call A Plus Transmission near my home to have the transmission repaired. What they found is that First Choice mechanics did not know how to properly install a clutch which caused catastrophic failure of bearings, clutch and flywheel with less than 15 miles total on the vehicle since being returned. A Plus was able to repair all issues for $756 and the car runs like a champ. I wonder if I will get a refund or receipts for all the work. Probably not. So I would not recommend First Choice to anyone.

I walk inside and no one I mean no one acknowledged me at all the mechanic and the guy behind the counter just kept on talking like Im not standing there and then start watching a video on the problem of whatever they were talking about I gave them 3 minutes the same time as a round in boxing no one said anything so I turned around and walked out never again very rude and very unprofessional plus all of the cars in front of it was a red flag

Absolutely the worse service I have ever received. Kept my 2016 mustang for over 2 weeks without even touching it. Dont bother calling because no one answers the phone and if someone does answer expect Mike who is more clueless than Stacy Dash. It took three weeks to get an invoice and estimate to repair my vehicle. During the wait I contacted several shops in the area as well as priced the part at $300. The max I was told was $1200 which in itself is highway robbery. Ill be damn if 1st choice didnt qoute me at $1700 for labor for a freaking clutch replacement. To add injury to insult...when I went there to tow my car to a more suitable location, these MFS had the audacity to charge me$150 for their service which included a diagnosis. With all that being said I wouldnt recommend that my worse enemy take his skateboard there for a balance. Proceed with these people at your own risk because they could care less about their costumers or costumer service.

This has to be my favorite shops in town. They are honest and get the job done. I took my truck in during the holidays and he was able to still fix it just after Christmas. They kept me updated on the work, called me when they needed to order a part, called me when it came in and put it in and sent me home the day it arrived. They are friendly and knew a bunch of information about my truck before I even came into the shop. If your looking for the job done right, this is the place for you.

April of 2018 my daughters car was flooded. They dropped the car off 2 weeks after it was flooded because they were told that they ( first choice) could have it fixed within two months. It is now January 2019 and they barely got the car back oh, and the man was very rude with them told them they changed the electrical stuff in the car which we came to find out was a lie. Check the fb review on he calls his customers liars, admits to just setting the car aside. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO HAUKS...

If I could give them 0 stars I would.I took my vehicle there to get my air fixed.First they said it would be done that same day. Lies. It was there for 5 days. Get it back just for the air to go out that same evening. (200 something dollars) pretty sure they just put some freon in and that was it.I call them back they said I needed some parts bring the vehicle back, so I did I told them I needed it done by a certain day because I was going out of town and they promised it would be done and all fixed.Long story short it was not done I had to get a rental. Nearly $600 for that transaction still not fixed. I was furious I asked around after those 2 experiences and everytime I would bring up 1st choice to anyone in the auto mechanic industry they would all say the same thing. These people scam and con people left and right. They dont know what they are doing when it comes down to the mechanics all they are good for is tinting windows.Please save your time and money.

Brought in a vintage auto to have the engine replaced and mated up to the original transmission with a kit. They stated that they had done this type of work before. Also they were suppose to redo the clutch, brakes, electrical system. After 4/5 months they finally finished when I gave them a deadline to be done by or else it would be picked up. Now the vehicle is being repaired by another shop who has had to replace the brakes (only the master cylinder was changed at FC- they shoes, calipers, etc were totally ruined), rework the clutch, go through the electrical system to make the lights work and repair the driver side door latch that they broke. Oh, yes. They didnt even leave enough gas in it to get down the street to the station to fill up and get inspected. Do not take anything to these guys unless its for an oil change or something simple. They simply do not have the expertise to do major things correctly. Now Im out more money getting their shotty work repaired and vehicle in the condition I had asked for.
