When you come here you are treated with respect and greeted with a smile. Larry is is fantastic guy and great to talk to. He knows his stuff and will gladly help you find what you are looking for. You can set up a box where he will hold comics for you as well. If you like comics then I highly recommend visiting here. Come for a chat and leave with a comic.

Larry knows the industry and has been helping his customers through a friendly, informed and fair approach to making deals happen, from the novice to the seasoned collector, for some years. He has a loyal, long-standing clientele that is reflective of his general enjoyment at what he does - which is mostly provide a space where stories in print meet the stories that walk through his door and find a unique haven to spin a yarn or purchase a treasure. Its a salon of the old form where people meet and conversation can happen while ideas get explored and room exists for differing opinions. Ice seen people go in there after years of absence and Larry remember exactly what kind of books they liked. Could use some cleanup, open boxes of comics everywhere are a tripping hazard, but a good place to get current and used comics of all sorts.Owner will take time to explain anything you have questions about. Took the time to talk about standards and codes ofc ethics through the decades to match up themes and appropriateness for our preteen comic readers.

Larry is absolutely wonderful. I really enjoy going to his shop every week and shopping. He always has the action figure Im wanting that week, even if I cant get it yet, and his new comics section (the only section I look at) is easy to navigate.Sure the parking is annoying but his shop is worth it.

All Hail the Glory of Larry & his insistence on bringing Light & Hope into an otherwise Gloomy World! I worked at his shop for quite sometime, though working is a strong word, as I was really there to experience the blessing of such a good, hard working person, his dear friendship, & his wisdom, never mind the books! To the population at large: Ignore the punters who complain about parking & the like! did you expect a parking garage out back? Use a parking space right out front, or heck, even the ones out back! Your choice! hard to find? It has an address & says COMICS on a huge sign above the shop! Seems pretty easy to people with eyes to see. Larry is a modern day Holy Man! Hes fair, friendly, & one of the kindest, most generous people youll ever meet, not counting the fact that he runs the BEST shop in the US! Ive been all over this here globe & have yet to find anything close! Paris? No. Rome? No. London? No. I had to move & miss him daily, same as my wife, which is to say something, just as proof of how stunning he is, what he represents & what he has grown! as far as comics, I wouldnt have such a wild, huge collection if not for him! If you want it, hell have it, if not, Im sure he bends backwards! My hats off to you, Sir Larry of Atown! Oh wait, you have mine! Keep on Keeping on!

Even after living in houston and d/fw, larrys shop is still my favorite. though bedrock city comes real close. of course every shop has the same new comics but larry is what makes this shop. super friendly, super helpful and always a warm and welcoming person. great sales every couple weeks and plenty of back stock to go through. i found ex machina #1 recently, very surprised by that. located right in the middle of town, off abilenes main through street (sayles) on s. 14th. plenty of parking located around the building, though parking right up front is kind of tough. unlike jim, i have never had any trouble opening and looking at any comic and i have been going to this location for over five years. maybe he his thinking of the classic (expensive) comics that are cgc rated and sealed that larry keeps in the display. you cant just flip through a copy of amazing fantasy #15, the first appearance of spider-man. great guy that sells great comics (with a few great stories, of his own.)
