Had just what we needed. I could spend hours here, but couldnt afford it. Id want to buy everything I saw!

Love books a million but this location took out the Joe mugs and put in a frozen yogurt bar. What were you thinking? Terrible idea. We came in for coffee and to browse. I usually buy at least 1 or 2 books while in the store but no coffee? No browse. We were traveling so this isnt our home store. Hope the change isnt coming to the rest of your chain.

Great selection of board games. Many are hard to find. Love coming here.

I have always loves BooksAMillion. This one is just not it. I usually love walking around and browsing in the store, but walking into the store I dread I might buy something. The cashier, who has long brown hair glasses, and a cheery attitude, is always pushy and fake nice. I get employees are supposed to sell the membership and there is no problem with that, but when she asks me five times in a row, after I say no thank you, is where I have a problem. This has happened multiple times. As an introverted person in general, I like getting a book to read and just relaxing by myself. Its gotten to the point any interaction with her is incredibly draining, and I have decided to go to Walmart and Target to get books rather than go and get harassed by a cashier.

I wish I could remember the emolyee that helped me with my return. He was so kind and went above and beyond to process my return outside the return date on the gift receipt. This BAM always has great customer service, but the guy that helped me was fabulous!

COFFEE DRINKER WARNING.Stopped at 3:45pm specifically for coffee. We were told there was NO COFFEE. So, this BAM has employees, a coffee counter, coffee beans, coffee makers, and no coffee! Hm. Making a GoogleMaps note ... never stop at I-65, Exit #238, Alabaster, AL for coffee at BAM. Uh, this isnt the first time coffee was unavailable here.

Service was excellent. I ask for help to find a book for my grandson. Their employee was very helpful in locating two books that he has really enjoyed.

I asked for help finding a book. I knew the authors name and the general idea of the title, but not the exact title. I was told the authors name is not enough to go by, so they couldnt help me... Then they sent me to the section they figured the book would be in based on topic so I could search for it on my own ... where I had already been ... and where the books are sorted by authors last names... What?!?! Makes no sense.

This is a great book store. It has a very relaxed atmosphere,and has a great selection of books. What I like most about this store is its great selection of games, calendars, magazines and substantive games,toys and books for the kids in your life.

Overall great experience. The only issue I had was the cashier. Seemed like it took her a minute to realize I was ready (was over where you get yogurt) but she eventually walked over to help me. Though she seemed cheery at first, something in her demeanor changed. She was short, snappy, and spoke over me. She even lied to me about the magazine subscription. As soon as she slapped my receipt down she ran back over to the other side. Ive been to this store a few times and that is the only time Ive been treated that way. I didnt get her name but she had dark hair, glasses, what looked like bites(Im not sure) and she was loud. Watch out for that one, I know I will be. Everyone else seems delightful.

If youre a fan of bookstores, Books A Million is where its at. I know, youll say, But Barnes and-- Nope.Books A Million has made one mistake since they opened forever ago, and that was getting rid of their built in coffee shop inside. Other than that minor flaw, you cant go wrong. Books, comics, and pop media items are everywhere. Journals, covers and knickknacks. Everything.The staff here is really friendly and very helpful. Theyre kind and considerate, and theyll point you right toward whatever you need.Of course, theyll ask you for a magazine subscription (they have to), and maybe to renew your membership... but other than that, you cant go wrong.

We visited on the day you could pay $0.01 per page and were pleasantly surprised by how organized the staff was. Everyone was very friendly and kept the line moving quickly. I did have a hard time finding a book I wanted, and it was hard to find someone to help me but it was very understandable because of the heavy traffic in the store.

They were great at trying to make sure I had plenty when they were substituting my order.

They had BEAUITFUL childrens books for THANKSGIVING, when ALL other stores over looked the holiday. Nice store.

Love Books-A-Million has almost any book you could want. And a few Novelties as well.

Awesome place to visit and they have a HUGE selection of books, dvds, cds, vinyl, movie memorabilia, as well as nostalgia items and quirky items meant for that special quirky person in your life. Nice, reasonable prices and the offer of the purchase of a member card that will save you even more off the low prices. I love to especially visit the one in Alabaster, AL. The staff there are helpful and pleasant to be around, very approachable and personable group of employees. They are always eager and available to help. You cant make any mistakes visiting any Books*A*Million but especially the one in Alabaster is very homey, cheerful and inviting.

Always nice to visit a large bookstore and check out all the titles that never make it to a best seller list. I love the vast selection of magazines, too. Rather than have a Joe Muggs coffee shop, this one had a frozen yogurt shop in its place. Lots of toys and collectables, too. Just a fun place to shop and browse. You never know exactly what you might find.

I love my Kindle but theres nothing quite like the feel of a real book in your hands. And the smell... the smell of those pages is like heaven. That being said, this place has a wonderful staff. Theyre friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to help. This store also sells much more than just books and magazines. They have everything a nerd could ask for, from Funko Pop! figures to imported blind box figures to manga and comics to records and so much more.

Had a nice time !!!Have an issue with Parents letting their kids scream their heads off for no apparent reason. They should have just taken them out of the store. God bless the poor cashier & workers for still having to listen to it.

The young childrens section seemed small in comparison to the local competitor. The cookbook section could use some expansion as well. Quiet store, nice location...the staff was very helpful, very polite.

I can always find a new book to read when i go in. They change their recommend bookes often and always have a helpful smile for anyone intrested in a good book. They even have small trinkets at the door that are dangerous for anyone with a bad spending habit. Come in for a good book and read it while you enjoy some yogurt.
