I have frequented this store since it opened. I went today 10/21/2021 to make my monthly purchase but forgot my mask. I didn’t think much of it because I am fully vaccinated and they had the door wide open. According to the CDC mask are not required when you are fully vaccinated. The male guy worker that was there became really aggressive stood up and demanded I leave. I’m sure it was because I am a black women and it made him feel like a real man raising up to a woman. He said, he did not care that I was fully vaccinated. I’m more upset with myself because I had been a loyal customer since they opened and have had many conversations with the young lady that was at the register. Alabaster Beauty Supply has taught me being a loyal customer to them does not matter. Be careful when you go there as I WILL NOT EVER GO BACK!!!!

The pricing is on the higher end and this store lack alot of the products that some of the more urban stores carry.

I always get fast and friendly service at this beauty supply store. They have a wide variety of products to choose from so you will most likely find what you need here.

Staff was nice enough but make sure to check your wig purchase before you leave. The associate wrote a ticket and bagged a wig I hadnt even looked at and was far from the wig I chose. Wig purchases are final and you cant return them..

Today had to run by and get a couple items and I love you guys store and I love your sales associate Shanice!!! she is a amazing person and always have a great positive attitude when she helps me and she is very patient with me because I’m going natural and every time she helps me I’m always satisfied with the products she recommend to me. This will always be the store I come to from now on just because of how helpful shanice is she needs a raise!!! You guys better keep her I don’t know what I would do if she wasn’t there.

Theyre a good place to go for hair supplies. The selection is decent. The staff is really friendly, helpful, and professional. They wont stare you down the whole time you shop or treat you badly if you dont decide to purchase anything that day.

Its small and the selection is limited compared to other beauty supply stores. However, this Georgia transplant is grateful that theres a store in the area.

No wigs for white ladies. They were nice enough. We like to spend money too.

Very Friendly Staff. I moved from the other side of town over a year ago and drive back almost twice a month for hair products. Im so grateful I found this place. Its about 10% more not including taxes, but the time and gas I save is still worth it. Huge selection and all brands quality hair. Try it out.

Very friendly! Very helpful! The variety is fantastic! For all races. Prices r unbelievable!! I just bought a wig at one store for $250. Went to this place & I bought 2 for under$150. One wig was $50 & the other $60.

I was always an amazon wig buyer until I took a chance to go to a wig store and I’m so glad !!! I’m in love with this store I spent about $500 on my first 3 or 4 visits bcuz it’s so good; there is so much to choose from and the stuff are so helpful and nice. I usually have so much anxiety when going to wig stores but this 1 makes me feel welcome!!!!!!!

They are really expensive for the crappie products they sell. They never have anything you are looking for. Staff is the best thing there.

They only get one star from the previous times I been there they were semi nice. My friend and I went here today and the lady was rude( the store owner wife) she watched me and my friend from the time we got in the store until the time we left. Which was weird because i come here often and always purchase something even if its only some eyelashes. But I went to he wig section I waited for 11 minutes before I was even approached and the wig I was looking at she snatched and started combing it then turned around and just stared at me. I wont be coming here anymore.

Do not shop here these people are money hungry they do not care about thier customers and will sell you any kind of hair .They do not have outside people working for them because they do not know how to treat them .They will try to be nice when your shopping and will follow you around like a puppy thinking you will steal.If your african american or any other race and you want to be treated right and feel good about your purchase do not shop here.Theymark up all their beauty products and you can get the same thing at Sallys in Alabaster for cheaper. Its all about money and they are racist and dont trust or care about their customers.Be aware stay away . I was treated really bad tonight when I went their they wouldnt let me exchange my hair for a longer length cause a twist tye was missing that was steal attached to the hair just needed to be twisted back on to the pack of the hair. I thought it would be ok cause it just needed to be twisted back on but they acted as if I had used the hair but I did nothing with it . I had the receipt to on another note I worked there for 2 days and they never paid me my money the owner just gave me $20 dollars cash and I worked 9 hours in total .hummmm.... Thats how your treated tho .I dont want this to happen to nobody else so I thought Id let everyone know I believe in being treated fair and just cause your the only basically black beauty supply store in the city doesnt mean we have to shop their. Customers deserve a great experience everytime no matter what race but mostly black people shop here.I dont never had these problems in Birmingham hair stores but the one time I chose to shop here in a long time it was horrible.
